Fun fact: in the vr version of the game, you can stick your weapons past their faceplate to simply deal the multiplied damage right away. Basically you can kill a dozer with the headshot multiplier without dealing any damage to the faceplate, turns out that the plate is a physical entity bullets have to touch and not some sort of "state" so you can really just shoot past it.

@@midnighteclipsed2738 Depends on the game, but I can confirm that once I got the hang of Beat Saber and could start surviving the faster difficulties for more than 10 seconds, it can turn into a test of endurance on the longer songs.
Rasputin (Funk Overload) is my goto when I want a workout.
Now picture this. No delay between players taking damage, minigun dozer, the dozer learned to sprint.

There's a mod that lets minigun dozers sprint. It's pretty cool.
And the dozers have shields to protect their faceplate
Their armor is replace with 15mm thick triangle plates

In my opinion Green and Killdozers are probably a lot more terrifying than the Skull, their reinfeld and Saiga 12 not only accurate but also deadly in CQ, while combatting them, keep an eye for medics especially medic dozer

as a pistol enthusiast my preferred dozer killing method is the akimbo castigos or akimbo matevers, the high damage and nice spam potential mixed with some pistol/hitman skills make them pretty awesome for taking out the chonky bois.
Honestly just go with the akimbo parabellums. They're basically the revolvers but easily max accuracy with more concealment, stability and can take the skill that gives 5 extra bullets to mag pistols. Only issue is long range sniping but then again it's trying to snipe a sniper that you can barely see with a pistol.
I just found the baby Eagle to be fine for capping faceplates in a couple rounds
@@fiyahquacker2835 I just run the revolvers because I think they're super cool and 204 damage a shot is a spicy meatball.
akimbo french revolvers with pistol skills are superb for even minigun dozers, you can one clip 2 of them if you aim right
The Bronco .44 secondary is a nice backup for my console AR Dodge build, but it can't be suppressed (because the holes and gaps all over the revolver's frame make it so that noise leaks through them, so suppressors are useless), only has six shots (I wonder why) and can be tricky to mod out for beginners who mostly don't have a lot of Cont. Coins.
Nothing compares to the Bulldozer in Payday The Heist. Takes a full mag of anything to rip off the faceplate, and can take out your entire heath pool with a single hit. No armorgating or whatever to just ignore them either, you're screwed if you get caught out by one.
Also, at 7:58, doesn't hitting the exposed spinal cord count as a headshot? Or was that just a rumor
Oh yeah...that...I had PTSD when I did the highest overkill difficulty with my friends and I will never forget the horrific face of that bulldozer when he got up close to my face. He fucked me up bad just as he said "I'm gonna fuck you up" I swear...the heist makes payday 2 a baby's game
that headless dozer tidbit actually used to be true! overkill simply moved their head hitbox down into the body, but a tiny bit could still be hit - they eventually patched this by just making the headshot multiplier 1x, giving it the same damage as a bodyshot anyway
@@saesaionji don't get me started of that fucking abomination. That safehouse nightmare heist was the goddamn worse. Not even normal difficulty helped ease my pain of those headless bulldozers ending me in seconds
@@phantomvulpe791 they show on other event heists as well, not just safehouse nightmare - though SHN can be trivialised with the right builds, even on death sentence - give this a try, akimbo parabellums + 5/7 AP pistol with bulletstorm, ammo bags, and trigger happy, then just get trigger happy with wallbangs and gunning down the titan dozers. ez pz (mostly)
At least they weren't as common as they are in 2 but yeah the plates were the real tanky chads XD
As far as I know, Bulldozer spawns limits are for each separate variant... So, for example on Mayhem you could have 2 Bulldozers, 2 Blackdozers and 2 Skulldozers at once.
I figured the Blackdozer was just a straight upgrade to the regular Bulldozers, but I guess not if they do less damage per shot... But for most cases the Skulldozer was a rather varying threat as he had less damage but no drop-off.
Black, Green, and Skull dozers live on the same spawn cap. Medics and Minigun dozers also live on the same spawn cap, albeit different from B,G,S dozers.
So its possible to have up to 6 dozers but both separate spawn caps cannot go over 3 on DS difficulty.

Was hoping to get some info on their attack and aggro rates. Usually I notice a 2 second window of being targetted by an average green dozer before it actually pulls the trigger, not including its reload. I also notice they tend to shoot immediately if set on fire
I never heard of "burst" damage referred as "spike" damage, but i mean if you put the dmg instances on a graph it makes sense
Fun fact: The model for the Bulldozer was based off a real life Bomb Suit, developed to be able to take a full plastic bomb to the face, landmine, or grenade.

The bomb suit is more for preserving your shrapnel and shock filled corpse
It’s ironic that the bomb suit the dozers where, the thing meant to reduce the impacts of bombs, would give them a explosive damage modifier.
I get the fact that bullets would go through the armor, Bomb suits aren’t the same as steel plates but the extra damage seems to be a balance change.
In reality only their helmets would prove meaninful protection against bullets, the EOD 9 suits they wear are designed solely to protect against shock and shrapenal
@@halfgecko3202 I know the main armor would do nothing against bullets. It’s just that the Dozers get increased damage from explosives instead of bullets.
He's not weak to explosives he's resistant to bullets
stoic can get more health back from a green dozer than they deal. I'm not entirely sure but it seems that the DoT you take as stoic can be higher than your current health pool so ill sometimes be at less than 25% from a green dozer and heal to 50% or 75%
Having faced all dozer types: the black dozer was the least problematic one
One thing you could have mentioned is the fact, that headshot skills still activate by headless dozer. You just don't do any extra damage.
As someone who’s scared of dozers, when I’m in the nightmare levels where headless dozers, I run a rocket launcher, flamethrower and ammo bags

I remember playing Payday 2 for the first time I thought they were trying to make a realistic heist simulator but as I started watching videos and the community and stuff I realized it's more of arcade game than simulator

In recent updates overkill patched the fact that minigun dozers and medic dozers didn't count towards those special's spawn cap so now they do, medic dozers counting for both types of spawn caps
As a new Payday player I quite enjoyed this video and would like to see more talking about the special units of Payday 2 though I'm unsure if there's many variants for the others.
mostly just the dozer but there is misinfo around for Tazers and Cloakers have a special phase in Loud dedicated to them
That note on shotguns at the end clarified why my IZHMA suddenly became a much better Dozer Mower when I switched it onto AP Slugs. Here I thought it was the armor piercing but nah, it's that the bigger bullet is better at hitting a visor I guess. S'long as the Dozer dies.

Minigun dozers actually be threatening challenge (impossible)
Then you've never gotten corner fucked with 2 of them being spawned at once then almost immediately another one plus a Medic Dozer spawning in, cause their spawn mechanics dictate Dozers gotta spawn in pairs, but fail to take in the fact that Medic and Minigun Dozers don't attribute to the cap, meaning as long as the amount of Green/Black/Skull/Zeal Dozers on the map is less than 3, the game will just keep spawning Dozers.
@@deeplyt00ting I’ve had 5+ at once before, but considering their damage and accuracy, they never pose a challenge. I don’t think I’ve ever died to a minigun aside from it being on purpose.
@@deeplyt00ting buddy just use a critical build with the akimbo parabellum pistols. Literally a couple seconds of firing and the problem is gone. I've played at least 6027hrs I'd know.

I really have a hard time understanding how guard pathfinding works on stealth. Do they follow the player or maybe they try to fill the map as much possible by spreading across it. Could you do a video to explain this? i dont find that many infos on the topic

One little thing to notice, dozers can be stun with feedback. It's specially noticable with hacker
They work like this: Shoot 2 mags into face, Get 1 tapped by green shotgun guy, Listen to that bop “Hard Times”

Concept idea for Payday 3 dozer:
A dozer variant that is immune to all types of explosives or small arms fire to the body plates, making it more accurate to how bomb armor should work. The headshot multiplier should be higher to balance how difficult it would be to kill it. This variant would be have a health pool much like a medic dozer, but maybe carry an explosive weapon, like a grenade launcher. It would first be found in the death wish difficulty as a leading assault unit that rushes all the time. Just a concept but would be really cool to see.
I mean it's pretty much impossible to kill a bulldozer on max difficulty with body shots

6:50 to 7:00 here's a thing about the medic Dozer they prefer to revive other special units than other dozers

8:28 i don't think surefire aced can penetrate those plates it's the same as the thing that shields wield you defiy need an armor penetrating weapon / rounds
So I’ve actually been trying to make a dsod build with the pronghorn that’s not the same gimmick that everyone uses wirh it which is the two snipers
With my current build I just straight up whip out the minigun and mag dump on the faceplate.
its really weird that the dozers take extra damage fom explosives, especially if you consider that they are wearing EOD suits, which are supposed to STOP explosives
The shockwave would still instantly kill its wearer tho. The EOD suit's purpose is so that there would STILL be a body to bury in case the bomb defusers failed.

Point blank shotguns + a good slug to the face make all the difference.

So one thing I've been wondering that you didnt mention is do minigun dozers spawn in pairs like hunters from halo? I feel like every time I see one there is one more nearby.
that's just Dozers in general, all dozers like spawning paired up
Medic and Minigun Dozers especially do not count towards the total Dozers count. Which means, you could have 3 regular Dozers which is the normal limit, but then extra Medic or Minigun dozers can spawn, sometimes up to 3 Minigun Dozers and two Medic Dozers behind. DSOD is fucking insanity. I use The Fixes mod which fixes this dumb oversight.
Greendozers are a challenge but I find that with enough armour, I can fire back with about 6 times the bullets.
They may be a wall with a shotty, but I am a wall with a minigun

I have a stupid yet fun way of dealing with dozers on Very hard and Overkill difficulty, I run a loud build with the Micro Minigun (Because im to broke to afford the overkill dlc pack) And just charge at the dozer while aiming at his head to maximise the damage
(If its not already clear im very new to the game)

The only reason why i watches this was to get ideas on what weapons work for my dodge build as I've tried a lot of weapons for my dodge build but none of them have beat the lions roar but the thing is I want more concealment since I've been able to get down to 12 with the lions roar but i want less than 12 so this gave me an idea on what i could use
Bronco packs a solid punch at 33 concealment at the cost of accuracy and stability, especially if you invest in Trigger Happy; Bernetti 9 and Gruber cap out at 34 with a silencer but require the 15 extra damage from Gun Nut iirc in order for them to not feel like you're throwing a packet of squishy toads at the cops every time you pull the trigger
get the gecko AR, its essentially a balanced lions roar with more conceal potential, I could reach 4 conceal with the 5/7 and some DLCs attachments meanwhile best I could do with lion's roar with the 5/7 was 6 conceal
@@stijnvanlankveld9893 the parabellums do the same but with full accuracy and decent stability with about 30 concealment but can get 32 with upto 92 concealment and they can take the skill that gives 5 extra in the mag.
Some recommendations could be the Akimbo automatic pistols like the Strykrs or the akimbo smgs.
They only really need low blow aced and trigger happy basic if you are running pistols.
They're all super powerful, concealed and modable. Only issue is that you can't hold the fire button unless you want to run out of ammo... then again ammo bags :>

I was curious about the white dot/crosshair/reticle that you can see quite frequently in your videos, I’m guessing it’s not a mod since you’ve used it in your speedrun/challenge videos before but I hope ya don’t mind me asking what exactly it is? I’d love to use it myself to help with my hip-firing but I’m not sure if it’s built into PAYDAY 2 itself, thank you!
There is an accessibility dot in the options. On the options menu, there should be a menu called accessibility or something similar. There you can turn on the dot and resize it.

Tbh on maps where they're a problem I try to use javelins and to keep two in my pocket specifically for taking off their faceplate.

I once got into a minigun fight with a minigun dozer and only won because he refused to look at me but went down because I had exhausted 500 rounds and a few seconds of bulletstorm

I've had 5 dozers spawn at once. Legit 10 minutes ago and I just rage quit. 2 miniguns, and 2 black and gray looking ones.
I honestly thiughbobly 2 can spawn at 1 time, regardless of type.

The only reason I dont generally play on DW or higher is because im tired of having 4 minigun dozers spawn in the first wave of cops.

Well outside of No Mercy solos, they aren't too bad. Often it just means you gotta bring high dps weapons like an assault rifle with low blow aced or get things like unseen strike to help.

It's the hardest for a reason and so it just forces you to know about killing a lot, using cover and knowing the map.
I know it's not very effective, but I love stuffing my shotgun (primarily the Steakout) in their face and spraying.

The suit of bulldozers are made to withstand explosions in a certain radius, not made to be bulletproof since their job is to eliminate Explosives hence their name is called EOD (Explosive Ordinance Disposal) their suit isn't really made for combat
nor is the two piece suit
And they’re made to to withstand explosions only in front of them, since it’s not common to defuse a bomb with your arms behind your back
@@NICK-a actually the two pice suit the payday gang uses is meant for combat just that most of its armor is shedded in favor of sneaking and speed but there’s still some armor plates in that suit.

Unless you are using the injector to blow yourself up or not using the invincibility for doing objectives or killing, then you are doing so correctly.

Could you do a safe house nightmare tutorial? I just tried it for the first time in years yesterday and was completely humbled by about 10 dozers backing me into a corner without any ammo.
if you have Overkill PAck DLC, just shoot them with an RPG. They have 12k hp, while RPG (well, it actually called HRL 7 in the game) does 12,5k, so you one-shot them most of the time. Because of RPG, it is a good idea to invest in ammo bags, bulletstorm and fully loaded basic. I think you theoretically can use other weapons, but this is the most effective one
if you don't have this DLC, then you can try to use a free bow with crits. 2k basic damage, not sure how much it will deal with crit, but still better than nothing
I don't really recommend playing this map with bots, because you will have 4 player spawns and bots kinda suck in killing titandozers
as for your armor/non armor setup - I tend to use ICTV and either Muscle or Kingpin - works good enough even on Death Sentence. I won't really recommend using dodge decks or hp decks which can't passively regenerate health, because usually all your regen comes from Hostage Taker. jokers are not an option, civillians don't always spawn. you also can try to use, for example akimbo 100 damage smg's wih berserker and crits, but then bulletsormm ace is almost mandatory

i came up with a payday challange but i cant finishit due to a fatal error called "my pc cant run payday" the challange is

As someone who's used to Overkill and really can't handle Mayhem or above reliably, am I wrong for finding LMG Dozers to be intimidating AF? Like, they can move like Green or Black Dozers but can beam you like The SWAT Turret.
Gotta start to learn to always use cover on mayhem up if you struggle with skulldozers. You should never have to be in a dps race with one if you’re playing well
@@benebersole3038 Yeah, I honestly find the easiest way to deal with them is to simply let them proc my Swan Song Aced and run at them with The Versteckt, at least that secures a kill on them. XD
@@zamnplayerd8802 typically you never want to intentionally go down just to deal with one enemy, but if your team is in a bad spot and being swarmed, then it might help.
@@zamnplayerd8802 try using a stoic crit build with the akimbo parabellums. 1 shot for each part of the face plate and 1 or 2 shots worth of headshot dmg and they'll go down real quick and you can still have 9 shots worth left in the mag if not 8.
You essentially want to emphasise your damage and survival on higher difficulties. After that, its just learning on the cover spots.
Bulldozers are actually pretty easy to kill, especially with automatics like Assault rifles, akimbo weapons, smgs, etc.
They all need low blow aced to kill quickly and once you build for it, bulldozers can go down quite easily.
