Yo man, I feel you should give more points for certain categories. Factors such as application, hold, finish etc. are infinitely more important than scent, packaging and what not. In my opinion, a product can have the best scent in the world, sick ass packaging but if it has some doodoo hold and feels like shit in the hair, I would go for another product with a not so good scent/packaging if the style I can achieve is a lot better than compared to said product.
What's going on justus...I hear what your saying the performance and hold are defenetly the most important. I like to keep each category even because I feel each trate is important but that's why I do my over all verdict to just go over everything at the end like the hold texture how it feels and looks in the hair so when I'm done you can pretty much decide which product you think is better to. Thanks for watching brotha take care...👍
Totally agree on everything you said. I love both clays but you're right...forte more of an everyday clay.. Bit more matte. Cav more of a date night clay or night out with the boys.
GQReviews & Style I know! I have to do a start-stop-start routine or I start feeling too much burn. I like the product’s performance and the tub is huge, but I might have to move my microwave into the bathroom. 😆
I have tested out Hanz de Fuko claymation and the hold is much weaker than Both Cavalier and Forte Series texture clay. Claymation’s advertisement on the hold is very inaccurate because for me and my thick hair it’s more of a medium to high hold product. Unlike Claymation , cavalier clay and the forte series texture clay do have better accuracy when it comes to the hold factor. They both do what they are supposed to do. When it comes to Forte series I feel that it doesn’t feel like a clay when scooping it out of the jar and the texture has this piecey finish and cavalier gives me way better texture which is just right. For both hold and texture I got for cavalier clay. For the pricy point you are right about Forte series on how it’s a bank for your buck product because you do get 3.4 oz.
@@GQRS thank you for uploading this a while back because I wanted to get forte series to see what it could do with my thick hair. Like I said above I would go for cavalier because the hold and texture is much more present throughout the day which are the most important factors in having a good hair product. Sorry for the bad spelling up above.
Thanks for the review! Glad you liked the Forte Clay 😎

With that said though, I'm hella glad I found this video cos I was torn between Forte and Cavalier.

forte is wax not clay :D
@@djkidii you are right about that. It doesn’t feel like what a clay should actually be.
I feel like I’m going to burn my hands trying to emulsify the Forte product. 🔥 😆
What up Shaun I thought smoke was gonna come out of my hands when I was emulsifying the product...lol
