Up north is finally on fire! And yes. That’s exactly what I fish until the lake is over pull then I’ll fish the flooded willow trees and bushes on points. Points are you best friend on Rayburn.

Thanks bud! I love my trap! Trap rod is a 7'2 mag medium heavy by CastAway Rods and reel is a Lew's Super Duty 8:0.1 gear ratio. On my A-Rig I'm throwing a 7'6 Extreme Deep Diver rod by CastAway and I have the Lew's Super Duty Wide Spool in a 6:4.1 gear ratio.
Thanks bud! I use the Yum Flash Mob Jr. BUY with the blades. If you buy one without the blades you might as well hang it from your rearview mirror because they don't catch fish. At least for me they don't. And use jig heads with a screw lock head. It will save you tons of $$$$ by not wearing out swimbaits.
Perfect, I see those ones everywhere so I will grab some. Will grab some screw lock heads as well. Some of these are pretty pricey so trying not to spend a fortune just to try different brands and blade vs no blades. Appreciate the help/tips bud, thank you and god bless!

And as far as good places I had some recent trips to Caney and Veach. I caught them pretty good! I fish basically 10’ and less for the most part. Most of the time I’m looking at the bottom. I fish very shallow.

What size of trap you use ?
In this video I was throwing a 3/4oz Knockin Trap made by Bill Lewis Lures. But I throw everything from a 1/8oz to a 1oz
