    I just watched 3 haircutting videos, in a row, because I want to cut my husband's hair, so I'm not trained at all. Your explanations were valuable, concise, made sense and provided some of the theory behind haircutting without going too technical. It was actual, valuable information conveyed simply and clearly. Excellent video!

    I had to learn to cut my son's hair during quarantine. Always had trouble with the top. I really like this video. Simple, straightforward, nothing complicated or too technical. Pefect for those of us who were forced to adapt to the circumstances. Thank you!

      Sure I’d love to see what your sons hair looks like 😂 barbering isn’t simple watch one video then your good to go -?? Takes practice like any other job . For example someone who made a how to throw a punch properly could make it seem simple or easy enough but that doesnt mean now your ready to jump into a boxing ring in reality is it takes practice! You would be better off buying clippers using a # 5/6 blade to keep the length and at least it would be even - scissors control the length Better but you need to know how to use them .

    I chose this video as a guide to cut my daughter's boyfriend's hair this morning, as his hair is very similar to this guy. When I finished he told me this is exactly what he has always wanted, but no one has ever done it before. He told me I gave him the best haircut of his life! I am so happy that I got to do this for him! Thank you for the instructions, so clear that an amateur like myself can follow it with success.

    Do you have a preference as to starting on the sides are starting at the top I mean I know it's depends on the style of a cut but overall do you have a preference as to which you start with and why? Any recommendations on shears or combs.... would you mind doing it tutorial on the back just cause I know there's so many ways to do it but I don't know I have been having trouble when it's layered in the back and there's a little bit more weight on the crown. Love you videos they always help me switch it up just a little! And I totally agree with you on that detail, everyone thinks it's just cause I'm a girl that cuts hair that I get tipped d more but it's because I pay attention to detail, the few extra minutes the client talks my ear off is the few extra minutes I make sure to get the job done right!

    • @DavidFalla
      @DavidFalla  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching and commenting. I always start by cutting the top first then I do the fade or the sides. I feel that by sides first and then the top you have to kind of te do the fade to blend with the top so it’s like doing the job twice. As for the shears and combs, I use YS park combs and some cheap shears which I will be upgrading this year to Mizutani shears. Attention to detail is the difference between a good barber and a great barber

      Hello and thanks for watching. The truth is that it all depends on what you like and what you are doing. I can only speak for me but I use 5-5.5 inch shears for precision or finger cutting and 6.5 or 7 inch for shear over Comb. I hope it helps

    • @DavidFalla
      @DavidFalla  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well this is a very basic way and there are many ways to cut the top. Cowlicks tends to respond better when there is more length so you gotta try to over direct where the cowlick is to creat length
