hey friends!! 💗☁️ it’s my first vlog using my new Sony vlogging camera - comment below if you notice a difference in the video quality! I switched from my canon m50 to this Sony camera and idk how I feel about it 🤪
Love the picture quality of the camera & the audio is good but almost too good because you can hear/notice the jump cuts if that makes sense..
@@kaylashorter5911 yesss i need to figure out if that's an issue bc of 4k or a setting, the microphone or what, bv I'm editing like usual but never had this issue before 😭😭 Bear with me on the audio
I think I like the quality and sound of this camera.
But something about your old camera that the color seemed a little warmer Really miss it
But you do what’s best for you.
So sorry to hear about your injuries due to the car accident. Thank you for being candid about relationships. I felt the same way about men in relationships.
@@SelenaTrevino no worries.. take your time. Creating content & learning/ adjusting to new equipment isn’t always easy/smooth, you just got in an accident & you just moved/bought a house- you’ve got so much going on! Loving your videos by way!
I wanted to comment on your thoughts on marriage and equality in the household. I am genuinely surprised and happy to see that your religion is so important to you AND you chose to live together before marriage. So many women go into a shared household blind to who their partner is in a domestic context, and it is amazing to me that you're actually figuring things out before you get married. I also very much appreciate how thoughtfully you talked about your family and experiences growing up. I think a lot of us can relate to that. I love that you both are wrestling with these things NOW rather than when you're already married, or having had kids (if you want any), when most of the time the dynamic is so pronounced that it's hard to make changes. Though it's funny how we always think of men "helping" with chores rather than them being equally as responsible for the household. Regardless, you partner seems like one of the good ones. Good for you both ❤
Regardless, since I think it was her house before all this, I would definitely protect it as an asset before any wedding takes place. Can never be too safe.
@@lisak603 Who said she's not doing that? What a bizarre comment to make.
@@bonesonstones1 it’s not bizarre if you’re truly thinking about protecting yourself. I’ve seen relationships go south and people get bitter. Just nice to have your interests protected.
I was hit by a car while walking 09/20 and it wasn’t traumatic. I have been in pain that flares up and is so uncomfortable. My primary doc told me to chill on the chiropractor and try physical therapy for a more long term solution. It is very frustrating but you’re not alone and definitely get the attorney because it’s not cheap trying to heal! And a neck and shoulder heating pad twice a day has done wonders for me!
Hope you are feeling better!
Loved the video! So happy to hear you changed your views on marriage. As a newlywed, I can tell you it’s a beautiful journey. You become closer to your partner the closer you both are to God ❤️
I sooo relate and appreciate your short talk on your relationship. I totally agree about the family/generational trauma thing. I grew up where women were expected to follow all the patriarchal ideals and make the most sacrifices. Crazy enough, my mom is still the breadwinner in the family... yea definitely not interested in that kind of life lol. I'm Catholic but have no intention of getting married. And honestly? Very happy about that decision. Great update video as always. I pray you have complete healing sooner than expected.
I was in a car accident last month, you sharing your experience means so much to me ! I feel exactly the same way , I can’t exercise , taking so many tablets a day , so many dr trips & being told I might need scans on my back. Thank you for sharing , it’s a nice reminder you’re never alone x
Your energy is so calming girl - love it here 💕 also sending you all the healing energy, neck & back pain is no joke!
omg thank you ❤ appreciate you, girl!
I loved the fact that you talked about moving in and living together with your bae. It takes a lot of adjustments whenever you live with someone!
it really does, it can go either way honestly! but its been great :)
I've been having symptoms after a concussion 10 years ago. Neglecting it the first two years made it worse. Your body is strong, don't over-worry, but also don't neglect symptoms. Sharing this here is not being negative! We live in a very ableist world where people feel shame about not being super healthy. Please keep sharing, it normalizes injuries and illness. ❤❤❤
Oooh I appreciate this perspective, I agree that we live in a very ableist society. Sending love ❤
The camera update is pretty. The crisp even picture in dim lighting what a beautiful camera🥺
thank you!!! I definitely still need to adjust and learn what settings are best for me, but I appreciate your feedback ❤
Quality is looking great (: Sending you all the prayers! Hopefully your recovery goes smoothly! 🤍
The marriage talk is so important! I honestly feel the same way and having a partner not do their share is a big fear. My parents are Mexican and I lucked out with parents that actually share the equal load BUT I have other relatives that it's so unequal and I just feel exhausted thinking of that type of situation. I'm at a start of a relationship and we made it a point to have these conversations early on since we're also both Christians and understand how marriage is a big thing and thankfully he has always made efforts to not just leave me with emotional burdens or thinking some things are only meant for me to deal with.
Your house is beautiful! Prayers you’ll feel better sooner than later!❤️
Healing prayers your way! Your young and strong, it will get better. Tough times never last. ❤️
Yayyy!!! Been waiting for a vlog :) Love the flowers 💐 😍 I like to hear the good and the bad, cause that's real life. I wish u all the very best to get your injuries sorted and cure for the pain. ❤
So happy to see hear about the evolution of your fear of marriage & way to cheer on your boyfriend because also very important! Continue putting God at the center and it’ll get better. ❤
Ever so inspiring Selina, thank you for sharing your life with us.
Selena you are such a beautiful person and your videos are so relaxing and peaceful. Loving the new house!
i’m glad you’re getting a primary care doctor! i hope they can help you access everything you need
And also, loving your touches on your beautiful home ❤
Hi Selena happy new year to you and your loved ones and I hope that 2024 brings you a lot of love and happiness
Y'all are so cute 🥰🥰🥰. I am praying for your recovery, Selena.
Your home looks so pretty and peaceful🥹 I hope you're able to heal as soon as possible possible from the accident🩷
Your house is beautiful, and it just looks so relaxing. Prayer and giving thanks to God has brought you to this point. He will always be there to help.
May God continue to bless you and all of your loved ones.
I Missed you 🤍 I hope you recovery/healing process is quick and healthy! We are glad you are back up and like you say the little things matter! 🤍 know that God is by your side and things that happen in life will be guided by him have faith and trust in him ✨
Been waiting for a home update! 🙌
Praying for your recovery 💜 I’ve also started doing my nails at home this year!
I think a few people mentioned this but I would definitely try physical therapy I also had a friend in an accident a while back and she tried acupuncture but I would only do that once your doctor says it's ok. For the pain I would also see if there are any natural doctors or remedies you can try within reason. Additionally be easy on your body our bodies are resilient but they need time to heal continue to stay active but do not over extend yourself. I think even just going for daily walks or doing soft yoga is a way to be active without being harsh on yourself. Also I've been doing physical therapy for both tmj and pelvic floor and my physical therapist suggested doing water or aquatic exercise because it's soft on the body. Wishing you the best ❤
I can relate to you Selena, it is never easy when we go through a physical injury, I had a traumatic experience with an injury in my mid-back, I went through hell and back trying to manage my excruciating pain. I went from taking Ibuprofen, injection shots, and physical therapy which rarely worked. I could say by the grace of God, my primary doctor referred me to an ortho-surgeon specialist to repair my torn labrum along with another round of physical therapy, and slowly but surely and with a lot of praying I am returning to myself again pain-free. It is not an easy journey but when you have a great support system it makes everything durable. My prayer for you is that God will help you through this season with practical and faithful ways to help you to a speedy recovery.💞💞💞
Both of your food looked so good! Also loved the athleisure outfit. Hope your pain gets fully better soon. 🌷
Hey Girl! Please consider getting multiple orthopedic surgeon's opionions before moving forward with any procedures/surgies. Make sure you alternate between ice/heat, try a tens unit (off of amazon) , chronic pain meditations on youtube are great, and work with a physical therapist in person 2x weekly. While some may get relief with surgery, it is not the answer for everyone. Spinal procudres have high risks of permanent nerve damge, that leave people in more pain. I am passionate about this topic as a pain management provider! Sending love and healing.
We are here for you, praying for some relief❤ Life happens so glad you are getting it off your chest at least
thank you so much ❤
Love your home! and keep believing and trusting in God for healing. He wouldn't lead you this far to let you down now.♥
Hi Selena! I’m sorry to hear about your car accident. I was in a small car accident a couple of years ago, and I had bad whiplash. As someone who is literally on edge all the time, I know it’s hard to take it easy when you have to navigate health care after an accident. I hope you get well soon!
Im sorry you were in a car accident! I feel you with being in the costant pain, I had an accident when I ws younger, and now i have constant back pain, nothing helps, stretching, chiropractor, physio etc. I know how frustrating it is..
ugh, I'm sorry you can relate bc it sucks :((
Coffee is the best part of my day😂
I was in a car accident 7 years ago that resulted in orthopedic surgery and needing lawyers. Just wanted to say what you’re feeling is normal, even if it doesn’t feel like. One thing that surprised me that as soon as I was in the accident seeing how capitalistic and inhuman the whole process is. My best advice is get an attorney (I was very anti- attorney too because it just felt like too much, but trust me when I say the process starts to get incredibly inhumane and you need an advocate) and get physical therapy if your orthopedic surgeon recommended it. Sending you love!
when you mentioned the "laundry basket" struggle it made me laugh because giiiiiiirl, i've had 2 laundry baskets full of clean clothes that have just been sitting there haunting me every time i walk into my bedroom! the struggle is definitely real! 😅 (on a more serious note though) i'm so sorry to hear more about your car accident struggles and pains, and thank you for opening up and sharing that with us ❤ it's a long healing process but eventually the pain will lessen and be more manageable 🙏🏻 i got into a few car accidents (all me getting hit by someone) when i was in my 20s and i was just like you - didn't really know the whole process of it all and was just gonna do the minimum and call it good, but thankfully one of my close girlfriends forced me to get checked out by a doctor, who then referred me to massage and physical therapy, and then helped me find a lawyer (which by the way - matthew kaplan in downtown portland is who helped my sister, my friend, and myself all with our car accident issues and his team was great!). i also love how david does the dishes for you and the open communication (which being with my hubby now for 11 years - 4 years dating, 7 years married) communication and having an open dialogue with your significant other is still so key! we've also learned to put God in the middle of our relationship and for us personally, it's honestly the best thing.
I LOVE my peloton tread. It's expensive & I paid it off as well, but honestly so worth it. I had the bike+, but realized I liked the tread more. So happy for you and hope you heal
I love my peloton too! and thank you ❤
I really enjoyed this video.
Have a great weekend
Have you considered swimming until your back recovers since it’s a less impactful sport?
yes, if severak doctors agree it's safe I'll def do it. I just don't want to prolong my recovery in any way.
I expect Physical Therapy will be in your future. Definitely consider introducing heat pads and cool packs to help ease strains and inflammation while your body heals. I deal with chronic pain and I swear by my rice bags and plug in heating pad to help when my pain flairs up. Every little bit helps! Hopefully you will find out soon how best to manage your pain while you heal.
I was rear-ended 20 some years ago. I still struggle with intense neck pain. I use heat daily and have one of those auto massagers. I would try cold and hot. It can help, too. I'm so sorry you're struggle with this pain
Definitely try wet cupping and physical therapy to improve symptoms and avoid any physical exercises where you are experiencing pain. I’m wondering if you are experiencing symptoms of a whiplash. I was also in a car accident two years ago rear ended. It’s been a challenging time sometimes, but what helped the most with healing and to stop with the medication was weekly physical therapy with combination of wet cupping!
Your music background is giving out so many vibes right now…❤
I love Redkin Bonding!!
its honestly the best!!
Such a nice home
❤❤❤

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well, hang in there.house coming along nicely.
Thank you ❤
Okay I do like the quality much better ♥️
ooh thank you ❤
Hi Selena, regarding your post-accident recovery, have you considered seeing an osteopathic physician specializing in OMT (osteopathic manipulative therapy)? I am a DO student in California and we are constantly discussing how can you facilitate healing by using "indirect" measures (I.e. not the high-velocity techniques chiropractors frequently use). DOs are board-licensed physicians as well so they may be able to meet your needs and help you feel better soon. Best of luck in your recovery!
Hope u will get well soon 😊❤
Thank you 🥲
Ha regarding laundry. I hate folding underwear and socks and it usually sits in a laundry basket for a couple of days.
SAME hahaha
I was also stuck in the storm! I’m from Eugene!
Oh cool, SKO DUCKS!! haha
What do you put in with your coffee for the french press?! Looks so yummy!
“It’s me” 😂
He cracks me up
Love your videos. Have you tried acupuncture it definitely works. I’ve used it for my back and it’s the best. Hope things go better for you. ❤
Not yet! thanks for the tip ❤
I’ve been looking for a robe in that colour. Was it purchased on Amazon?
Acupuncture!! I swear by it. ANY injury I've ever had has had the healing time halved by acupuncture and I've had some serious injuries over the years. It won't be an overnight fix, but it absolutely helps with pain management and increase the body's natural healing ability. And just like doctors and therapists, you may need to find a chiro that's a better "fit" for you. Hope you get some answers soon!
Did you try D9 THC gummies. They are more of natural route for pain relief better than tylenol. Start slow 15mg snd see give them a try they are so many good quality on market now. And they are legal so you dont have to worry
Can you share more about the retaining wall process and cost?
Yes I gotta do a home diaries update where I’ll go over the entire process 🫶🏽
And sorry to hear about the car accident 😣
thank you!
1. I'm so sorry you were in an accident. 2. Having worked in law you definitely should see an attorney. They can help speed up the process with the doctors. I also CANNOT believe the chiropractor even worked on you knowing you had an accident. For the most part they wont work on you until you see a doctor and specialist because they can further injure you. Thank you for opening up about what you're going through.
Maybe try acupuncture for the pain! It can be helpful in addition to seeing the orthopedic doctor
I was stopped and some idiot hit me from behind when I was 20. My neck/jaw is still messed up almost 18 years later. My ear is now messed up too 😮💨 it's not fun.
Rather than Tylenol or Advil, try a natural alternative like Ginger Root or Turmeric.
I honestly would if I believed that would provide any kind of relief but if pain meds barely help, I don't think turmeric alone will. I will consult with my physician and other Dr's as needed.
I was in a car accident and was hit right in my driver door from someone turning on red. I had a herniated disc in my neck but my lower/mid back is what hurt. The accident was Sept. and I continued to have pain well into the next entire year. I did physical therapy 2-3x a week at a Chiro office. Stretching and walking helps to keep you moving. It takes time as frustrating as that may seem. Please get a personal injury attorney and they will typically take payment in a % from the money recovered from the insurance of the person that hit you. If you have under or uninsured on your plan they can also go after that amount as well.
thank you so much for sharing! did you eventually heal 100% from your injuries? I'm sorry that happened to you btw. :((
@@SelenaTrevino Yes, it’s been 5 years now and I am not in any daily neck or back pain. I sometimes have issues but those are probably like anyone pulling a muscle or getting older. Haha. I was really fit at the time of my accident and lifting/running almost everyday. I will say I pretty much just walk 2 miles daily now with crunches and other basic lifting occasionally.
Have you considered thc or cbd for pain relief? I know they make creams too
no, but I may have to look into a CBD cream. I def don't want to ingest anything :)
love all the updates! Just a little heads up, the cuts make me a little dissy. there seem to be a lot of small cuts in this video especially in the last part.
Yeah I hate it too! I'm not sure why but no matter how hard I tried to cut it at the right moment (like I usually do), there seemed to be some weird cut off sound that has never Halppened before... I tried my best. I'm not sure if its the camera or the microphone or the 4k or some other setting 😭
Not me thinking my clean clothes basket is there since beginning of December... :')
lol mine stays there
Til
It's nonlomget
Clean and then j have to just wash my clothes again
I’ve seen so many people deal with chronic pain after “not major” car accidents. I get that they say to not continue to get adjusted anymore but another chiropractor or maybe an osteopath might be able to guide you in the right direction. Or at least adjust other parts of
Your body to keep you healthy while
You heal. Don’t give up!
Yeah he’s been using a laser on me to decrease inflammation and then I also get a massage so it atleast temporarily provides relief and helps with circulation to aid in healing! I just was feeling frustrated I think when filming hehe 🤭
@@SelenaTrevino don’t feel about that! Chronic pain is so frustrating and affects you so much. I’ve been there. And you didn’t come off as frustrated. Just sharing facts.
Please go to a acupuncture. I got great results after 3 treatments😊
I'm glad that worked for you! maybe I;ll try someday
what is your pearly nail polish color? it's so pretty and sheer!
the ouai body wash is some of the BESR smelling stuff ever
what is the specific camera that you’ve just switched to? :)
Sony a6700
Seek a Physical Therapist! They will teach you what exercises to do to strengthen and support your back while everything heals up!
I gotta say I preferred the old camera. Maybe it’s the setup but the colors are not as flattering and maybe a little too HD
Thank you for your honest feedback! I honestly love the 4K quality of the Sony and the overall crisp quality but I do think the colors are more flattering on canon, but maybe I just need to find a new way to color grade or get used to it, idk.
I think in low lighting the canon performed better. In good lighting the Sony is great.
You need to see a physical therapist too. I want to tell you that I love your videos and I am in my 40’s. ❤
thank you so much ❤

I would also like to open up a cafe or coffee shop 🥹
Go for it!
If you haven't already you should get an MRI done to see whats going on inside and that way the doctor can see your nerves. You should also seek out physical therapy. Just be careful of taking that much Nsaids it can ruin your liver and heart! For pain i would look into using CBD oil its natural and wont ruin your health.
I am not giving legal advice but I am a personal injury legal assistant. Young clients bounce back versus older clients. You do have to go through all of this to feel better. I am truly sorry you are going through this. Im not a doctor but be careful with prescribed pain killers and always always be honest with your doctor's about your progress. If your doctors treatments are not helping please let them know. A lot of my clients feel bad about saying that to their doctors. I like all the comments recommending to see a physical therapist
1000%, my chiropractor has referred me to a PT, so that's the next step and hopefully I'll find some relief with PT treatment!
Bonjour Selena.
I can’t imagine the discomfort, pain and inconvenience from the accident. I hope you heal soon! Sending you all the healing energy ❤️🩹
The peloton treadmill looks awesome! I have the bike and I love it. However I do like walking more than riding. May consider it when I have more space😅
Thank you, it's hard ,but I'm staying hopeful ❤
Did anyone else feel like this video was kind of choppy?
Yes me 😭😭
Another bad trait of marriage shown by our parents is not having friends outside of the family. Or only one set of friends that are a a couple
oooh that's so true! we're taught to only rely on our husband/wife but then they also can't even fully rely on eachother, so it's all just overwhelming tbh.
I was in a car accident a few years ago. I dont understand how drs are seeing you without telling you to get a lawyer first. Your lawyer will send you to all the drs that you need to see and the bill will be paid by the person who hit you and not charged to your insurance ( which is why you need a lawyer). Dont take a lot of pain killers because they can become addictive and they arent good for your liver. You may need physical therapy and not chiro care but let the drs. figure that out (the ones your lawyer will send you to). I will be praying for you. feel better.
See a physical therapist. It’s not the perfect fix but it will help you navigate your pain while improving your function.
yess, that's def the next step for me ❤
I would suggest physical therapy! Hope you get well soon
Is it just me, or is the editing making this choppy sound throughout the entire video?
It's not just you!! I'm not sure why, if it was a setting or the mic, testing it out in the next vlog 😭
I thought it might be my earbuds. Thanks for clarifying. Love the vlog.
@@miamoreleah yeah it was bugging me even during editing I hope it doesn't keep happening 😭 thank you 🫶🏽
Aw girlie🥹 I really hope you find a solution for the pain soon!🩷
I would try physical therapy 🫶🏼
Greetings from South Africa! I pray that you feel better soon! And random side note but I have a similar morning robe in dusty pink it’s so lovely!
greetings!! thank you sm.
