This yacht is one of the most incredible, unique yachts ever built! It really looks like a battleship - So badass. The owner is a Russian Steel Magnate, second generation. This yacht really presses the limits of design and style. Definitely my new favorite. It used to be Yacht TIS, but this is my new favorite. I wonder what the inside layout and design looks like. I can only imagine! The amount of money you have to have to own one of these. I would say its in the realm of $400 Million to design and purchase. And also wait. There are only so many of these Lürssen can actually build. Then 10% running cost. So, around $50 Million per year to operate. Maybe a crew of 40 to 50 full time staff. Its like running a small Corporation! IMPRESSIVE TOY!!! KUDOS TO LÜRSSEN YACHTS in Northern Germany!!!

I love the bridge design, with enclosed bridge wings and positioned high up. If you compare this to Flying Fox which has the bridge on the main deck level, that must be difficult to visually navigate from. I don't normally like these super large yachts (100+ meters) but Nord is absolutely stunning and I'm making an exception. I'd want this tomorrow if my name was Musk.

That guy must have been an army pilot that's how they land on Navy ships come down even and then go sideways and land naval aviator they just come straight in and set it down
Not that hard once the pilot has had it confirmed anti air missile and dazzle lasers have been switched off.

They clearly wanted to make sure everyone knew the name of the yacht no matter which angle you were looking at it from. The Nord on the bow in particular is extremely unusual.

There are only so many times you can do “The Rock Run” carrying a soggy before it loses its appeal, so I can easily picture some bright spark trying to do an impersonation of Buster Crabbe, but with the “expected or else” happy ending.

Yacht costs about $500,000,000 so take 10% of the total ship cost and put towards annual maintaince cost. So a year would be $50M, or about $140k a day

Isn't this the boat owned by the daughter of Walton of Walmart. If so, she keeps having to stop at ports to ask if there's a Walmart in town. She wastes more boat fuel going from port to port , all because she needs something from Walmart and she refuses to get her wanted items from anywhere else.
