What does the snare and ride being digital actually mean? On the module, the snare and ride plug in via digital instead of analog. What does this actually mean, from a technical standpoint? Higher quality audio compared to analog? More capabilities?

Stephen Davenport must be old since it says that it can only be used with the TD50. Obviously it can used with this TD27. I think this the set I’m going to get!!!
Wow... It has a cable snake but that doesn't bother me on my TD-17. I love having access to the digital hardware. How much is just the module going to be?
