what a pain :( Just for fun, I just went ot the Ezys site (and even downloaded the app to see if the process was "streamlined") - it isn't, lol - those of us who are foreigners don't have a mobile-id or bank info, so we will still be stuck going to an outlet to get a sim ... kinda stupid, in a way - here, in the USA, if you want a local sim (something we don't do as much as is done in europe), you can get one from Walmart, but to "register" it, you simply go online and fill out all the info, no need to show an ID in person. meh - I don't like the way it's going to be in LT - going to be a huge pain for me (our phones don't suppoer E-Sim, so , thats not an option ) - good info, but not happy about it

Now phone scammers use VoIP which allows impersonating any number and no sim needed

There is a movement towards the same ban in Ukraine too. Right now 2 out of 3 main carriers (Kyivstar and Vodafone) are setting prepaid tariffs at higher prices than contracts, sometimes difference in price is more than 2 times. That is irritating, to say the least. Although, because of russia, not a lot of people who care right now

remmerber to mention, labas is the worst sim, (bite company) they are scammers, and the speeds in village is 2mbps on 4G, 3G is even faster at 10mbps, while ezys (Telia) gets from 50-750mbps on 4G, postpaid gets 1.5gbps on 5G almost all the time, as a local i can say its best to roam on Telia, they may have the lowest roaming fee as well

@@LithuaniaExplained have to mention im a telia customer for 3yrs now, love the way the VoLTE and 5G work outside LT, on almost all carriers, Ezys has free roaming data and VoLTE (HD+ quality calls as GSM did HD calls to telia only, same for VoLTE HD and HD+ to telia numbers) now too, sadly no 5G yet...

agree that bite sucks, but u cant get 750 mbps on 4g. the maximum of 4g is around 300 mbps and that's in ideal conditions. but on 5g 750 mbps is a more realistic average but 1.5 gbps is also possible if ur in a non crowded area and are near a cell tower
