I have the GE Cafe CC2S950 gas range. From new(2020 or 2021), the front right burner on simmer up to number 2 setting where flame is still low would cause the sensor to think the flame is out and would activate all spark ignitions of all burners 1-2 times every minute. Cannot use it on simmer. Had tech out 3-4 times for this. They tried to add a ground cable to another burner (front left burner) and it seems to have helped. ALSO a very bad design flaw is that the exhaust vent for the oven, which operates when the oven is on and for several minutes after the oven is off, located at the rear right blows horizontally across the right two burners. If you are using those burners when the exhaust is operating, the blowing air will blow out the burners unless on medium to high flame. But then the flame is not uniform and dancing all over the place due to the exhaust air flow. To some extent, it also affects the flame on the middle burners. When the rear right oven exhaust is operating, I must use something thin and upright and police it at the rear of the right cast iron grate to block the airflow if using the burners on the right. The the exhaust will blow upwards. I use my stainless steel stove top round burner covers. No fix from GE.
Although beautiful, I'M SO UPSET will all my Cafe appliances, at 3yrs old GE Cafe oven's motherboard died & GE cannot/will not repair it. WE WERE TOLD by GE they would give us $250 credit towards new purchase. The GE Cafe induction cook top WORKS Intermittenlty. The GE cafe convection/microwave oven have issues: cook top only works intermittenly. The convection/microwave oven interior door seal is pulling/melting away. My beautiful french door refrigerator freezer drain freezes over and thus leaks. :( lemons...

I purchased the Café Refrigerator, 28.7 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French-Door, model #CGE29DP4TBW2 while at an appliance showroom. What I did not know is that the refrigerator is not completely white. The sides are painted black. I do not have a cabinet sleeve to put the refrigerator in, so black sides are an issue for me. Be advised that they do not make add-on white side panels for this model refrigerator.

After spending 10,000 dollers on Cafe appliances to find out there are no instructions,or recipe books with them because (our company has gone green and no longer offer them,except as digital) is crazy. 1200dollars for under powered microwave 950watts output, cannot get airfryer to work correctly. Now we have a beautiful microwave, plus a ninja airfyer on the counter. Took a while to figure out the two drawer dishwasher but with no instructions we got it to work but without the (features). You would think the range would have a nonstick griddle, not so. On the refrigerator, the ice maker has a very small container, we buy extra ice for family gatherings Everything with these appliances is trial and error.
Cafe Appliances are gorgeous. Unfortunately, they are not available (back order) or discontinued and I am wondering why. Another issue with microwaves is that is 300 CFM (not 400 CFM), not powerful enough for me.
They are not worth it. Do not purchase. I did and nothing but broken appliances. WASTE OF MONEY. My cheap 700.00 stove worked better than my 3200.00 range. Its crap and GE will not stand by their products.

Question: How can I break in or de-gas my cafe brand electric double ovens so they can safely burn off the oily chemical coating that manufacturers use? So I can keep my ovens from smoking up the whole house? Thank you.
You should definitely break in your new oven! Turn on your vent hood and, if possible, open a few nearby windows. Set the oven to high heat, between 400 to 550 degrees then let it run at this temperature for between 30 minutes and an hour. Hope that helps!
We decided on "G.E. Cafe' " since we wanted white. Many companies only have stainless steel. Also, "Whirlpool" has taken over other major brands such as "Kitchenaid" and "Maytag" are just "Whirlpool" with a different name on them. That shouldn't be allowed as the "Whirlpool" brand is crap!!!
@@DesignerAppliances I am wondering if a stainless steel cooktop is hard to keep clean. I would prefer enamel coated porcelain but the Cafe slide-in dual fuel in stainless or white have stainless steel cooktops. Only the black one has porcelain enamel.
MAY BE DEFECTIVE...DO NOT BUY. Bought a new GE Cafe range 2 years ago. Was delivered with defect that has re-occurred twice since then. GE refuses to refund me or replace the unit. Do not waste your money or time researching further. This store is probably just fine, but definitely buy a different brand. GE products reliability sucks and their customer service is even worse.
Do not buy the GE Cafe refrigerator. It looks beautiful but it will only cool from 41-51 degrees at best. It is the worse refrigerator I have ever owned. GE will do anything to NOT replace it. I am 65 and have owned many refrigerator's over the years GE Cafe is the worst! Buyer beware.
My GE Cafe fridge is literally the worst product ever purchased. The freezer fan makes howling, airplane-like noise all days. Multiple repair people have replaced parts and nothing has corrected the problem. Stay away from these products.
So far. This GE Cafe is a beautiful stove. It cooks fast a Has a beautiful top well made better than any other stove top . If your going to make a bad review please add why!
In general the CAFE ranges and refrigerators are top notch (very reliable, even heating, powerful, good features), similar to the GE Profile versions they are based on. The dishwashers are decent, but the Bosch 800 series or the Miele 7000 series are the best options for mid/upper tier (~$1200 to ~$2000).

I have the GE Cafe CC2S950 gas range. No, the glass models only have exterior water dispensers. If you want internal, you'll have to opt for the french door CWE19SP4NW2 or CWE23SP4MW2.

The top end CDT875 is very quiet and get to as low as 39dB for some cycles.

Cafe's gas cooktops with top controls are stainless steel. Their rangetops (with front controls) are porcelain enamel. Hope that helps!

This is slightly misleading since the upper oven of Cafe doesn't seem like having convection function, but just the lower oven.

Our Cafe' Fridge is Junk!!! Dont do it - Stops cooling for No Reason and Ices up the Evap coil repeatedly. Garbage.
