We Kentucky fans have been trying to come to terms with the coaching malpractice of him and Dillingham being benchwarmers. Absolutely incredible talent that even we were surprised by
Jalen Green was the best player in the league during the month of March by every statistical measure. Not many people in the nba can replicate what he did that month. It was also the Rockets’ most successful month of basketball statistically and record wise. Now, the key for Jalen is consistency. Let’s see what the 22 year old has in his 4th season before we think he needs to be replaced. Jalen’s gravity to collapse defenses combined with Reed’s overall playmaking ability on both ends of the court should mesh well.
Problem with Green isn't so much Green himself it is the fact that the Rockets now have Cam Whitmore AND Reed Sheppard making it a logjam at the SG position. Someone is the odd man out and that person is Green if he doesn't take the next step by mid-season he will probably be the one traded. It is a shame too as I think in the long run Jalen will be a solid 24-5 ppg scorer with good efficiency later in his career as he matures.
@@backyardbuckets829 poster thinks just picking stats makes you a wiz. like cause bronny misssed 20 straights 3 pointers during bitch camp he suppose to be a rocket.
Your evaluation of JG is based off of 11 good games over the last 23 games of the season, while he had 12 bad games. Remember, he needed those 11-games just to get back to his career numbers for the season. In March 2024, JG had his best ever month in his 3-year career, but he was still inconsistent shooting 3s. Over 15 games he shot 40.8% on 3s, but 5 of those games (1/3) he was 6 for 33 for 18% on 3s. In April 2024, JG shot 29% in 8 games with only ONE good game going 5 of 10 on 3s.
@davidvickers8425 yo they have two top 3 picks on the bench with a super hustle defender who turns defense into offense, a walking bucket at the three and an anchor. The bench might be more well rounded then the starters lol
The reason whitmore is playing is to see how Reed and him play together and what they could be together in the backcourt, Houston has to really like what they are seeing. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Houston win the summer league championship.
Dude could seriously be a top 15 player in basketball. I realized last year dude is a menace. I also think its possible to have reed be a point. Imagine a lineup of Reed Sheppard Jalen green Cam whitmore Jabari smith Alperin sengun
Jalen Green is not going anywhere why does everyone keep wanting that to happen 😂. He’s special and was starting to get more consistent towards the end of last year. He’s got the highest upside too, he’s a taller Ja Morant with a better jumper! That’s insane man. FVV and Brooks are definitely get minutes taken away from them and getting shipped out when things start to looks spooky. The Rockets got some potential monSTARS on the roster. Shades of the prime warriors team…just with more explosive players…luv it mane 🚀🚀🚀
Was looking for this comment before I made it myself. You’re correct - touching the ball with both hands is considered a double dribble and not a carry.
Rockets are going to be big players at the deadline this year. Shep Green Thompson Smith Jr. Senguin Eason, Whitmore core bench pieces. Just need to figure out the best lineups and rotations.
Unless Jalen Green plays like complete ass, I think he keeps his starter spot. If he's his normal up and down self, and they have an idea that he wants more than a Anfernee Simons contract, I think he gets traded at the deadline. Before that, though, Dillon Brooks is more likely to lose his spot to any of Cam/Amen/Tari. I think all three are better than him right now, and him eating big minutes will both stifle the young guys growth and hinder a playoff run. And having just said that, I like what Dillon brought to the team last year. He was the dude who had something to say when DeRozen tackled Jalen Green for no apparent reason, he was the guy eyeballing Lebron in warmups. He dished out a couple of cheap shots I could do without, but he was way cleaner than say, Draymond Green.
They still don’t understand how young the kid is. He’s just supposed to be a sophomore in college lol. If he stays healthy and they give him the green light in that horrible offense then he’s gonna kill ih
No related to reed, but houston bringing a 12 ppg NBA player to summer league is diabolical 💀 obviously cam whitmore hooping in summer league. That’s good nba role player numbers, and that was his rookie season. Houston has been great at drafting recently.
Typical Reed game that Rockets fans need to just get used to....more shots made than missed. Highly efficient, especially for an "undersized, unathletic" combo guard. The haters will hate because he isn't flashy and doesn't draw attention to himself.
Jalen didn't have a good year? you obviously didn't follow the NBA towards the end of the year, or you would know about his insane breakout in feb-march

In the whole league??

I love cam in the summer league dude just love ball
That double dribble/carry is the norm in the NBA these days
He was amazingly fun to watch at UK- we’re sad he left early, but happy for him. 👍
GBB!
The rockets bench is scary
when adams is on the bench its going to outscore the starters
@davidvickers8425 yo they have two top 3 picks on the bench with a super hustle defender who turns defense into offense, a walking bucket at the three and an anchor. The bench might be more well rounded then the starters lol
Damnnn Reed had everyone on skates and had some quick hands on defense.
Reed Sheppard is the second of coming curry 👨🍳
Might be bigger combo guard version of Steve Nash.
nah more like a steve nash
Seth
@@sjsjdjshwjwk2908nah Nash didn’t play defense like Reed or have that athleticism

I'm just gone say it....Stop calling Sengun baby Jocik.
Baby Fox without the 3PTers
*jokic and it’s a valid comparison
Is BJ better for you? heh
The Wizard 👌🏻
THE TURKISH DELIGHT
Love the video sir.
Jerry West ceiling for Reed?
First time I’m excited for the season to start in awhile
Dude could seriously be a top 15 player in basketball. I realized last year dude is a menace.

Jalen green

Jabari smith

Great time to be a rockets fan
I cant wait for the rockets to get adams on court, fans wont see it but that guys work is making everyone better, and he does it at an all star level.
Im so confused i swear i saw this exact video yesterday, but its says it was posted 5 hours ago
he's as good as I predicted. No surprise here.
This team is going to be so good in a few years. A starting 5 of Reed, Jalen Green, Amen or Cam Whitmore, Jabari, and Sengun
Cam wanted to play. He just wanted the reps and to try and improve. Basically just practice and warming up for the season
And bro just turned 20 last week I think people forget how young he really is cause of his size 😭
As long as JG picks up where he left off at the end of last season and shows some consistency, they're gonna drop a bag on him..
Jalen Green is not going anywhere why does everyone keep wanting that to happen 😂. He’s special and was starting to get more consistent towards the end of last year. Rockets definitely making the playoffs. Jalen was turning into a complete player last year and it took a while for his offense to catch up
Lmfao one summer league game gotta love it
wouldn't that be a double dribble rather than a carry?
Was looking for this comment before I made it myself. You’re correct - touching the ball with both hands is considered a double dribble and not a carry.
Yeah, and he knew he did it too.
Yea meant to say that whoops now I should like a casual💀
TCAM IS IN THE SUMMER LEAGUE CAUSE HE IS A WINNER WHO IS HEADING TO SUPER MAX ALL STAR STATUS
enjoy this channel, good commentator
He’s in the NBA There are no carrying calls.
Sheppard was drafted 3rd, he was EXACTLY supposed to be this good
He’s the 3rd pick for a reason
Rockets are going to be big players at the deadline this year.

Green

Eason, Whitmore core bench pieces. Just need to figure out the best lineups and rotations.
No coach ever did less with more than John Calipari.
If both hands were on the ball it would be a double dribble.
Is it possible for vets to play in the summer league ? For example like Jalen ? Or sengun ?
Any time the Rockets spank the Lakers’ a$$ on the court it’s a great day!
Who a better long term prospect if we had to pick? Cam or green?

dillons reputation is a little over inflated. Yall dont realize though what happens when you have adams.

Yup
Reed Sheppard next PG in Houston after Fred VanVleet expired contract?
1:20 I don't think his right hand touched the ball. it was a fake.
Idk I feel like he touched it maybe km wrong tho
most likely he did, but I haven't seen an angle yet thats made it definitive
I think he admitted it was a double dribble
Why is cam out there ….. bc he didn’t play that much last year on top of getting hurt plus the big one lmaooo he’s only 20
Cam is really too good for the summer league Tari should be playing though if he healthy
First off a carry is legal in the NBA 😂
No related to reed, but houston bringing a 12 ppg NBA player to summer league is diabolical 💀 obviously cam whitmore hooping in summer league. That’s good nba role player numbers, and that was his rookie season. Houston has been great at drafting recently.
Summer League is for Sophomore and Rookies that's why.
just cause those stats are bad didnt mean the other were outliers either................... or
The Rockets are deep as hell!?!? They’re gonna be a problem.
I mean he was drafted 3rd overall
That’s called a double dribble not a carry. Lol
That was a double

I think he faked grabbing it with the other hand; not a carry
he is better than jalen
Most nba players are.
Sheppard did not start at Kentucky. Sleazeball Calipari started Wagner. By the way, Wagner is still college ball.
I love Reed but i don't see the rockets being able to have him and Fred on the court together. They will get destroyed defensively.
It's one summer league game. Yall mfs be thirsty as hell for content.

Jalen didn't have a good year? you obviously didn't follow the NBA towards the end of the year, or you would know about his insane breakout in feb-march
A good month isn’t the same as a good year
He had a good stretch but overall for the year he underperformed to what we thought he was going to look like
Dalton connect out played reed
Watch NBA the Rockets are coming
More proof Calipari can’t coach
Damnnn Reed had everyone on skates and had some quick hands on defense.
