- Welcome to the third and final part of this tutorial!
I had hoped to publish this before heading to Essen, but it just wasn’t possible. As promised, though, here is the final step in this project.
In this video, you'll see how I worked with the two-component resin, the challenges I faced, and how I resolved them. Additionally, I'll cover the issues that came up due to the size of the scene and, once again, how I overcame those obstacles.
It's been an exhausting but rewarding weekend, and I want to sincerely thank all of you for your comments and feedback throughout this journey, both online and in person at the events where I showcased this project.

De verdad Toni te lo he dicho muchas veces aunque no nos conozcamos en persona, para mi eres de los mejores, por el cariño y el detalle que das a todo, es una maravilla como dedicas todo tu tiempo a este hobbie. Ojala algún día pueda tener algo tuyo pintado... con color jade toni por supuesto.

That must be a nerve-wracking process when you have something built and painted up so well and then you start pouring resin on it! Sergio Calvo had trouble with his first pour also. The stuff is such a hassle to work with, but can produce some amazing results.
Love the journey you took with this piece. Golden Demon is always so inspiring!
Totally, they can say whatever they want about Golden Demon, prizes, judging, etc... but the inspiration that contest gives to push you for the demon... I cant find it in another contest. Thank you very much for your comment
Toni trabajazo increíble, ya sabemos lo que tiene la golden demon (mucho nivel) y bueno ya sabes, esto para mi hubiera ganado en cualquier otro gran concurso de pintura, ahora cuando empieces con el proyecto para 2025, mide bien antes o cambia la caja de los periquitos por una un poco más grande 😜, tu si que eres una persona maravillosa, poder haberte estrechado la mano y charlar contigo un rato en las Freak fue increíble, a ver cuando te vemos por la plataforma de los directos (no se si se puede decir el nombre) un abrazo gigante

That resin pool looked like such a stressful process. I don't think I will ever be brave enough to do anything like that. You managed very well, and the end result was perfect. This is still the most amazing diorama I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing!!!

Es una maravilla de escena... personalmente no entiendo porque finalmente tuvo una valoración tan baja para lo que llevaste, pero quédate con que a todo el mundo le ha encantado. Otro año habrá más suerte, la calidad no es tan voluble como eso y esperemos que pronto se vea recompensando como merece tal trabajo!
Hay cositas que he ido viendo estos días con mas descanso y son errores que castigan mucho, sobretodo de algun rincon que no estaba pintado y cositas así, todo nos sirve de aprendizaje y esta me ha ayudado mucho para acabar de entender como funciona el Golden ,y que no hacer para el año que viene :) Muchas gracias!

Creo que es interesante ver como a veces se puede liar con el tema de la resina y otros problemas para poder enseñar que no hay casi nada que no tenga arreglo, casi xD

Toni, he visto en insta q andabas bajo de moral pero para mi has ganado el golden demon, con este contenido super didáctico y agradable, me encantaría que siguieses a tope con los videos ! y que sigues disfrutando e intentado cosas nuevas

Man...that was stressful to watch. Excellent recovery. It's like resin has it's own Lovecraft type of malign intelligence and does whatever it wants....sometimes it behaves, sometimes it wreaks havoc. Great piece and I really think you should have at least nailed the bronze after seeing the competition. x

Why you did not do the whole pour with UV resin?
The UV resin for big pools like this I think it wouldnt work, I tried to do it before and the down layers didnt get the UV light enough to get Dry and all is a mess, and also if you try to do it by layering, it leaves some marks and looks a bit awful... It would be much more easier! ^^

I know competition was amazing, but still don’t quite know how you didn’t place with this…
There where many small mistakes and non painted areas I just discover the days before (sometimes you are foucsing on the main view and the miniatures and forgot small details that are very high punish in this contest). So all cool, next year I will try to do it better!
La resina por catalización de rayos uva te hubiese venido mejor 😑
Nunca la he probado para zonas tan grandes, la unica vez que lo hice las capas inferiores no se secaron bien ya que no podian recibir el UV del todo y me desplazaron todo el resto, así como el secado por capas parece que deja algunas marcas... quizás será question de probarlo en un futuro, ¿a ti te funciona?
A ver....a mí me funciona. Voy por capas muy finas y uso una lampara de uñas. Duplicó el tiempo de exposición y mucha paciencia que es la parte que me falla 😔
