Electric fireplaces, helmet padding, asbestos mitts to change barrels, asbestos in gas mask filters. Just... ASBESTOS ALL THE THINGS. At the time it was a brilliant fireproofing material.
VL turbo is going to be a sweet project. Looking for to the Secret Factory package all the way from Osaka. And am gonna have to drop by the restaurant when I get down there.

To the Americans that don't know what a VL turbo is, it's basically a Aussie family sedan from the late 80s with a Nissan RB30DET engine. People down here mod them hard, they're light-ish 3.0L Turbo. It's common to see RB25/26 heads with the RB30 bottom end and big single turbos running well under 10sec 1/4 mile. Peace out! 👊

Not all the US is crap for minimum wage. Washington state does NOT allow you to count tips against minimum wage. State minimum wage is $11.50 with 15$ p/h in some cities. That being said I still tip 20% I figure it means more to the employee than me.

I love what you are doing with the z and you guys were built off cheap driveway mods so I think that this approach to the z is a much better reflection of your origins than dropping a bunch of cash to get an original car 2. Thank you for clarifying the asbestos situation. We shut down asbestos mines in Canada, finally, in 2011. I flew over the town of Asbestos, which feature a now-defunct asbestos mine. It's a nasty mineral to deal with and I'm glad we're trying to look after people's health. Dying to get a car is usually (?) not worth it! :)

Everybody on here complaining about the rb26 engine swap saying that “why didn’t they put a 2jz in?” Or “why would you ruin a classic jdm car like that!?”it’s Marty and Moogs project so they can do whatever the fuck they want even if that meant putting a LS1 in or even a Barra. What’s more concerning is the fact that everyone is focusing on this build and has seemed to forgotten that Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that, he just went into Harry's, and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS. And a Motec exhaust.
They are mainly butt hurt because they are not keeping the car standard, I'm glad they are not. There are plenty out there in stock form, I would prefer this one myself, retro modded cars are awesome. This will be the best 240Z ever once finished. I hope they plan on upgrading the brakes and suspension too, I'm sure they will.

peter lustig it's more about keeping the standard engine and gearbox that annoys them most, they know what the channel is about. If the stock car was turned it can then easily be put back to standard spec.

We don't have obligatory tips in Canada because we have such good wages. But tipping isn't uncommon to see. Come to Canada and check out our car seen. It's thriving these days. Up there with New Zealand in terms of a thriving car scene. Few rules and restrictions and a friendly seen.

Thank you for clarifying the asbestos situation. We shut down asbestos mines in Canada, finally, in 2011. I flew over the town of Asbestos, which feature a now-defunct asbestos mine. It's a nasty mineral to deal with and I'm glad we're trying to look after people's health. Dying to get a car is usually (?) not worth it! :)

YES Please come to Canada! I live on Vancouver Island, the weather is great for 45 minutes a day maybe once a week, we have a few racetracks, mostly drag strips, but it is beautiful, the people are great and some of us absolutely love cars. We would love to have you, come on over to Canada, eh.

What’s more concerning is the fact that everyone is focusing on this build and has seemed to forgotten that Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that, he just went into Harry's, and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS. And a Motec exhaust.

They are mainly butt hurt because they are not keeping the car standard, I'm glad they are not. There are plenty out there in stock form, I would prefer this one myself, retro modded cars are awesome.
This will be the best 240Z ever once finished. I hope they plan on upgrading the brakes and suspension too, I'm sure they will.

peter lustig it's more about keeping the standard engine and gearbox that annoys them most, they know what the channel is about. If the stock car was turned it can then easily be put back to standard spec.
Why would u keep it stock cars are all about improvement the car would be boring if they just left it stuck and let's be real it's never going back to original u would have to be whacked in the head to remove the RB

We do not tip in Canada as much as people in the United States... but we do still have to tip at restaurants.
It's not mandatory for us in Canada, it is however in the States. I believe you can actually be taken to court in the States for not tipping.
Its the states you can be taken to court for looking at someone wrong lol.
We don't have obligatory tips in Canada because we have such good wages. But tipping isn't uncommon to see.
Come to Canada and check out our car seen. It's thriving these days. Up there with New Zealand in terms of a thriving car scene. Few rules and restrictions and a friendly seen.

JackstandJohnny compared to the US our wages are easier to live on. This wasn't a post to debate it was to state that Canadians don't tend to tip because we don't have to.
I haven’t even finished watching the episode yet but I’m just too excited about Moog saying “a VL Turbo has to happen one day”. The VL is like my dirty secret, I’ve always loved them and wanted to build one, even if it sounds like a turkey. I’ve done the XR6 Turbo, now to do the VL and I can die happy.
Harry has the engines and is holding out on Johnny tran! Go get him with 40 or 50 weight and he will tell you where the warehouse is.
