    I think this is pretty good advice. Though to be honest, I think some of it could also apply to the other side as well. Even though I'm a woman I would also be curious to hear your advice to men wanting to make a good impression on women.

    I think one of the most important things for a woman to do around a man she is interested is PUT YOUR PHONE AWAY.
    This is all such beautiful advice and spot on. I would just add on also to your thoughts about ‘look good’, is to make it obvious that you have good habits when it comes to your health and appearance that will last in the long term. Men don’t want high maintenance, but they want reassurance that you are not going to let yourself go after you get comfortable, or have babies. It matters.

      As a 1982 millennial guy the biggest issue I have is constantly paying the price for her ex's behavior.
      "My ex cheated on me so you can't have female friends."
      or
      "my ex would yell at me when we argued so I won't engage in disagreements."
      Or
      "my ex belittled me so I take everything as an insult."

    This advice could work in multiple settings, not just going out on a date. If you are in the big city, working with CEO's or want that promotion then this is probably your best bet. I personally wouldn't use all of this for dating advice, I think people in general are more real and authentic now, they show their true selves on a first date as opposed to 50 or so years ago where this kind of stuff was really important for snagging a marriage. But this can be used well in a business setting for important companies, so either way it's a good video. 😊

    • @hannahware3751
      @hannahware3751 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely! However there are also other people (Christians, Jews, other religions, etc.) that tend to prefer the traditional way and I think that was more the target audience for her. However, I also agree with the business perspective as well. It makes a lot of sense in a lot of areas tbh

    There is no one size fits all men/women approach to dating. Continue to improve yourself (fitness, education, spiritual and mental well-being), have something in life that you care about, be authentic, and you’ll find someone eventually. These “how to catch a keep a man” tips are kinda outdated :/

      Most modern Western women either simply don’t understand OR care about the preferences of men-which clearly explains your comment.

    • @hazelparker9882
      @hazelparker9882 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@rickybobby9797 You so depressingly missed her point sir. Most guys don't actually 'groom' themselves or behave in ways in which they think women would prefer them. The scales haven't actually tipped to the other side. Modern women do still do that, not as much though. Much of it is for self-improvement (like how the nice lady above pointed out). Women do not exist for men and men do not exist for women (at least not in first world countries). Staying attached to traditional and extremely outdated values will only hinder you and hold you back. Of course you're welcome to have your views and I hope you have found/will find someone w/ similar views that is perfect for you. But it's not a good look to sit back and complain about how 'women just don't care anymore'. Trust me, they do. Maybe not to you.

    Hey Abby - I always thought that would be a niche angle for a dating site. Women who want to be moms/homemakers meeting men that are OK with that. Unfortunately it sounds like nowadays men want their wives to work also, but I guess im a traditionalist. I guess Christian mingle caters to this?

    • @JimJamTheAdmin
      @JimJamTheAdmin ปีที่แล้ว

      It's less that men want their women to work and more that due to the oppressive economy men and women can't survive in a traditional marriage by and large. I hope with a greater understanding of the economic hardship facing modern couples you find greater understanding of the simplicity of this problem. If you aren't born into wealth, it's an uphill battle that becomes impossible if you are also expected to be the sole breadwinner on wages that have been stagnating for decades while the cost of domestic goods has only ever gone up. It would be a great dating site where only the wealthiest couples could LARP as traditional christian. relationships while everyone below the upper class has to work for a living or die.
      Abby perfectly understand this, it's why she runs her own lucrative business.

      Yes, this. Just because some men go AWOOGA and act like they can't control themselves when they see a sexy woman does not mean they they are "more visual" than women. It just means that society hasn't held them accountable enough to keep their nasty thoughts about women to themselves.
      (I use this as an example because this is the primary thing I hear about when people try to prove that men are somehow "more visual".)

    Sadly, most women today believe that they are prize. Hence, they could care less about male preferences. In addition to the items Abby mentions there is one method that will impress a man most of all: A woman who has saved herself for her husband. No man of value wants to take the risk on a woman who lacks virtue. We all know the games that most modern women play and are, therefore, unworthy of marriage.
