  • Join me for a trip from Belfast City Airport to London City Airport on BA CityFlyer's Embraer E190.
Starting off with a walkthrough of Belfast City Airport then to the Gate, boarding the BA CityFlyer E190, pushback followed by engine start and taxi to RWY22.
We'll depart RWY22, head out over Belfast, then over the Irish Sea overhead Liverpool, head South East over Colchester, down past Southend-On-Sea & The Dartford Bridge before making our approach to LCY's RWY09 - right over London with some fantastic views en route. We'll pass over The Shard, London Bridge, Canary Wharf and the O2 following the Thames down to RWY09.
I hope you enjoy this video, a lot of work has been done on the Post Production this time to give a real professional feel to it!

I’ve been here once going to Liverpool, for my birthday last month. I wish to come back.

I loved Belfast City Airport. I flew a Lufthansa Regional Embraer 190 in from Frankfurt. It’s a cute little airport, while Frankfurt is horribly enormous. We were the only jet on the tarmac when I got there, and left (just a few Aer Lingus ATR 72 turboprops - lousy aircraft by the way, at least in icing conditions). I’m sure there are many smaller jets that fly there, but none where there when I was there. Again I loved the George Best Belfast Airport.

It's ATR72's all the way at Belfast City Airport haha! Aer Lingus Regional being one of the biggest operators there. I believe there is 5 possibly 6 or 7 of them stationed at BHD. Other aircraft we get regularly are A320 / A319 from EasyJet and British Airways. Very occasionally BA will operate an A321Neo / A321Ceo but not very often. E190 / E175 from KLM almost daily and E190 For BA City Flyer / Lufthansa. How did you find the short runway?

@@aviation_dad All I saw were the Aer Lingus ATR 72s when I arrived and left Belfast City Airport. They do seem to have a few parked there all the time. I knew Easyjet and BA flies in there, (I saw there check in desks) but none were there when I was there. I didn’t notice the shorter runway but the arrivals/customs area was the smallest I’d ever seen. But, I liked the small town feel of the airport. It’s a really sort of charming. I even found a pedestrian walkover bridge to cross over that huge dual carriage motorway (wow) that divides the airport from the southern part of the City, because without it you’re stuck, unless you take a taxi. But, I had a great time there. Can’t wait to go back! Northern Ireland is one of my favorite places.

Yes, but I think this was due to the fact I had checked luggage.
