Floor is married to the blond bandmember , Hannes van Dahl . He is the drummer in Sabaton. They hav two kids , Greetings from nwAse Sweden
Can you imagine the planning meeting for this film. Director: "Okay, guys ... and at the end we need the voice of an angel!" Hannes: "Hold my beer and hand me my phone!" If you're not aware, the blonde at the beginning is the drummer of Sabaton, Hannes van Dahl, and the husband of Floor Jansen.

This event is a very true one, that took place along the French-British-Belgian/German front line on Christmas Eve 1914. It happend in many places along this front line, that soldiers of both sides began singing Christmas carols, ant noted that they were singing the same ones in another language! This prompted some soldiers to get out of their trenches during the night and with candles, to enter no man's land. There was a very relaxed atmosphere, as my great-grandfather told me, he was a Belgian soldier near Ypres on the front line and witnessed these things. On Christmas day some even played indeed football games and shared their rations and alcohol together. The cross in the clip is also a true fact, although not the same anymore (wood withers with time), it has been regularly replaced and still stands at its authentic spot, near Comines in Belgium where a replica of the original trenches has been rebuilt. Not a day goes by without somebody placing flowers, or cross of remembrance with a poppy, or a candle light at the foot of the cross, it has become a great symbol in the area.

Sabaton as usual tells the story of those forgotten to history but were the ones who participated in these events and made them possible. The generals were so upset that they made sure it never happened again and sadly the war went on for another bloody 4 years. A real true story of human spirit. To me this is one of the best music videos ever made! And it's also one of the most important and awesome Christmas songs ever! Sabaton is on another level!
This song is based on 'Carol of the Bells' (with inversed arpeggios). Very clever composition!
Good reaction vid, and touching and beautifully done by Sabaton.
It is the sound from carol of the bells you hear from the piano at start, and throughout the song, so that surely helps make the song feel christmas to, this song should have been on previous album Sabaton released, but it didnt quite fit, and they didnt have the right melody yet, for this theme, so they waited for the perfect moment to release it, and made it better in meantime polishing it up, so this song was a long time on the way, and a lot of work hours put into getting it just right..
And i think it worked out right, they made a great Christmas song for sure!!

And the best ... it is not a tale ... the Christmas Truce ... Winter 1914. They were dreading having to spend Christmas away from their families. Then something incredible happened on December 24, 1914. Soldiers from both sides put down their weapons, stepped out of their trenches and enemy really did meet enemy between the trenches. For a short time, there was peace.
