I think you did a great job on the recording sequence and arrangement! Im a rock old fart and had the baby brother of your fostex back in the 80s (fostex x-15) when they were the thing. I just purchased a cajon on the strength of this video. I'm sick of drum machines and love the percussion arrangement you did on this song. Great song !
I add the the most amazing workflow whit these .when i was young... it forces you to push creativity because you can't waste time fidling whit gear......after that I've gone true the all DAW... my final opinion... DAW for recording.. but inspiration, demo and creativity..... a little 4 track whit a cassette is the best workflow there is... 👍 And yeap... the shaker is a essential 😂😊
Great job, I would have loved to hear that scratch track. Those are all lost to history. Occasionally I have thought about firing up my old Fostex and trying a song, but honestly my crap sounds much worse than this even using my best equipment. I do remember sometimes bouncing a guitar and drum to the left and another guitar and drum to the right. It would sound pretty good but then I'd only have two tracks left for bass and vox.
Dude, is YT collecting data from our dreams now? Last night I dreamt I was trying to listen to a song on a cassette and now I wake up and get this in my recommended videos. Last time I even thought about a cassette was 20 years ago when I was a kid, I never looked that up online. My predictive text didn't even have the word in its vocabulary.
Yep, its great, everything I like, retro without being too cliche, even though its cliche. More please.
This is great.

We used these things when l was a kid, not for a its "great character and sound," but that's all we had to work with and could afford...
Duuuude, this was so awesome!
Thank you so much! (I'm still learning video making) 😬
@@trashfuzzaudio you’re totally nailing it as far as I’m concerned.

I try to avoid stereo wherever possible on cassette. That's useful real estate.

There hasn't been a more fun way to record in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
You’re not the first and won’t be the last, but you’re 30 or so years behind.
Thanks for watching!
