as you will see i'm bored as hell right now so i'm going to do some dumb calculations: you want specifically "attack +10 ()()()" there's 129 skills in monster hunter. you're looking for specifically 1 which is 0'7% chance to get "that specific" skill excluding the all possible combinations of everything in that math because second skills are not important there are 7 types of charm in gen (pawn, bishop, knight, rook, queen, king & dragon) you're specifically looking for 3 (Q,K & D) that's 42'86% chance. there's 20 total point distribution (from -10 to +10) in attack you're looking specifically for 1. that's a 5% chance those 3 charms have a chance to have from none to 3 skills. you need 3 specifically. that's 25% just having those values in mind there's 0'0038% chance to get that specific charm with only 1 charm the real chances is calculated with (1- (1-0,000038)^N) being N the number of "timeworn charms" you get in the quest. In your clip you got (pause at 1:36 ) 11 viable charms which means your odds are 0,04125% that's why they suck. the chances are waaaaaay to minimal
They have similar (and worse) rates for decorations in world, but you usually need more than one of them to match what you could have gotten out of a godcharm that you would only have to find one time
The mixed set that gives you gathering +2, miraculous Luck and charm chaser needs a charmer +7 OOO or gathering +11 OO. The fact that we need god talisman for charm farming sounds ironic to me.
Not sure where you've gotten this idea, but full Crystalbeard armor with the default Gathering+10 charm gives you 15 points of Fate and Gathering, plus CBeard Soul which includes Charm Chaser and Negate Hunger. It's basically made for charm farming and only requires the default talisman (plus a triple slot weapon, any weapon)
With that armor, u only get Fate +15 which gives u great luck, not the maximum of +20 (Miraculous Luck). While it might only increase 1 or 2 charms per run on average, this leaves me pretty uncomfortable D:
not gonna lie, but in my 2nd charm run solo i managed to get charmer +5 OOO, charmer +4 OO and charmer +7 OOO like, yeah thats pretty good for charm runs, but wouldnt had been even better if the game just gave me THE FUCKING FASTCHARGE +5 OOO I WAS LOOKING FOR AND THATS IT? fuck charm runs

Don't you love this MH's version of a charm table? Every time you turn on and off the 3DS it generates new charms; but probably not the one you're searching for.
Someday Capcom will realize that making people mindlessly farm for the charms they want is dumb, and then they'll just let people make/upgrade charms as they wish. Someday...
Without irony, considering they're changing up cats in XX and letting you reroll some things on them, on top of all those other super small quality of life things (trap dismantling holy shit)... There's a bit of genuine hope in there. Only question then is how long until 'MH5'.

Most of the new MH games are released about a year after the expansion of the previous game, aside from MH4 which took about 2 years. We have to also keep in mind that there are other competitors in the "monster hunting" genre these days, and I remember Capcom stating that they've got a watchful eye on the competition so they'll potentially make some huge improvements/changes in order to keep MH at the top. Sooooo... 1-3 years after MHXX for a Japanese release on the Switch. 2-4 if you take the time it takes for a western release. tl:dr It'll be a while.
Pablo Madrid Akantor weapons have a good amount of Green in MHXX, so blunt edge will most likely be run with Akantor weapons. That is if Blunt Edge isn't nerfed or underpowered
I remember back in 3U I wanted to make one of the Lagi weapons, I think it was the lance. I broke his horns every single hunt and it took me over 100 hunts to get all 4 horns that I needed at a 42% drop rate (HR Lagi for Lagi Horn+). Every so often I would look up the drop rates just to make sure that it wasn't actually 0.1% and was completely dumbfounded that it took so long to get them all.
Okay, years ago there was a channel that did MHF2/MHFU monster guides that always used the Requiem for a Dream track like this video. I can't recall the channel name but it was really helpful and the song started to grow on me. So I dug it here.
That song takes me back to that one channel who uploaded FU monster guides on how to dodge moves and catch their tells. Honestly more useful than anything I’ve seen for any mh game

Man, you missed out. Gen is super fun and when MHXX drops, all the experienced players will instantly be G Rank because most save data carries over. You might as well blow through Gen now, get used to Styles, and have some armor sets ready for MHXX

I spent about 30 hours doing Sakura runs solo, and finally got a Sharpness +5 OOO charm. And to my surprise, it came with it a Blunt +6 and some other skill OOO charm! I was so happy! Now if I can only get a Tenderizer +5 OOO...

(and i'm a night owl and i spend each night just playing so i did that quest for over 600 hours until i finally got it.) And then a week later, my game formatted.
Ugh, remind me. I still need quite a few dream charms. Artillery 9 000 Tenderizer 5 000 Evade Distance 6 000 Recoil 5 000 And the same Attack talisman you want Herny.
My worst charm run was when 5 old, 5 iron and 5 mega pick axes were either broken or stolen by the time I got my 8th coal. I had to abandon because it just wasn't worth the time to get mats for new ones.
Sometimes I wonder If I have what it takes to be a TA guy.. then I realise I need god charms and 100s of hours of coal hearted. I'll solo anything naked but I refuse to put myself through that.

I haven't even picked up an atk+ 5 O lol. I thought at first the quality of charms you can get go higher when your HR goes up too but that was wrong. It's just RNG screwing around. Still don't have: Tenderizer +5 OOO Cold/hot blooded +5 OOO Normal +5 OOO SW / DK + 3 OOO and the same charm you're looking for..
For me, theres one thing missing in the end. A picture where you see an attack +9 three slot Talisman. Ultimate Troll and Ive been there way too often :D
Just so you know, taking smoke bombs for rajang and bullfango, as well as sonic bombs for remobra can help ease some of your pain. Unfortunately, I don't think it can heal the hole in a hunter's heart. ;_; Also, avoid areas 5 and whichever one had the cats, those areas just slow you down.

I somehow managed to get a +10 dragon defence ooo and was really salty because I really didnt need it
but wait, there's more. attack skill can only appear in the second slot. so it's lower than that.

I always bring Palicos along on these runs. They can really help keep the annoying little monsters off your back while you focus on hitting the rock.
The only time I got a charm that's anywhere near attack+10 OOO is my expert+10 with one slot I think.
