Hello friends! Thanks for your patience this week, I really wanted my first Doors lesson to be one that breaks down the full tune, solo and all! Thanks so much to my patrons for the support and guidance, you can grab the official tab at: www.patreon.com/posts/doors-people-are-7251592
Wow! Thank you so much. I love the Doors, I mean: I LOVE the Doors! and your lesson made me appreciate them even more. Please more of the same same. Thank you very much! :-)
Hey thank you very much for lovely lesson. It was realy fun and healful for learning, but i think you missed open "b" in the end of the 3rd part of solo, i mean when you slide down you are showing that after that we should start with 3rd of "b" but actually you are playing 3rd of "b" after the open "b". Can you tell me wich one is correct please?
swiftlessons ❤️🎸✊🏼 Thank you so much❗️ The Doors‘s 2nd Vinyl (from 6 with Jim) is so good! Do you know the LP‘s AFTER JIM?! (I do not, but the Cover of the 7th record is „interesting“ 😆, but i don’t know the Sound and the Kind of Voice of Jim, POSTUM) ...i Love to buy vinyls all the time❤️ Ok, again -> Thanks for the time you invested ❗️🎸 Daniel.
Really didn’t teach anything. Just played it in front of the camera. Not really a lesson. It’s like watching a video on how to Ollie and the guy never explains it just does an Ollie over and over in the video.
@@appealtoreason7584 Robby's lesson is not for total beginners but for these guys who are teaching people how to play his music all wrong. Keep practicing another year or two then revisit Robby's vid, hopefully you will be able to follow along. Best regards
I am a Ukulele player, acoustic guitar player, singer song writer kind of thing with some ability to play blues and jam a bit, but I recently got asked to start playing rhythm in a band with electric guitar and I have to admit, I have so much to learn. From the right tone, to mixing the tone depending on what I am doing, the dynamics, how hard to strum, layering rhythm, harmony and melody, finding new voicings for chords, etc etc. Not only are these lessons great for learning a classic song but it really opens up my eyes into how I can layer guitar parts and add to a song with out taking away from it, I apply these ideas to progressions we play, and it helps a ton. That is a verbose thank you! Have you done any lessons on layering guitar parts? That would be great. I am going over to Patreon right now to sign up too, what a great platform for people like us to be able to teach and get help from the fans, and on and on. Looking forward to supporting your quality work man. Cheers.
This is so thorough, I'm learning it very quickly. I cannot learn by seeing fingers on frets/strings, I need things called out. Also I am left-handed and so visuals do nothing, unless I'm looking at someone playing left-handed :) Thanks so much!
Hey thanks Mustafa, that’s the goal, so glad I delivered. This song made me a better guitarist, and so it was a real pleasure to teach. Many more are on the way both here and of course via Patreon.com/Swiftlessons. Be well!
Thanks Rob. I have learned this song through other teachers on TH-cam and I can unequivocally state that yours is the most accurate and complete lesson on TH-cam hands down. Great job! You also sound eerily like Jim Morrison.
Thank you, that means a lot. This song particular, I felt, needed a more comprehensive lesson, so I was happy to provide it. I spent a lot of time listening to his isolated vocal, which is impossible to match (I don't drink or smoke anywhere near enough to have his rasp). Luckily for me, my voice falls into this baritone range, so an easy fit... but don't ask me to sing led zeppelin haha!
You sound like the younger Morrison in the Doors earlier albums where his voice wasn't ravaged by drugs or alcohol. If there is ever a Doors cover band created (like the Beatles) , I think you have Jim Morrison role clinched :).
Wow. When you said you was working on a doors track I couldn't wait but to find out its this one its made the wait all worth while, it's got to be one of my all time favourites, takes me right back to watching lost boys in my teens. Thanks so much for this its amazing. Mick v
Hey Mick, thanks for the kind message. Teaching this one was an absolute pleasure. This tune is featured in The Lost Boys? I gotta check that out. Thanks! -Rob
I’m learning from your video, I have never picked up a guitar in my life and I have already learned up to the 2nd measure, working on 3r measure a bit tricky 😂
Hey Ben, thanks for taking the time to comment. Glad you enjoyed the lesson, I sure had a lot of fun putting it together. Be well and enjoy your practice. -Rob
I'm loving your lessons, my new fav TH-cam vids. I would love an easy lesson for God's Gonna Cut you down. Bit of Johnny Cash. Bit different to some of your others, buy hey, it's a classic! Please?
i am at the piano solo part and maaaan this is a pain in the arsee to learn for me but i love that song just too much, i cant stop, thanks for this very very good tutorial, #martyschwartzteachinglvl and that is a complement 4 sure
you are one of the coolest guys on youtube...very detailed lesson...i request please that you do love e two times as well:) andd also one of my favorite songs that i ve never found tabs to it...july morning by uriah heep please
Thank you so much for this lesson man. I hope you or someone can help me with one thing. When you go from the chorus into the verse. There is a bass 'walkdown'. Do you then still strum the b7? Somehow whenever I try to play this with my band I can't seem to get this transition right. Thanks
Hey man, been following your lessons since I found out about your channel and it's really helping, your teaching method really suits me so thank you. I've been trying to learn "My Cherie Amour" by Stevie Wonder as its been in my head all day. However I cant find any good videos and all the tabs say different things, I've only sussed out a couple of chords which sound like they fit the song. Was Stevie Wondering if you would be able to teach this song some time please. Thanks again :D
any chance of a lesson on kate bush running up that hill? doesnt seem to be a easy to follow lesson anywhere! I'm really enjoying your lessons they are helping this beginner so much, thank you!
really good lesson just really struggling with the part of the intro where you strike the A and D strings together followed by the open G and A leading to the hammer on/slide. any advice on how to not stop and stumble on this bit?
I'd like to make a tutorial request... "you take me in" I think it is bob severs latest but is the perfect anniversary song! Can you help me out? I'm sure it's A G C Bm but I don't have he ear you do and he picking pattern is tricky for me too. Thanks so much look forward to seeing the lesson
I'm a big fan of both guitar and ukulele. Actually, I feel that learning the ukulele has made me a better guitarist, so I'd recommend you enjoy both instruments. Have fun! -Rob

You nail the guitar parts and kill the vocals too, Jim Morrison is a hard voice to crack!
Luv the Doors and this was a great instructional video,. Played a lot of doors over the. Years
