Everyone hating on their newer albums. They changed styles and Dead Silence from a technical point of veiw was probably their best album. All their albums are loved by critics and generate thousands of new fans.
Agreed. I actually probably love Dead Silence the best and I've loved them since Billy Talent I. It's less raw but the songs are fantastic and maybe a bit darker? If I had to rank them right now (at least by which albums I listen to the most), it would probably go Dead Silence I II Afraid Of Heights III (this is the only BT album I was a bit disappointed with)
"If we break up Don't write a song that would Drag my name through the shit, the mud" and then few years later he drops "The Ex", am I the only one who finds this hiliarious?
I always find his lyrics hilarious first off, but I think that's the point Neverwinding. Thats his territory. He is the one who writes the songs about the shit people because he's the actual honest one. And very satirical :P
***** I meant it makes him look like a hypocrite. The songs itself doesn't trash his ex that much, but if you`re a fan and you watch their concerts you should know he trash talks her before every "The Ex" they play live, so I do find it hiliarous, but in the kind of funny way :).
Bobby Soto I didn't mean't hiliarous in a bad way, I just find it funny :P. Of course he's the artist so he`s entitled to write songs about whatever he wants, if she cheated on him she trully deserves every verse of it anyway :).
You know when dead silence album cames out i was listening dead silence, crooked minds, cure for the enemy... so many times that i forgot their classics, now i listen this and other "old" songs and find them even more awesome! (sorry for my english, not native language)
The bridge makes me feel like crying :D it's so good! I miss being a teenager and even though most bands fuck up after an album or two.. i really liked their first 3. Almost as much as Finch (i cried after i heard finch was dead :( after say hello to sunshine.) I don't cry often but music is more real than life

At first when I listened to this 3 years ago, before BT became my favorite band, I didn't like this song, it just didn't sound right, and a year later, I stumbled upon it and, BAM!!! Now it is one of my favorites! I can play the entire song, the whole guitar track on guitar, I love it. One of my favorite songs on guitar
Haha this was mine and my buddies’ TH-cam channel back in elementary school…I remember we just happened to find this version on limewire all those years ago and uploaded it. Glad people are still enjoying it all these years later
Too bad they don't have all of their work on Spotify, or for sale on their site. Would love to listen to these songs on anything else but YT. Can't even find a Billy Talent 3 Special Edition to save my life.

@Shewmuters You can try and find the Try Honesty EP for about 500$ or you can try and get a hold of the Japanese release of Billy Talent 1. You can some times see either floating around Ebay or Amazon.
It was on their Try Honesty LP. It sounds kinda "gay" because it's kinda going back to their old ska roots, which was the genre of their old band Pezz. But it also has the idea of their new style, especially in the chorus, whereas the verse is more like the old them. Listen to the song 'Nita' by Pezz. It's still them, but different genre. And it's sooo funny!
I've learned All of Billy Talent II, (Absorbed, Nita, M&M) From Watoosh! And White Sparrows, and Living in the Shadows, This is How it Goes, Voices of Violence, and Prisoner of Today. All on drums...
@own4g3m4n Before billy talent they were in a band called pezz. Pezz was theyre high school band name and thet wrote this song. Check out " Pins and needles Demo"
I think I would keep the disclaimer up hehe, youtube has been going on a mega deleting rampage on music ehh.... I don't see why so many people are complaining it probably will get banned though when it gets popular...
I haven't heard this in like a decade. Same with all of Pezz stuff. This is so nostalgic jesus..
And now they remastered and released the whole thing. Still awesome.
2023 still haven’t forgotten this gem
praying that they play this live if they do a 20th anniversary tour
And 24, 25, 26 etc. We shall meet here yearly, in a glory of this gem haha . Fingers crossed for the Spotify remaster as much as Waatoosh !
My memory lane's now paved, but this still isn't on spotify. Pezz isn't either.
Always loved how this track seems to blend their styles from Billy Talent and Pezz together.
Almost 10 years later and this song still gives me chills :)

I am surprised that this did not make it onto one of their albums.
@rockeurtendre Actually no. It was Try Honesty Album BUT it was also a bonus track on Billy Talent II (ONLY for USA though)
Man, this song was so underrated and never got the recognition it deserved. Even among the BT fans it always felt like a B side.
I never understood why they don't bring this song back for a new album a lot of fans are missing out on this one. Might be the standard tuning..

@BramBREAKDOWN no it isnt Pezz. The song is a bonustrack, from "Billy Talent 1" i think.. well i'm not sure, but it's definitely no Pezz-Song.
