@@WalmartRich yes!!! He will be the first group to go through it here in Indiana. He has been a yard driver for 27 years and this year he will be with the company for 30 years. He will be out of Greencastle where he started out with Walmart.

Regional grocery drivers normally stay within 250 miles. GM drivers often go further but stay within a state or two. Start times are normally 5am to 12pm. I hear now they can be evening or morning. You can ask the recruiter about positions when they call because the change rapidly

And can transfer if a local route opens up in another state? And do you know what the hours are usually for local drivers? Thanks
Michael-IT really depends on what region you are in. For us in the West, we are going as far as 700-800 miles away from our domiciled DC. Good thing is - they always work us back for our go home day.

Walmart does not do full otr. The only non regional is teams from Washington to Alaska. Florida is the hardest state to get in. I am hearing maybe some opening in Feb
We hired a lot in Florida over the last 3 years. I was in a depart group meeting this morning and I asked about this. I was told we were at capacity. I run out of 6820- Brooksville, FL.

I would not know why. And I don't have any info on that. Your manager might know or HR manager? Let me know if you find out.
Rich didn't hear you mention Taylor,Pa. home daily there don't tell me they don't have anymore openings also what is pay scale for home daily drivers
I'll have to look into this. I think drivers get the same pay for activities and miles, just no layover.
