Awesome that you give thanks to God Your parents raised you well Raise your children the same God always first God bless n congratulations on your birds n pistol
Sheesh I have been looking for sooty grouse for forever in Oregon! Great job finding them without dogs too! I have two dogs and can't seem to find sooty grouse (blue grouse)
Heads up, do a simple brine on the grouse, about a hour to two hours then rinse off any of the brine on the surface and it will be moist as store bought chicken. Or you could even do beer can grouse, works just as well. Good Hunting!

Naw. He was on a logging road with zero traffic so he's good. Perfectly legal and if there aren't any vehicles, perfectly safe to shoot a grouse with a shotgun.
@@jimmy2thymes916 Publicly owned and maintained road , logging or otherwise. I Dare you to sit on a logging road and as soon as a DNR or Forest Service or State police rig pulls up behind you start shooting down the road… totally illegal

It seems like those grouse always seek out the thickest woods to be in. Great job on having success!

Thank you! It took a lot of years and practice to be able to find these birds
Same thing happened to us a few weeks ago. One Little Rock sounds like the axle is coming apart!
Congrats on the birds and the new piece ;)
Thank you boss 😎
Nice video congrats on your hunt. I need to take my son out there soon. Where is that location? i see mt hood in the background. We are from newberg.
Thank you. I am in the logging roads around the Detroit area. these grouse are everywhere though. I’ve seen them all over oregon on logging roads
@@mishkaoutdoors thank you! ✌️
Honor thy father
I swear every time I see one on the road, my shotgun is still in the trunk and it's gone by the time I get it out.
Might want to keep your shotgun up front.
Leave the skin on pluck the feathers then it wont be dry .. skinless= flavorless dry meat
Thanks for the tip

Shooting straight down the road? Bad idea
