I know i keep saying this KSN Sir, but your explanations are far better than any documentary. You are so clear and precise yet not condescending. The way you present this - it's like a friend talking a friend through things. Love your music backtracks too!! You are a legend!
Young mariners are soooo lucky to have your training.... wish there was TH-cam and an officer like you doing vids BEFORE i joined the Royal Navy. I would not have been so scared all the time during my training hahaha
I love it .I worked on REd Stack Tugs pushing Containers, aircraft carriers , barges, you name it. Dangerous like nothing else . Thank God i never lost a finger , arm . I never got a serious injury.
The reason we love you, are so much.. But what I realised you are the one who reply almost everyone's comment....may be that makes you special ...... Love you bhai❤️💯
Karan great video, as always. Interesting, filmed at a high professional level. Thanks for giving us a glimpse into the very responsible work of the sailors. 👏👏👏❤️
Thank you so much KSN for your incredibly clear explanations! Your ability to break down complex topics and address every point thoroughly is truly appreciated. It makes learning from your channel a breeze. Keep up the fantastic work!
Was at this port ( Bonny River ) last time in May 1972 with an oil tanker to load crude oil. We were anchored on the river. The container port had not yet been built. The locals had suffered much due to the Biafran war, which had just ended. Many of them came out to our ship in small boats to ask for money and food. Best regards from Danmark.
You are the one who start this this amazing initiative.... ❤ Bhut kuch dekhne ko milta hai sea and cargo ..life about the merchant..pahle mujhe lgta tha kuch nahi hota hai..but ab pta chalta hai ..
Nice video again worth the wait your videos are just continually getting better and better. You clearly care and will be a great Captain one day. Greg🇬🇧
Truly look forward to your videos! Wealth of information, explained in a way everyone can relate to. You do your career, your captain, crew, company and most importantly, yourself a great deal of credit. I would absolutely love to spend a voyage between two or three ports with you!
Hello from South Africa. Just watched the 3 Storms video and subbed immediately! As has been repeated plenty times already, you sir are taking us with you and explaining like you would to a friend. Keep safe.
Stumbled across your channel. I can’t stop watching your videos. Pretty cool to see all of this. Really cool you go all over the world. Nice production too!
Not sure this port is most dangerous than another, but sure that when I was a young officer lots of things looked tricky and worrying, and with age you become cooler! Thanks for sharing.
The SQUAT / Hunting experience is quite an unusual feeling, if fast enough you can feel the small gravity change, often we experienced this in the Persian gulf after bad weather and sand had been moved but up-dated data not been received. Therefor arrival time delayed to try and keep at least a minimum of 3m - plus. I must say that it is great to see that you treat your crew well and with humour. My Secunny / lookout-helmsman and I were on first name terms, which in the 70tys and 80tys was unheard of (3/0 - C/O) because of poor attitude ( I think you know what I mean) something that I still find abhorrent even today. The great thing is, that my wife and I we are still in contact with him and his family even now.
@@KaranvirSinghNayyar I Should thank you becoz 'Your perspective on life makes me want to live more thoughtfully! AND Also admire your determination when you strongly believe in something.” God bless You Always My friend !❤️
Hi Karan. Thank you very much for teaching us so much about your work on the container ship. I work as a stevedore in Spain, let's see if I can meet you one day. Greetings!!!
Very informative video as usual. For those who don't know, Squat is an affect on the ship depth in the water. When you increase the speed on a ship it sinks deeper in the water. Example: a ship with a draft of say 3 meters at 5 knots will still have a draft of 3 meters. But, increase that same ships speed to say 15 knots and now the draft maybe 3.2 meters. The ship sinks deeper in the water with speed. USN Submarine Service over and out. Karanvir I'm still waiting for my Egg Fu Young...so hurry up and get back to China. Safe travels.
Highly responsible job to stay on ship long time without any contact to outside world needs lots of discipline, sacrifices. Only the tough, brave can handle this job with perseverance & patience. All credit goes to them.
Great video. Very interesting is also the idea of the ballast water in the ship. And especially the docking maneuver. Has it ever happened that you had to use the emergency anchor? I love your videos.💖😍
Congratulations for 3 Lakhs Subscribers🎉🎉 Party to banti hai ab....Hamare saath nahi to aap apne sea-mates ke saath hi kar ke video daal do. We'll be happy for that too...
Karan, I'm a linesman in Melbourne. Can you explain to everyone what splitting the drum is when mooring? Do you split your drums when using rope? We mainly do fuel and oil tankers, which use wire and they always split their drums. Cheers, Andrew.
Very interesting. I like the detail you put into your explanations. It certainly helps understand life at sea. Watch out for Africa's dangerous Seagulls.
