Another thing that helps after you do all of this first, are taking quality photos to post. I always hate seeing pictures on marketplace that look like they were taken with an old iPhone 3 or something along those lines. Quality pictures will always help you make a good sale, atleast in my experience.
I agree, but the car also has to look like what is being shown in the picture for the most part. I’ve looked at cars before and seen the pictures and they were really clean and when I get there, the cars are dirty as heck.
I restore RC Cars and Helicopters. Mostly for myself. This is a really good video! The ones i restore are mostly rustbuckets, which take a week or two ( Most of the time i take it easy and give myself 3-4 weeks ) to get back to almost brand new condition. I strip them apart like you did and clean every little part, including the screws and other small bits. Maybe order some parts if i can find them. And often I just design and 3d print some parts to keep the vintage stuff alive. I use chrome and aluminium cleaner, plastic restore, all sorts of oils and fluids. Polish and all sorts of cleaning supplies. It is so much work, but it is my hobby. I work on the vehicle for a week and then I'll see some progress. And then i just keep going and going. And when the project is done. I can finally enjoy it. By looking at it or even flying and driving the vehicles. There is one helicopter that i own, which i bought for very cheap because it looked like it was long gone.. bit of elbow grease and yup. Turned that $100 shit into a $500 beauty! So much fun!
@@whirlybirdrc Nice, I appreciate you sharing as well. I enjoy the maintenance and cleaning aspect of the hobby also. It is very satisfying when you see the finish product. I appreciate you watching, thank you.
I'm telling you guy, one of these days I'm going to get into trouble from work from your videos. As soon as I get your video notification I start watching it right away even while at work. So work comes to a stand still when I get a rc revealed notification. 😊
@RCREVEALED keep it coming love your videos bro!!!! Can't wait till next year where you review cars that are yet to be released. I know traxxas always hold new releases for January.
Another Awesome video...! Thanks for showing us how you get your Rc's so clean. And you are correct, if you are selling your Rc's and want to get top dollar, clean them up. Even if you are selling a used RC, the person that's buying them, it's New to them...! Keep up the Great Work.
You take care of yours like I take care of mine. Like you said you can get a good return on selling them when you want to and they last. Like mine to look good too. These big ones are expensive to get. Great videos watch them all good job.
Also putting new electronics escs and motors I noticed helps too I know it gets my attention when I see a brand new hobby wing or castle system in it fresh electronics go along way to selling used cars but also the beast pro mini 1/16 truggy you think some time you could do a couple more videos on that upgrading it and taking it too a track I see no videos on TH-cam I’m actually asking for one for my birthday coming up in February I’ll do a few videos on it but gotta get my backyard track too more than finished want it looking good for TH-cam may get baseball field chalk too do the outlines of the track with the hoses so it can also be seen clearer but yea man love the videos I hate seeing stuff on Facebook or eBay were they don’t clean there Rcs at all, all dusty and dirt covered all over them no one’s going to want too clean that.
Love these videos! Cleaning and maintenance is something I absolutely enjoy in this hobby. I don't have an xmaxx and what is your opinion on keeping an xmaxx as a long term rig? Also I love that grey coloured xmaxx, can you share what colour code it is? I would like to get my maxx hd body painted in the same way,
I will always keep an X-MAXX in my collection. Also not sure what color the grey one is. I bought that body like that from someone. I appreciate you watching, thank you.
@@mustangguy3706 lol. You could have your X-MAXX stripped down and rebuild and cleaned in one day. Sounds like a weekend project. You would feel a lot better if you did it, lol.
The Red X-MAXX is not for sale, but I may be selling a few in the future. If I was to sell it, probably 700-800 in this condition. Thank you for checking out the video.
@ it looks good I have sow them a lot worse and messed up and really dirty but I really didn’t think it was that bad. I got me a really nice rampage after I sold u the xmaxx.
Lol ,that's the cleanest dirty rc vehicle I've ever seen , you need to show a really good exsample of really dirty rc car, I have a winter runner which I hardly clean, I normally wait for any mud to dry and brush it of around wheel bearings , use a hair dryer to remove any moisture and then lub , the rest of the vehicle gets a light brush down .The way it looks no one would buy it if they were offerd it up for sale lol . That XMaxx would only get a drush down and a wip down with a micro fiber cloth and It's good .
Step 1: Take good care of it. Step 2: Don’t drive it like it owes you money 😂
Step 2 is my favorite part though! Lol
@ 🤣

Well said lol 😆
Wd-40 shines up nice too
