Acetaminophen Linked to ADHD & Autism From Use During Pregnancy | Tylenol Autism ADHD Lawsuit

  • Autism and ADHD, two neurodevelopmental disorders which generally begin during childhood, have remained frequent subjects in news stories and information articles over the past several years. Statistics reveal that about one in 44 children in the United States is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (also known as ASD) by the age of eight. Much more frequently, nearly nine percent of U.S. children have ADHD, which is short for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder.
As these numbers have continued to rise over the past decades, researchers have been looking into prenatal factors to hopefully uncover an explanation. In what may be surprising results, 26 different studies have uncovered a positive connection between neurodevelopmental disorders in a child and exposure during pregnancy to a common over-the-counter pain reliever.
That pain reliever? Acetaminophen, commonly known by the brand name Tylenol.
If you took acetaminophen because your doctor assured you it was safe, but your child has developed ASD or ADHD, you may have legal recourse. The Birth Injury Center will post regular updates as the FDA continues to monitor and evaluate the use of Tylenol and other pain medications during pregnancy.

I wonder if researchers have been able to "quantify" how much acetaminophen a pregnant woman had to take to cause her child to have ADHD or Autism.

This shit pisses me off, as someone that "IS" autistic comorbid ADHD dyslexia OCD SPD CPTSD you don't "AQUIRE" neurological and development differences (everything is normal within HUMAN VARIATION).
You AQUIRE behavioral and attachment disorders BECAUSE of childhood experiences and environment especially when generally predisposed.
People that use us as pawns for capital are GROSS GRIFTING humans. Period.
How about we ACTUALLY talk about the effect of cortisol (STRESS INFLAMMATION) and maternal diet AS WELL AS grandmother's ALONG with socioeconomic and environmental INEQUALITIES have on a fetus. There's plenty of studies.
It's the effects of living in a FEUDALISTIC society where people are living in constant self preservation mode with constant levels of elevated cortisol which also is the leading cause of heart disease and autoimmune disEASE (diabetes fibromyalgia CANCER etc..)
If you want to "cure" autism, fix SOCIETY ECONOMY and ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION. You won't find a single genetic cause only epigenetic predisposition TO HAVE TO ADAPT TO SURVIVE IN THE MATERNAL ENVIRONMENT.....

And buried at the very end of the article, here’s these sentences:
“There is no clear indication from this study that the taking of acetaminophen causes problems… This type of uncontrolled study does not imply paracetamol use causes autism, as the reason for taking paracetamol may be the issue rather than the drug itself, and a mechanism for it to cause harm is not clear.”
TL;DR: Fake news, or clickbait. But you clicked on the article, so the Daily Mail’s cost-per-view advertisers got suckered out of another two cents.

You typed this like one of those autistic mothers I talk to who copes with the fact she didnt check her self and her habits while creating a human life.
Angers me as somebody who developed with bad knees and told it was growing pains.
But in reality it was all the sugar and corn syrups she fed me growing up that depleted my b1 and now i have to live with weak knees and bad joints.
my sister lives with thyroid issues and lots of bad problems as well.
Autism and if the kid will be gay is all determined by brain development as a fetus.
its increasing because its happened to more people.
Therefore everything that mother is or isnt doing while pregnant determines her kids genetic gifts, IQ, and overall sucess in life.
Bad fathers and mothers will kill this nation.
      Sick of unprofessional undiciplined scum.

Researchers are trying to find what autistic parents have in common but it's not a simple cause and effect. Previously they said the cause was stress, anxiety, runny nose...things all mothers have experienced. With this being one of the only safe OTC pain relievers u can take while pregnant it'd be easier to figure out the numbers asking who didn't take it. A big part of what's changed is the diagnostic criteria coupled with awareness of the signs being at yr fingertips. What was once seen as a shy kid with some quirks is now autism. They'd need to separate those cases from true classical autism to accurately indicate a rise in autism.

Or more accurately it wasn't until recently in American history that cases were more accurately diagnosed. I see no evidence of an epidemic of autism. Also these studies linking acetaminophen to autism were purely observational.

    • @mauracraddock
      @mauracraddock 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@Erick726 based on my experience as a kindergarten teacher I have to disagree. Every year I see more children with autism in my school. The numbers currently given are not accurate. Many of the children go undiagnosed as well when they clearly have all the signs of ASD. I would say at this point it’s more like 1 in 20 kids have autism. By my observation it increases every year. It’s quite shocking. I don’t know about Tylenol being one of the causes. At this point there are many know factors that can cause autism.

My son has ASD and is non verbal. Since getting him TMS treatments and putting him on an all organic diet we saw a lot of improvements in eye contact and speech. I think there are a lot of factors that impact a child’s development. Definitely our shitty diets these days makes a big difference.

@@mauracraddock I myself am on the spectrum and I have had experiences where I would get sick from artificial foods or having my tastebuds altered by them. I spend quite a bit of time reading about artificial food additives and notice that a lot of them are petroleum based. I read articles about what can cause gene damage and noticed that chronic breathing in petroleum fumes is on the list of things that damage genetics. Also do not swallow Moter oil. After studying these things it just seems pretty strait forward to me that living creatures should not be swallowing products made out of crude oil. But crude oil by products are in our food, it's in our soaps and yes drugs like Tylonal and modern aspirin. Benzene its called. before the coloring was made out of crude oil it was made out of coal tar, which is another type of petroleum. whenever I come across the bizarre Jellow recipes from the 40's and 50's that have meat and veggies suspended in a dish I just can't help but wonder if the coal tar based food coloring altered their tastebuds like mine had been in the past. Anyway thanks for reading.

All 3 of my kids have a degree of adhd. My mom used it as well and I was diagnosed with a learning disability in the 80's and later with adhd as an adult.
