Conspiracy theory has it that Riccardo was racing with Tsunoda's chasis in China. Thus, Yuki's bad showing is actually the car and not the driver, since BOTH drivers sucked while driving that particular chasis.

Let's face it.... Lance The ******* ******* Stroll, can just drive a F1 car.
Just look at his onboards. He is 100% "buzzy" keeping the car at the right part of the track and keeping the speed up.
He looks at the Apex and not the exit of the corner like Max and Lewis. He is already sattisfied getting the Apex right and turning the car.
How he exits the freaking corner does not really matter. That dude is "surviving" races like a F2 driver that has his first F1 race. (Wow, this goes fast !!!)

I just want to remind you that Stroll will be a 7 year veteran in 2024.
By the end of the season he'll be just about 3 races behind Ayrton Senna.
And yet for some reason it still feels like we're waiting on him to get to his peak.

The fact that Aston Martin's 'team principal' is being forced to go out and say that the FIA is being too hard on Lance for the penalty, when you could argue the penalty he received wasn't harsh enough, speaks depressing volumes about how much power Lance has over the team.
Honestly if I was Mike Krack (the team principle), I would genuinely consider resigning, because if Lawrence Stroll isn't willing to accept for the good of the team that Lance can't continue, and that Aston Martin F1 is just one big vanity project with an unobtainable goal (Lance winning the championship). Then he needs to for his own career stand down. Because as of right now he is damaging his own reputation every time he has to defend the indefensible.
Hell anyone with any leadership position in Aston outside of the Stroll's should consider standing down, because they deserve better than this. Every member of staff at Aston Martin F1 deserves better than this. These people can go to other places in motorsport (the fact they have accomplished as much with Alonso despite the handicap of the team owner and his son, shows they are extremely talented), and Lawrence needs to understand that it is his son 'success' or his team real success. He can't have both.

That's not to say he's the worst driver, but so long as there are Verstappens, Hamiltons, LeClercs, ALONSOs, Lance has no chance. He's far too inconsistent to ever win more than the odd pole or freak occurrence race. Lance Stroll is the BIGGEST stumbling block in the F1 driver market, Felipe Drugovich would be driving for Aston Martin if it wasn't for Papa Stroll's son. Usually in other categories like Indycar and NASCAR where it's normal for drivers to drive for their family owned teams for their entire careers, but this isn't normal in today's F1.

That would be amazing for F1 and Brazil to have this opportunity for Drugovich, he would be a better rookie than any other actual f2 driver since his reserve driver and private f1 runs with Aston Martin, here already covered lots of F1 and KM with a F1 car.

I mean another difference is that Indycar and NASCAR have more race seats (27 at the last Indy Car race and 38 at the last NASCAR race), F1 only has 20 seats. Plus with F1 blocking new teams (cough Andretti cough), it doesn't look like we will be getting any more any time soon. Which makes Stroll's permeant occupancy of a seat more detestable. It's not even fair to compare him to a pay driver like Logan Sargent, Sargent is still having to fight for his seat next year, most pay drivers still have fight to stay in F1 and are still answerable to people. Stroll isn't answerable to anyone, except his father who is blinded by nepotism.

So basically, Lance punts it into Ricciardo's diffuser destroying it and leaving him off track. Then Nico who was behind Lance overtakes Daniel under the safety car and the FIA deem it okay because Ric was out of the race with an 'apparently non functioning car'. Then Ric rejoins under the safety car and overtakes Nico to get back to what was his original position and then retires. Then the stewards slap him with a 10s penalty after the race which is converted to a 3 place grid penalty for Miami and why are points deducted for something which he had no fault in. How is this even fair? Can someone please explain me how it makes sense. Also Nando gets 10s seconds and 3 points deducted for an over ambitious overtake and Logan gets a 10 second drive through for overtaking in pits. While Lance gets just 10 seconds and just two points deducted for literally taking a driver out of the race and Kmag too gets just 10 secs for destroying Yuki's race. What green grass are the stewards on wherein according to them a failed overtake and taking back the original place a driver was in after getting rear ended for no reason is a much more heinous crime on the track then ending a whole team's race almost simultaneously under the safety car by two different drivers? The penalties given to Nando and Ricciardo are too harsh and the ones given to Stroll and Kmag were too lenient which neither affected their current race nor the next one while destroying a whole team's weekend.

He didn't really take responsibility for last seasons incident in Qatar. The responsibility was taken through Crack's statement rather than directly through Stroll, there didn't seem to be any actual repercussions, and Crack in that statement blamed the media and fans for making it a problem (showing that they don't seem to think throwing a very expensive steering wheel and shoving a team member is a problem). If he can get away with aggression like that then why on earth would he ever take responsibility for anything that happens during a race.
The irony is that some day Stroll is going to either cause an avoidable crash with dangerous consequences (and probably still blame someone else for it), or he's going to piss off one of the other drivers so much that they deck him and they'll probably face worse consequences than Stroll has ever faced for any of his mistakes. I do not have hope that Lance will ever learn, or change, or admit he is at fault. I do have hope that the financial stake holders like Honda and Aramco will eventually force Lawrence's hand, and Lance will be replaced.

Lance blaming Ricciardo on team radio should not have even been mentioned after the race. Ricciardo however got livid after hearing that and only that, he has probably witnessed first hand that that is the way Stroll acts and did not expect an apology or reconciliation after the race, which obviously did not happen. If it did, you would have both drivers speaking about the heat of the moment nature of radio messages, saying something along the lines of what Vettel said about football players not having microphones while playing.

I had faith that maybe the Q2 knockouts may have been a thing of the past, and stupid accidents like this, especially under a safety car makes Lance Stroll look a complete clown. Honestly he needs replacing ASAP if Aston Martin wants a strong future and Fernando doesn't potentially cut off his contract... I just can't believe he had the audacity to blame Ricciardo though it is HIS fault. Absolute joke of a driver man.

It's frustrating to watch Lance struggle in F1, and it's clear he's not handling it well. For years, I've been saying he can't keep up with the demands of driving at this level. He consistently struggles with making the necessary adjustments on the wheel, often dismissing his engineers' instructions as if he's too busy to bother. His recent mishaps, like not even looking in the right direction, highlight a fundamental issue: he's overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information he has to process simultaneously. Despite this, some still defend him, but it's becoming increasingly evident that he's in over his head.

I'm glad you gave Daniel some more (positive) attention with this, because he deserved it this weekend. It would have been nice to have some of that in the winners and losers video, but it's good that you've highlighted how well he was doing and how utterly (disproportionately) consequential Stroll's "oopsie daisy" was. Not only for the Chinese GP but also the next one, which is why Daniel was justifiably so angry. Stroll is just such a toxic and entitled presence in F1, it's painful. For me, it has to be dealt with by F1 more firmly. They are suffering as a brand too when he pulls stuff like this...
