What stormy landing?
Awesome!
Great video... new sub here! 👍
Nicely captured! 👍
Awesome videos!
Thanks Steph! Really glad to hear you like them 😊
A normal landing
It was definitely bumpy I can tell you from being on it! 💨💨
BRITISH-AIRWAYS =SAFETY FIRST !!! THAT'S ALL WHAT I'VE GOT TO SAY CHEERS !!!!
Seemed like a great landing tbh
Absolutely Alex, pilot nailed the landing, bumpy descent but perfect landing! If memory serves me correctly the flight that was landing before us did a go around!
where was the bumpy bits
There was quite a few, just watch the wing shaking and the ailerons working hard!
@@aviation_dad The wings shaking at every landing which i had, this normal
I was on that plane
طيران بريطانيا العظمي ❤❤❤
I really enjoyed this. The best I can get to this realism currently, is via the use of MSFS2020 haha. I so wish I had the money to be able to come along with you so we both enjoy aviation in it's full glory. What is your fav civil aircraft ?
It shows you just how amazing the graphics have got in Flight Sim now doesn’t it haha! Favourite aircraft is 777-300 - amazing sound from the engines! How about you?
Can you get up there for free?
Yes, but it’s recommended to buy something in the restaurant / bar.
@@aviation_dad Ok thanks :)
@@aviation_dad Can you access the other bit where BJTV goes? Where you can see touchdowns etc
@CPlanespotting I think that is nearer to the Thistle Hotel if I’m not mistaken :)
Hi. Do they ask for passport even if its domestic flight?
Yes I always carry ID with me - doesn’t haven’t to be a passport as it is within the common travel area but something with your full name and has an expiry date is required.
Take from the BA Website: You do not require a passport to travel within the UK, but you will need to carry one type of photographic ID when travelling with us. Examples include: Valid passport Valid driving licence, either provisional or full Valid EU national identity card Valid armed forces identity card Valid police warrant card or badge
Hi. Do they still ask for passport if you're flying from Belfast to London Heathrow? thanks

cant, t hear the "Heavy" callsign here, I guess it's only used in the US 🤔
In the UK at least it often depends on the traffic around the aircraft, if the separation is great than we don't need to end the call sign with heavy ( I think)
We do use the term ‘Heavy’ within the UK too :)
Just cloudy
Windy too 💨
Wow. Lovely England and a feather-soft landing!
👎
👍🏼
Where abouts is this taken ?
A Gates at LHR T5.
I prefer the OG Pokémon 747
Yes the 747 Pokémon livery is also really good, was great to see this 777 in person though!
Good Vidioes
Thank you much appreciated! Thanks for watching.

That’s one beautiful landing no storm Was cloudy u must say 😊. Thanks for sharing
BA is the safest airline on earth 🌎
Cool! Where is this?
This is at the crash gate opposite Decathlon at Holywood Exchange!
@@aviation_dad Thank you!
My spot for 09L is the mound of the slip road from the M25, just before it gets to the A3044. Myrtle for 27L and Huckerby's Meadows for 27R.
Perfect 👌 Huckerby’s Meadow is a new one for me, I’ve never heard of it! I’ve 2 trips to LHR booked for February so I will it out then, thanks!
Is that stormy ?
The fun begins at 05:05 haha :) the iPhone 13 Pro which this was filmed on has excellent stabilisation which helps but you can see from the wing flex and aileron movements it was indeed a bumpy and turbulent descent!
8:43 - Concorde parked up. Is there something BA needs to tell us?
Had to show travel with Irish passport.
Yes I can confirm that’s correct ☺️
Brilliant capture 😍👏✈
It always depends on Heathrow’s operations.
Absolutely! If it’s Easterlies this one is personally my favourite ❤️
Agreed
Great views over London. Thanks for sharing your fab video.
Good clear video, ultra smooth landing
If you don't mind me asking, which audio card are you using and how did you get it connected from your scanner to the MBP/audio card? Great recording btw
What a beautifully smooth landing.
Thanks for posting! Can we also appreciate the amazing job the iPhone does in image stabilisation here. Can see from the window frame how the camera itself is bouncing around, yet the image through the window is rock steady.
Perfectly normal
Except the wind 💨
@@aviation_dad keep your digestive issues out of this
@@davideg1001dg hahahaha! It wasn’t mine, it was the person sat next to me 🤣🤣💨💨
How can this be seat 4A? The camera person is clearly sitting on the right side of the aircraft. Wouldn’t that be 4F?
Well spotted Gerard! Typo on my part! I flew back later that day in 4A hence the confusion haha! I will update now. Thank you :)
@@aviation_dad You’re welcome! Gerarda
I love arrivals with clouds, thanks for this one!
i love watching planes but not to happy in one , them engines are only held on by 4 pot rivets and a tube of pound land glue
Brilliant. Very well done. Just love planes.
Great views of Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Holland Park, the northern tip of Kew, and Osterley Park!
how did you know it was TOGA not flex thrust?..
As mentioned on the description I was lucky enough to catch up with the captain after the flight! I wanted to ask him about the flight given it was so stormy and we're talking 50+ mph winds and very heavy rain. He confirmed TOGA take off for maximum thrust to get up as quickly as possible :)
Amazing video, just one thing. I know TOGA is the thrust setting for Takeoff/Go-Around but a lot of people think TOGA means Go Around so they think this is a go around, so maybe you could change it to Takeoff as some people will get mistaken
@eggsAviation, well pointed out! Changed the title to update :) thank you.
No problem!
IAE engine
I wish be pilot
Excellent vid though could do without the music but that’s just a personal view. I remember Belfast city airport when it was just Nisssn huts lol… if you ever wanted to land/take off from an aircraft carrier then Belfast City ( George Best ) airport is the nearest thing to one, a very short runway with water at each end, landing especially is a “experience”. The largest aircraft which can land there now is the A321. But I have seen B757 aircraft land there but their performance is far superior to most other commercial aircraft
Thanks David - always like to hear peoples views on how to improve the channel, previously it was suggested that there was no music on the videos which it was suggested to add some in to the videos - maybe a little too much on this one haha! I can remember City Airport before the refurb and renaming to GBBCA, when it was only Flybe (the first one) Dash 8's, Bae 146's and BMI A320/A321's! This particular take off was probably the most powerful I've ever felt departing from BHD. Rotation only look about 1/3 of the runway! Those IAE engines are impressive at full pelt!
Love it!, I can get Heathrow Director (120.4) from my home in Birmingham which is pretty cool, what antenna do you/did you use?
I actually recorded this when I stayed at a hotel near LHR. It was a Uniden 75XLT with the rubber duck antenna with an audio feed into my laptop if I remember correctly! Impressive you can pick it up the whole way in Brum though! Can you get 2 way both Pilot and Controller?
@@aviation_dad Oooo nice!, I think i may know what hotel you are on about, been there a few times myself!. Yeah with my antenna I can get director, and a VERY faint tower on a good day haha!
