Cd projektred has mentioned that they are no longer using their in house engine for their games. They are switching over to unreal since the cyberpunk launch was so difficult. Honestly a real shame tbh
that IS a shame :( might be for the bes though long run. my guess is they cant afford (financially and reputation wise) another cp2077. they eventually managed to get this right, i dont think they can get it so wrong again.
A ture masterpeice of likes we may not see again. I'll die on that hill. I would disagree with what you said about style over substance, the story Main and side are some of the most substantive tails I've every played. Though I can understand what you mean from purely a gameplay aspect, but with a story and writing that good the last thing I want is an overly complicated gameplay style. I think they hit the nail on the head with the balance. The game leaves you yearning for more and that's the mark of great entertainment. Even after I've beaten it multiple times I want to go back. I don't think Cyberpunk will be matched graphically till GTA6 and I don't think GTA6 will come close to the stylized and substantive story nature of Cyberpunk.
the style over substance comment was only in relation to the gameplay! definitely not the story which has too much substance for my heart to take at times 😭
i mean i bought the game day 1 on pc and it didnt work... the immersion was destryoed by countless bugs. i think saying the release was not terrible is letting CDPR off the hook. People who pay their hard earned money for a game deserve better. alot better. They even acknowledge this on the trailer for Phantom Libery! "The game is fixed". then we have the last gen console issues....
Great review, it made me decide to purchase the game :)
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did ! Appreciate the comment :)
