hi! I suggest you get the MacBook Pro if you want a laptop that will last longer since it has a bigger battery and it's good for heavy duty work. get the air if you prioritize portability, overall air's performance was good enough for me ^^

You'll get there soon!! I took 6 years to have my first laptop, waited to finish studying, and have been working now for almost 4 years before I was able to buy myself a macbook air m1 too. Trust the process and never let anything push you back.

macbook air has no fan, only the pro version has one. it's m1 chip is super fast too!
