    Here is the link to where I've uploaded the MIDI file for this piece (the IMSLP page for this opus): imslp.org/wiki/Grandes_%C3%A9tudes_de_salon,_Op.756_(Czerny,_Carl%29
    Navigate to the "Synthesized/MIDI" tab and click the link to download (which should happen automatically). Hopefully it should work just fine but let me know if it doesn't.
    I'll start organising my files and folders for my previous uploads and share some of their MIDIs online (and possibly PDFs of the scores too!). A lot of my files are in a total mess, so it might take me some time to do so but it will happen!

    There are a bunch of points in this that really remind me of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata.

    1:36 Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. Who was inspired by whom?

    • @composerjalen

      Well considering Czerny was a student of Beethoven...

    • @avecesar4244
      @avecesar4244 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@composerjalen Quite probably. Although not always a great composer had his inspiration himself in his works: Bizet in Carmen's "Habanera", Mozart in some of his "Magic Flute" arias (Papageno), Haendel in "Ombra mai fu"; Bach used Vivaldi's works, great pianists were inspired by Czerny's works ...

      @@avecesar4244 what? My point is that Beethoven's 14th sonata was composed before Czerny wrote a single work

    • @avecesar4244
      @avecesar4244 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@composerjalen Right. Czerny was inspired by Beethoven. My point is that great composers also took inspiration in other "minor" composers and people think the idea was theirs as in the case of Bizet's Habanera from Carmen. And some of Chopin's etudes have strange similarities to Czerny's etudes...

      I always thought that a lot of Czerny was adapted from passages of Beethoven, to help you learn typical patterns
