Need 1 help to an existing roof we r adding 4x25 ft cantilever. So in the joint how much epoxy should be used and how the how the lapping of the rods should be done?
Satadeep Nath thank you for watching my video. So ,4x25 =100 sqft would be your new roof. In one kg coverage of chemical is 2-3 sq meter. ..so you need only 1kg of dr.fix 211 it epoxy bonding agent Okay, now for lapping of steel rods .you need to break you existing roof by 4",from where you need to continue your cantilever. then you will see you old roof steel rods ,clean all the entire part by water,then allow it to dry. Then do rebaring for your new roof according to your structure enginner drawing. then apply dr.fix it 211 partly to your old roof in joint while casting . Don't apply for entire portion at one time.apply only 4-5 minutes before at the time of casting.make sure chemical should not get dry. If it gets dry,you need to apply once again. And to stop leakage from cantilever you need to add dr.fix it 301 in concrete while casting. This two chemicals you need to add & apply to avoid leakage from you cantilever . Thanks for the information sir. We are planning to joint old slab with new slab. Is it better to do lapping of steel rods or do welding of old rods with new rods. We have about 1.5 feet of old 8mm rod left for lapping or welding.

Now, break ur old slab to 4" to 5" deep.now as u see ur old slab bars.clean everything..and now do rebaring.after doing rebaring...schedule for slab casting...apply DR.FIX IT 211 EPOXY BONDING AGENT ,to old slab where we have made rebaring. Make sure u apply the chemical only 5 mins before,the cast of slab.dont apply for entire portion at a same time. Don't allow ur chemicals to dry,other wise, u have to apply one more coat...to avoid leakage in slab ..add chemical DR.FIX IT 301 ,while making concrete.....thank you. If steel is good..go for casting......if steel started losing its size (i.e rusted and leaving like flex ,mm) ...then do rebaring. apply epoxy agent dr.fix it 211 then go for casting
It's completely depand on your design, That how much degree's you have decided to bend. And for dr.fix it epoxy bonding agent it's 1:1 base and hardner

Okay it means d joint didnt attach well.okay np. 1st= is u can do grouting to ur slab.u can watch videos on TH-cam aur search to Google, 2nd = use dr fix it 217 crack shrinkfree to the top of ur slab,find out where the leakage is,apply there only. Fill property ( apply to top and bottom)and then use dr.fix it 190 roofseal flex,it comes wid cement n chemical,mix both in same quantity properly and apply one coat to the top,in one direction where u have applied dr.fix it 217.later after 5 to 6 hrs apply 2nd coat of roofseal flex ( dr.fix it 190) in different direction ( if 1st coat is horizontal then 2nd coat vertical ) ....then let it dry for 5 to 6 hrs....n its done

Clear ur slab ,remove all dust n loose material from ur slab..if required cheak with small stroke of 🔨 hammer..and remove the losses material.. 2. clean ur slab with water pressure..so dat all dust n loose material ll remove.and leave for some time to dry. 3. Use dr fix it 301 URP.and cement..in proportion of 1:10 .. ( one part 301 and 10 part cement) no need to add water.mix well and apply in two coats on ur slab,by brush aur by roller. Actually hv to use this only.try to find u ll get.it is perfect solution for slab joint..so try to use 211 for slab joint.....and for proofing 301 is perfect......
Sir recently we attached old slab with new one of two floors but in some area water is leaking from the joint of top floor . Sir old slab 20 years purana tha or joint k time usne sariya bhi nhi nikla toh hme brick wall pe hi support dena pda new slab ko and jinhone new slab dala unhone koi chemical use nhi kiya joint k time. Our construction is pause due to lockdown so can u suggest what we can do now to stop that leakage in future
Bhai main bar sirf 6"hi choda hai lap k lye aur distribution bar me flax a raha hai aur twist Karne par tut raha hai iska koi solution ho to bataye sir
Ek brush aata hai taar ka ( iron brush bhi bolte hai) ushe complete slab ka steel ek br saaf kr ke lo,jeetna nikal raha hai flex jaise nikalne do,phir pura slab wash kr ke le lo....jo steel bars size mai ( mm ) kaam ho gaye hai, ush se chipak ke hi require size of steel bars,binding wire se band do. Aur jo hum old n new slab join krne wale hai..waha ka steel, pura kharab ho gaya hai...toh requirement ke hisab se REBARING kr ke le lo...

If steel is good..go for casting......if steel started losing its size (i.e rusted and leaving like flex ,mm) ...then do rebaring. apply epoxy agent dr.fix it 211 then go for casting

Dont apply for entire surface at a time.
Apply step by step where u r attaching the slab,only before 5 mins....
If applied coating gets fully dry then u need to apply 2nd coat over it....
So,make sure u apply exactly before attaching the slab...

Haan dr.fix it 303 different hai.Ye concrete joint banane ke liye accha hai.Mostly use kiya jata hai, jaha pe hum concrete ke upper cement plaster karne wale hote hai,( eg.beam,column,slab from bottom etc),Kuch case main kabhi kabhi bond nahi ho pata hai.Waha pe dr fit it 303 use kiya jata hai.Par jab baat slab ki ati hai,Jaha pe steel,concrete ka bond,Aur new slab ke steel,concrete ka bond ek dam sahi banana hai ,strong banana hai waha pe Dr.fix it 211 epoxy bonding agent hi use karna hoga.

Okay...ek Dr.fix it 217 crack x-shrinkfree kr ke aata hai ...fir slab clean kr ke,ushko aap joint mai bhar do.aap ko slab ke upper bhi laga na hai aur slab ke niche se bhi lagana hai...ushke baad dr.fix it 190 roof seal flex kr ke aata hai..wo chemical aur cement ke saat aata hai.dono ko manual ke according mix kr ke..joints ke upper aur joints ke niche,pahila coat lagana hai..fir 5,6 ghante ke baad dushra coat lagana hai.....aisa karne se aap ka joint ka leakage complete band ho jayega...
Or sir agar joint ke upar 9 inch wita ki 4 stap judai krenge to kya seapage band ho jayega kya

S, we can wash the surface wid water. If it is quite wet then its okay....but usually avoid applying in presence of water...

Recently we finished attaching old and new concrete slabs but in some areas water is leaking from the joints as we are in the process of water curing the slab, so can you please suggest any best liquid or solution to apply in the joints to avoid the leakage permanently. Thank you
Okay it means d joint didnt attach well.okay np.
1st= is u can do grouting to ur slab.u can watch videos on TH-cam aur search to Google,
2nd = use dr fix it 217 crack shrinkfree to the top of ur slab,find out where the leakage is,apply there only. Fill property ( apply to top and bottom)and then use dr.fix it 190 roofseal flex,it comes wid cement n chemical,mix both in same quantity properly and apply one coat to the top,in one direction where u have applied dr.fix it 217.later after 5 to 6 hrs apply 2nd coat of roofseal flex ( dr.fix it 190) in different direction ( if 1st coat is horizontal then 2nd coat vertical ) ....then let it dry for 5 to 6 hrs....n its done
And in both the cases ...slab should be free from water....

lucky lucky thanks for watching my video.....if ur slab have perfect slope for water flow,like no water remains on slab...then its very easy...
1. Clear ur slab ,remove all dust n loose material from ur slab..if required cheak with small stroke of 🔨 hammer..and remove the losses material..
2. clean ur slab with water pressure..so dat all dust n loose material ll remove.and leave for some time to dry.
3. Use dr fix it 301 URP.and cement..in proportion of 1:10 .. ( one part 301 and 10 part cement) no need to add water.mix well and apply in two coats on ur slab,by brush aur by roller.
Always apply one coat in horizontal direction and 2nd coat in 90° direction on it.
4. Keep a time gap of complete 24 hrs before applying 2nd coat...and it's done...no leakage for sure..

Sir recently we attached old slab with new one of two floors but in some area water is leaking from the joint of top floor . Sir old slab 20 years purana tha or joint k time usne sariya bhi nhi nikla toh hme brick wall pe hi support dena pda new slab ko and jinhone new slab dala unhone koi chemical use nhi kiya joint k time. Our construction is pause due to lockdown so can u suggest what we can do now to stop that leakage in future
