Hi guys, You guys rock. Everything looks so well-balanced, fresh and delish. Also, it’s very nice of the sushi chef to give you guys an extra plate on the house. Hospitality like that goes a long way, and it’s fairly common in Japan, I think. The only question I have, if I may, is this. Ooh, thank you! Yes the sushi chef was so kind, and you are right, that type of hospitality seems to be very common here. As for our kitchen in Canada...honestly it's pretty small as well! 😥 although the appliances and cupboards are triple the size so we are looking forward to that!

Not sure if you remember us, but I'm a JET living in Kibi (maybe 20 mins from Takahashi?) with my partner, and we met on the plane ride to Okayama from Tokyo last year! I think we saw you guys in the city once, but we were on our way to a doctor's appointment (literally following a nurse cause we got lost lol) so we couldn't really stop by to say hello. I just binge-watched all your vids - I'm all caught up now! Fellow Canadian here. I miss Japan so much. Last time I was there was Jan. 2020, right before the world shut down. If there was a silver lining to the pandemic with regard to Japan, I would say that it's an optimal time for visiting and sightseeing (for residents) since it remains closed to tourists. All the places you've been visiting and enjoying would normally be overrun with tourists. Enjoy it while you can and thank you for sharing it with those of us who can't be there!
That is an amazing point! We've gotten so used to places being less crowded, it's easy to forget that it is not the normal. Heres to hoping you are able to return soon and resume your own adventure 🍻😊
