You guys were struggling in the video to think of reasons not to get the Thor, but it seems pretty obvious to me, the Thor is the poster child for coated mousepads. Over time with extended use that coated surface will wear down and slow down and will become uneven since the middle will likely wear down faster than the rest of the pad. The Aqua Speed is uncoated and should be more durable, it is a bit slower, but that also give you more control while still being plenty fast.

does the aqua speed pad have a coating, and if so, does it wear out?
Does cleaning the Thor give it all the speed back? Or does it still stay slow in that spot? Also, how do you clean your mousepads?
i recommend asking customer support because every mousepad company recommends different way, and if u wear out the coating it will stay slow
