My theory is Walter was around too many meth fumes from the night before and he was contact high in this episode 😂😂

That's very plausible. I've done (in retrospect) some really weird stuff as a result of residual intoxication.

People are too hard on this episode. So many sad and stressful things were going on and it was nice to have a break between it all.

People don’t like this episode? This is honestly one of my favorite episodes.

It’s widely regarded as the most disliked episode by its fans. But we have to remember that this was a time where Skyler was unfairly hated on so much so some of the show’s criticisms have been dated and newer fans are much more forgiving of her and from what I’ve seen from re-act channels get a kick out of the fly episode.

@@HeadbangingGlory Personally I loved it. There was so much going on in the show at the time between so many characters it was very nice to have an episode that was more of a breather from all the drama and just dialog between Walter and Jesse. I liked how the episode expressed Jesse and Walter’s relationship.

@@HeadbangingGloryHonestly, it’s not that Skylar disapproves of Walter’s business, that’s totally understandable, but the way she goes about everything is so passive aggressive and petty. Even at the beginning where she suspected something was up with her cancer-ridden husband, she was go on petty-revenge episodes to get him back. It’s just her personality, I find it so annoying. I like Marie a whole lot better than Skylar, which is saying something.

Breaking bad first episode: "Jesse and Walt kill two men and set a fire in the middle of the desert while making drugs"
Breaking bad season three random episode: "Jesse and Walt spend a whole day trying to kill a fly"

It's funny how Walter couldn't let himself to work neither with Grey Matter, nor with Gus, even if both of these business would have bring wealth to him and his family.
He just wanted to be the man at the core of everything and his ego destroyed all he worked hard for. This is some sort of a curious and funny irony, isn't it ?

Currently watching BB, I realized that Breaking Bad is basically a documentary about a bratty prepubescent 16 year old emo girl, who whines complains about everything & everything 24/7.
Starring, Dr, Phil, as Saul Goodman
      lol

Gilligan is working on a potential spin-off series, set in an alternate reality in which Walt and Skyler took Saul's advice and invested in the Laser Tag business. He's calling it ... tentatively ... "Lasing Tag." Basically the business becomes so successful that Walt is able to get out of the meth business completely, hires Jesse to run the operation, and they all live happily ever after. Well, until Walt dies of cancer, obviously.

He didn't want to let go of the one thing he thought he had control over. Simple sanitation and producing a quality product as he's walking on egg shells surrounded by killers who would off him in any second if the product doesn't meet their standards. At this point, Walt was Gus's prisoner.
