    I never thought about the electric bills. I use a Qnap M.2 NAS. It barely uses any wattage. I think once I populate all the M.2 slots, I’ll just buy another one.

    Gday mate, good video. Not sure what electrical outlets you have in the US but see if you can score some conduit for the outdoor cable run. Its fairly cheap and most come with some adhesive tape on one side, capable of supporting a few cables. Keep up the good work young fella.

    That's a solid setup dude! Subbed :) One question though, why are you running your network cables outside of your house?

    • @TylerWynn
      @TylerWynn  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your comment, the reason why I am running the network cable outside is because some people in my house did not wont a network cable inside and it was too complicated to run it through the walls so I settled on running it outside.

    • @TylerWynn

      Hi, so sorry for the late reply. Yesss they are way overpriced, here's a one similar to what I got on ebay: www.amazon.com/18U-Network-Server-Cabinet-Adjustable/dp/B01J2N5NHK. I would also suggest going to a surplus website or find a different used rack, you can get them for dirt cheep

    • @TylerWynn
      @TylerWynn  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ya it's very expensive but I did not pay that much for it, I only payed $75 for it at a surplus store. You just need to look on craigslist or eBay to find one for a good price, and that logic works on almost all used enterprise gear, just be patient.

    couple points. don't state the obvious, that thing taking up half the screen is your server rack? either you think we are stupid and didnt know that is a server rack, or for what ever reason you think we think thats someone elses server. if someone is watching this then they know what a kvm,pdu and ups are. some people would like makes and models of said gear.
