as someone who moved apartments in March - the part about thinking of your old apartment a lot resonated with me! I still think about it a lot and remember little things - like how the sun shone into the kitchen or the way the curtains moved in the wind, the time we brought our cats home, our christmases - everything, but I’m no longer sad or missing it, rather just bathing in that feeling of home
Sometimes I struggle because I feel like I should feel more at home in my new apartment after six months but truthfully it takes some time and most importantly for me - making memories! And that’s gonna happen before you know it and I’m so excited to watch it unfold 💖

I’m a real one! Your new apartment looks amazing. I cannot wait to see it once you have it all decorated. I actually moved from Oklahoma City to Albuquerque with my cat about three years ago. My vet had given her a mild sedative the morning that we started the drive and she pretty much slept in her carrier the entire time. It was just so stressful and exhausting so I completely understand what you went through.
