If you want to save yourself the trouble of melting crayons or you do not have any leftover bits of candles, Dollar Tree sells colored wax candles in glass jars. They melt great on a tray in the oven at 250° for about 15 minutes or so. Then you can use whatever cheap containers or pie plates you have on hand to do the dipping. A bonus to this method would be you get a free Wick with every jar you purchase! You can then make your own candles in whatever containers you would like- - makes a great gift idea.
These are GREAT!! LUV each Candles craft... especially the Dipped Color Candles!! 😀 I luv the excitement in the blond lady's voice when she dipped the big white candle into the green wax!! 🤣👍👍💯🎉🎉🎉🎉
Just curious ... paper is, of course, flammable. What happens to the paper napkin "coating" as the taper candle begins to burn down? Is this a potential fire hazard? Will it be a "controlled burn" but leave the scent of burning paper to affect your dinner or party? 🌿
I love the fast easy way to color coordinate white candles into decor accents! And if you have kids or grandkids who doesn't have crayons lying around? To use them to tint melted wax is genius! Thank you!
Thank you for the tip on twisting the candles. They turned out so neat! I definitely want to give it a try. Plus using a napkin and the iron to transform a candle to your decor. Awesome.
candles are a fire hazard in general and need to be handled with care. adding paper to the mix is only making and already potentially dangerous situation even more dangerous. And is quite frankly just plain stupid. the only time anyone should even contemplate doing this to a candle is if they DON'T plan on ever lighhting it and only want it for a home decor item. and in that case i would simply spend the extra $$$ on a good candle. that will hold up over time.
loved the dipping of the candles and twisting…… but aren’t the napkins flammable and will those candles tipped over once they are down to a certain size i would also think some of that would be toxic…..thanks for sharing 👍🏽😉
ok let's NOT do either the paper rolling of the candle or the painting of a candle. besides the added fire hazards the paper adds, the fumes it adds is toxic as all get out. the candle dipping. is a cute idea, but be careful! paraffin wax can cause eye and respitory irritations for people that are sesitive to it. so if you've never worked with it and don't burn paraffin candles lot be aware of this. Also if you have pets just keep in mind that paraffin is a petroleum based product. and if you're using a scented candle. the cheaper it is the more likely it is that the manufacturers have used a contaminated oil or a synthetic fragrance, which isn't good for your pets.
I addition to the potential safety hazards of burning napkins and paint, I would not burn most of these because fumes from paraffin (candles and crayons) are toxic to pets, as are many essential oils used to scent them.
i agree with the 1st part. However, you're not quite being completely forth coming withyour information concerning paraffin and scented candles. paraffin is a petroleum based product. so when it burns, it creates soot. other candles, such as bees wax, palm wax, & soy wax also create soot, but much less. but as long as you aren't lighting your candle and letting it burn 24/7 and sitting your pet near them the whole time, it will be ok. just keep in mind that they do have a high smell sensitivity than a human and it may iritate it. as far as scented candles. Mmmm, well you are right and wrong on the essential oils. SOME essential oils toxic to pets, just as some foods we eat are toxic to our animals as well. i love onions and chocolate, i'm not about to stop eating them and keeping them in my home, but they are toxic to my fur baby. so i just make sure he doesn't get into them. the same goes for the essential oils. i research what oils are toxic for my baby and which ones aren't. what you're referring to is the volitile organic compounds (VOC)found in scented candles. which include things like benzine and even formaldahyde which are carcenogenics. however, again research has found that unless your sitting your fur baby in front of the massive candle and making them breathe it in 24/7 even over a long period of time that the quantities of these items is so low that they won't cause any health issues. what you have to keep in mind of is the disreputable manufacturer ( usually the makers of the inexpensive candles for places like dollar stores) they will use contaminated oil for the paraffin or synthetic scents. you really do get what you pay for.
How can you think of burning the napkin wrapped candle without it setting fire?? It's one thing if you don't light- that I can understand, but even if you dip the wrapped candle in a thin layer of melted wax to seal it your still burning paper- and the same goes for acrylic paint! 😳🤔🙄
Those candles aren't tapered? They're the same diameter all the way up. Surely tapered candles would be thinner at the top, that is, tapered, as the name suggests.
I tried the napkin hack it is a disaster, the napkin burns! I was digilent because I taught it was going to burn and it did the paper soaks in the melted wax and there goes a much bigger flame. Not a good idea! It looks good but don't burn it too dangerous.
Napkins for candles 🕯?!? You lit it & I literally thought what is wrong with you?!? Are you trying to set peoples house on fire for the holidays!?! 🤦🏻♀️ As I waited to see what you did with dollar store candles 🙃 was waiting for common sense to kick in😶 didn’t happen! WTH!!! My brother is a retired fireman! This video should be shown what NOT to DO!!! Absolutely absurd & just made my brain hurt watching🥺
YIKES! Dangerous! It's only a few minutes before that PAPER wrapped around the candle catches on FIRE! And then you have a fire that is Out Of Control! WORST IDEA EVER!

I was thinking the same thing and I have added essential oils to mine also to give them a little something extra when giving as gifts. 🙂
Fantastic idea. Thank you.
Good idea thanks.💜
using crayons opens up a world of color possibilies. love, love this process.
The twisted candles look awful.
I love the candle dipping! They turned out awesome!
I looove Cafe Du Monde 💕💕
candles came out great
Thank you

I want to know too
I wonder the same. I thought of trying it just to see what happens.
@@crystalparker2542 report back lol
I don’t recommend burning the first example…def a fire hazard
I love the fast easy way to color coordinate white candles into decor accents! And if you have kids or grandkids who doesn't have crayons lying around? To use them to tint melted wax is genius! Thank you!
The dipped candles are cute. Thanks for sharing!
Candle dipping is a great idea. Easy to follow instructions. Thank you!
You can is from Cafe Du Monde..I love that place..NOLA is so much fun..great candle ideas..
I love the twisted candles!!
I love the candle dipping that was beautiful!
All 3 were great ideas for a different look on your candles. My favorite was probably the napkin trick! 🕯🕎🕯
What happens to that paper napkin as the candle burns down?
Thank you for the tip on twisting the candles. They turned out so neat! I definitely want to give it a try. Plus using a napkin and the iron to transform a candle to your decor. Awesome.

I loved all the projects, and I loved the way she was having so much fun dipping those candles. I think I will try that one. Thanks.
Like the candle with color crayons
Am truly impressed with this candle hack
You got my attention when you pulled up that yellow Cafe Du Monde coffee can!
Me too! Kenner here.

This concerns me because tissue paper is flammable and I would think acrylic paint is also and produces a smell too?
Amiga me encanta todo lo que haces, eres genial tus ideas son maravillosas. Saludos cariñosos desde CHILE 🇨🇱❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Does the paper napkin burn when the flame reaches it? Does the acrylic paint burn?
Yes, they burn
Love making candles. I started this when I was 13 which was a long time ago.
I love those twisted candles!
I'd be afraid to use the candles because of paper and paint. Both are flammable. I'd be afraid of sparks and fire
Fabulous idea hope to see more
I definitely love this ideas now I can match my candles with my decorations 👍👍👍👍👍
Wow these idea are amazing Thankyou so much for sharing your talent xx
I am wondering though, with the painted candles, isn't that toxic, when lit up?
definitely toxic. acrylic paint is NOT supposed to be set on fire!!!
These can be just used for looks:')
Exactly my first thought
Love, love, love this! Thank you! ☮💖
Ingenious hack indeed!
Thanks for all the tips.

Yes but as the candle burns the paper wont catch on fire ?
Luv this idea thanks much.💚
Very unique ideas.
FYI. Crayons will clog the wick and continually make the flame go out if you make solid candles with them as an additive for color.
Cool idea!

Cafe du Monde! My parents used to drink that! NOLA flashback!
I don't know about burning paint
Great ideas 👍
I think that's a fire waiting to happen
Look at you with a CDM coffee can! That’s good coffee!
This twist was a disaster. LOL 😆 🤣 they just kept breaking!

They are cute
Is it safe to burn candles that have been covered in napkins or painted?
Thanks so much!
Cut napkin to the circumference of your candle. Not the diameter
Very very nice ideas thank you for sharing 🧡😍
Good ideas
Thanks
Does not flame and paper = fire????
Your neighbors will comment on how lovely your napkin wrapped candles were, before they burst into flames.
The ones that are painted…is it safe to burn those?!
Thats interesting
Hi my friend
🤗 Pomysł doskonały👍
Can i do this with breeswax candles pls?
Why ruin them?
Those candles aren't tapered? They're the same diameter all the way up. Surely tapered candles would be thinner at the top, that is, tapered, as the name suggests.
My sister and her girlfriend did the twisted candles by heating them in the j eye knees.

The paper idea is ridiculously dangerous, don't do it.
Paint?mus you not speciale?on water base?because wen candle put on? Fire!
Unfortunately I am not inspired , to me it’s more of a fire safety hazard, then getting pretty candles for less
YIKES! Dangerous!
It's only a few minutes before that PAPER wrapped around the candle catches on FIRE!
And then you have a fire that is Out Of Control!
WORST IDEA EVER!
Crayons do not belong in candles. Ask any professional candle maker. Neither does acrylic paint
That is not safe... do not do that!
don't care anything about. there is better than this one.
Pff lady with melthing candle to match talk.
