Lilly, I was wondering if your list has them reacting to Rosy, Sea saw, Girls Talk, and D1? Because I (and many other orbits) really feel that those are as strong if not stronger than the yyxy solo title track songs. Those four songs + "puzzle" + "heat" always have people shook. And having B-sides that are that strong is part of the allure of Loona :) P.S. Thanks for helping them on their loona journey!

They covered full moon because they're called LOONA which means moon lol. Everything they cover is connected to the lore. They covered Cherry bomb by NCT 127 because they reference Choerry's Love Cherry Motion. They covered GOT7's Eclipse referencing Kim Lip's song with the same name, they covered BTS' fire because they were going to release a comeback named "burn" but it was scrapped but it was then referenced in their most recent comeback "so what' with the intro saying "burn yourself" Their company, BBC really puts an effort to release content that's interconnected with their lore. It all comes back to their narrative which I find fascinating.

fun fact: yves is a huge fan of sunmi, and had even sent her fan letters and gifts since becoming an idol herself, which sunmi recieved so i can only imagine how happy yves was to get to cover a sunmi song on a huge music show❤️
Kpop is an industry, not a sound. Kpop is basically idol music. That's why you can listen to Korean indie-pop that isn't Kpop, because the artists aren't idols. The Kpop industry uses all sorts of music genres within itself. Loona is Kpop because they are an idol group within the idol industry.

yeess!!! thank you so much for reacting to LOONA! I wanted to recommend you guys check out, Sunmi's former group, Wonder Girls as a band!! Four of the members (including Sunmi) learned instruments and each helped compose for the album Reboot. The members included were Yeeun (keyboard), Hyelim (guitar), Sunmi (bass), and Yubin (drums). Their sound became very 80s band inspired with the whole retro pop rock sound. While unfortunately they didn't last long as a band, they released 2 mvs with different sounds, along w/ a full length album and individual teasers of them playing instruments. They also did an amazing live set on Yu Huiyeol's Sketchbook where they played their classic songs and their (band) song, "I Feel You". made a lil playlist as well /playlist?list=PLwd2iu68M9GcnMFXgrnxq3iZlDY_QEXBw (hope you guys havent watched them though T-T)

But I think the person was driving (A) to kcon last year and the other car (B ) actually hit them head on while they (A) listening to Loona spinning their car out of control. Idk if they were drunk. There is another video where two cars are driving side by side bumping Loona too around the same time as kcon.

Ah I think that's a thing in general that kpop artists do. Not always ofc but mostly(actually i cant think of an extra cover by a kpop artist), like they stick to showing themselves and not overdoing the song.
Yeah late comment but yes, Sunmi is well respected in the Kpop industry as she's part of the 2nd Kpop group generations (Wonder Girls). You guys need to watch Wonder Girls during their band era (I Feel You and Why So Lonely) next time!

yall should react to babymetal. They're not kpop, they're j something, but they have a really unique mix of like, metal and (cutesy) pop (at least in their earlier stuff, I'm less familiar with their more recent content lol)

Agreed, K-pop has become more of an umbrella term for Korean music, than an actual genre. it's more about the K than the Pop.
I've been into kpop for about 7-8 years now and I'm wondering what makes an artist an idol. I'm still confuse, but curious to learn.
Hayu usually ones that train in dance as well are considered idols
Hayu idol is idol group (dancing, performance, different talents and skills)
Artist is solo/band (BOL4, IU, Ailee...)
Basically idol is in a group
LOONA's "Hi High" and Dreamnote's "Hakuna Matata" are probably the two most high energy kpop songs.
