You guys are too funny. He says "I want to cut less". Next breath.... " Let me show you my expansion ". Us old fellers never say never. We just do it. Great video Chris!
Kenny is an animal with all that wood!!! Both of you guys at your age are the hardest working guys!!! They don’t make people like that anymore!!! I love it!!!!
I believe the only time Kenny stands still is when you want to talk about his wood! 30 cord a month and isn't even trying!😮 I hope his dreams of a new woodyard all come into place soon and work out even better for him! Thanks for taking a minute to show us what all you have been up to!👍
Ken new wood yard will be so nice after he gets it finished. Having all his wood in one area will be so helpful. He sold so much wood this year which is a great thing. - Tyler
Good morning Chris and Kenny!!😀😀 Good to see Kenny is still ahead of the game. Him and Leroy get a lot done just messing around!! LOL!! Take care guys!!😀😀💚💚 Logger Al
Hopefully Kenny 's new woodyard will serve him well!! Y'all really need/want less, but want to make your customers happy. Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Someone has been very busy. I'm glad to hear that Letoy is up and about. Congrats in the new land and goid luck sith the new yard. Anothet great video Chris.
The way Kenny was felling and limbing the trees in yesterday's video, he could give the young bucks a run for their money if he went flat-out. Was fun watching a seasoned veteran of the woods take care of those trees. I can see Kenny getting a processor to keep doing firewood well into his 70s.
Ken really processes and moves a lot of wood. That keeps him busy. Now we know where you get your drive for processing wood. It is in the family blood.
Jeff from East Tennessee! Setting here at 65 degrees in late December! It’s getting warmer every year! I just cut about a cord of oak and maple! Got it stacked out of the way!! Got dry wood stacked up along one end of my garden. Got to move it because some little rotten animals going under it into garden!! Trying to finish a fence around a 80 by 90 feet area!! It seems like you never have enough space!!
You guys are so Awesome! I love this video. No one in Northwest Iowa has this kind of inventory, no one. My goal is to get better. Thanks for this topic!
Very nice wood inventory. Nice property too. And you and Ken need to hit Saginaw bay walleye fishing. Then head east to the st Clair river walleye fishing in may or June. Guarantee a limit then in algonac.
Late getting to this video, but I laughed at Ken's answer to "this is one solid block, how does it dry in the middle?" "It'll be fine". Let's move on 😁
I like the people the middle of February that need wood delivered and it’s -20 and they say I thought I had enough to get through the winter. And 2 days earlier it was 30 degrees.
I really like your videos. I don't know if there's anyone left in Wisconsin. I think it's all in the wood yard haha. You two are amazing. Stay safe, stay well. Happy new year!
It sure is nice to see a totally different way of processing firewood. Large pieces that Ken makes, he really has moved out a lot of wood. Chris do you know what he charges for a 1/3 cord lot. I am curious because here in Northern Minnesota, I have been asking between 60-70.00 /face cord and get very little response. Nice to see Kenny, he always has some barely safe one liners. Thanks for showing his wood operation.
Yup, he gets $80 a face cord. If you live in an area with lots of trees and few people you will not sell wood for a lot and if you live in an area with lots of people and no trees wood is very high $$$...supply and demand. Thanks 👍
Totally off-topic to the video (which was great BTW - always love the videos with Ken) - but I was wondering if you have insurance for your firewood business? I guess the big thing would be for your deliveries and if - God forbid - you damage something with your truck or trailer at a customer’s house. Thanks in advance!
Ken good got a few Benjamin in your wood 🪵 yard . Good ken your getting your own wood yard closer to your home . Go to watch my buddy Bjarne butler dropping monster timber in BC Canada 🇨🇦. Keep me from getting homesick 😢. Remember STICK on the ice 🧊, SAW in the wood 🪵 and RUBBER on the road . Plus THINK 🤔 SAFETY and always put SAFETY FIRST . SAFETY is in # in the forest 🌳. 😊
No not really ,my ancestors are from the meanest part of Scotland. Ken would make a good brick and block layer. Does he use a plumb bob to keep the edges neat?@@InTheWoodyard
That is a good/tough question. Very few trees would be ready to harvest in 20 years, 40 maybe. Plant what you like and want. Soft woods (pines) are planted for harvest in 40ish years for the paper industry but hardwood trees take 100-150 years to mature so it is a totally different thing. Also most hardwoods are self regenerated.
You guys are dynamo's.... My brother and I do around twenty some full cords per year for personal use and think we're doing allot... Lol... Need to step up our game... Ha..
We sell full cords too, but here in the mid-west we base wood on face cords. A lot of our customers buy 20-30 at a time. So 7-10 full cords. We can deliver.
Let's talk about "Face cords " and how they confuse the buyers. Face cord is a newer term that is confusing folks into thinking they're buy a true cord of wood and get taken advantage of by these crooks trying to sell wood on the side.
Nope. I a lot of the USA and parts of Canada a face cord is by far the most used term for 1/3 of a cord...it's the same thing (one row of 16"pieces stacked 4'high x 8' long) ... the Eastern USA has a problem with it. In other parts rik, row, rank and bush cord are used also. You can call it what you want, kinda like the terms fountain soda, pop, soda pop, coke and soft drink, all the same thing depending on your areas terminology.
The difference in price between a face and full cord should be plenty enough different for anyone unfamiliar with the term to ask questions. If you truly believe someone is bringing you a full cord of wood for $75-$125.00 (depending on price in your area). Then you were hoping to get the buy of a lifetime!
Happy Boxing Day to all our Canadian friends out there.
Canadian boy here. Thank you
Have a good one!

Very cool!👍👍
Thanks 👍

Thanks Mr. Music! Yup, for a maple syrup stove it would be great!
Alright.... got the talent back in action!

Hello there John!

Yup, he cracks a lot of things.

Thank you! You too!

Thnaks Brian, we also have 5 months of winter and -30 below zero so...
Nice video guys. As you said, "Ken has lots of firewood". Hope his expansion works out for him. GNI
Yup! Thanks!
Beer money , that's pretty cheap .
Good to see you Ken !
You got that right! Thanks!
Awesome vid that day Chris! 🔥💯👍. See you soon! Andrew from NB :)
Thanks! You too!

Thanks for the tips!
Late getting to this video, but I laughed at Ken's answer to "this is one solid block, how does it dry in the middle?" "It'll be fine". Let's move on 😁
Is does dry but it does take a couple years.
I am only 61, my dad cut wood until he was 80 so I have a ways to go yet!
Real life, Super Hero!
Thanks for watching!
Great video Chris and Kenny you two are always a laugh happy holidays 😂🙏🏽
Thanks so much for watching!
@@InTheWoodyard everyday!!
Wow, i didn't realize how much their was. Ken puts my 60 full cord yard look small..
He does work.
Damn Kenny, you got some nice wood! 😂
He thinks so!
Nice tour of the wood yard, the last few videos have been great also but I never commented on them
Thanks Larry!
Mornin Chris. Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
Thanks, same to you and yours!
Kenny, killing it.
Yup!
Great video Great info
Glad you enjoyed it!!
This is my dream yard! Lol..
Stop dreaming and start doing! Go for it!
I like the people the middle of February that need wood delivered and it’s -20 and they say I thought I had enough to get through the winter. And 2 days earlier it was 30 degrees.
Yup, it happens!
I hope Kenny has upgraded his glacier 2.0. He would be dangerous with an ultra.
Nope, he likes his big old glacier.
Nice spot. 👋
Thanks!
I really like your videos. I don't know if there's anyone left in Wisconsin. I think it's all in the wood yard haha. You two are amazing. Stay safe, stay well. Happy new year!
Thanks Ken!
G’morning Bash Brothers. Ken, you should get working… You need a processor ;) Sweet action, no doubt.
GoodNightIrene
Thanks Sir Corey!
Kenny has nice wood.
yup!
Good Morning Woodhounds!!
Hello!
Merry Christmas 🌲🌲🌲
Same to you!!
Kenny's been a busy man this year!!
Every day!
Lots of wood at Kenny’s😊
Yup!
Awesome video Chris! Do you know what those red mats are that your brother puts beneath the wood?
thanks, yup, paper mill screen for making paper.
What do you think about the tungsten carbite chains you think you could do a video on them
I used one a few years ago, hard to sharpen and not worth the extra cost to me.
It sure is nice to see a totally different way of processing firewood. Large pieces that Ken makes, he really has moved out a lot of wood. Chris do you know what he charges for a 1/3 cord lot. Thank you fro watching!
Chris...That is a heck of a lot of wood! Does he still use that slow-speed splitter?
Yup!!
Ken is funny hhaaha
He’s a badass
Yup, that he is.
Somebody put a STIHL 500I in Kenny's hands I won't stop until it happens.
He has ran them a few times, he said it was a saw and it cut. He is not one to be impressed with brands or sizes of things, he lets HIS actions speak.
@InTheWoodyard I have doubts about Kenny's work ethic. If anyone could run that saw like it should be, would be Kenny
Send me one
@kennethcarlson8713 if I had the pull would already been done. But not out of the question
Totally off-topic to the video (which was great BTW - always love the videos with Ken) - but I was wondering if you have insurance for your firewood business? Yes I have an umbrella policy.
Are you going to be helping Ken move his woodyard or does he have time to sell all the wood in Todd's yard.
He will sell off what he has there and then just fill the new spot.
🤘
Thanks!
Sure looks different at Ken’s with no snow.
Yup!
There's a wood man.
Yup!
I wanna see his metal detector. I need a good one.
He has a couple, they both work.

At Kens age it's Soft Wood, Not Hard Wood. But wood is wood!
One word... VIAGRA!
I'm not done with that yet
Stacking wood in Wisconsin is an art . Do you have to do an apprenticeship?
Yes it is a 10 year multi step process with Ken then 10 more with me, no pay. Do you want to sign up ? Haaa!
No not really ,my ancestors are from the meanest part of Scotland. Ken would make a good brick and block layer. Does he use a plumb bob to keep the edges neat?@@InTheWoodyard
Silly question; twenty years ago ( give or take) what trees would you plant to harvest now?

Do people buy much cedar?
No, but he does sell it for campfire wood and kindling.
Is it true that with the cooler months many people who fire wood suffer from disappearing wood?
Yup!
Ya tried but Ken aint tellin….lol
Ha!!
Hi I was just wondering how long does the Abby normal wood take to turn into Young Frankenstein😂
About one year!
Happy Boxing Day to everyone ( ty Ron
Have a good one.
Was wondering how big his dump trailer is? Did he say it would haul 3 cords?
3 face cords same as one full cord. It's a 7x12 suretrack
@@InTheWoodyard I guess I misunderstood full and face cord. My bad. Great video 's
I can haul two full chords
So you only sell face cords? Where can I buy a cord? 😂
We sell full cords too, but here in the mid-west we base wood on face cords. A lot of our customers buy 20-30 at a time. So 7-10 full cords. We can deliver.
👍🏻👏

Is firewood Ken’s full time work?
No, but Ken is retired...sort of.
What does a face cord sell for in Wisconsin? Shalom/gw
????????????!!!!!!
I depends on where ...in the country $50-80 (the sticks) in the city (Milwaukee) $120-180
Whats he got under the pallets and how's it work
Mill screen for making paper. The pallets last longer and weeds down. Water goes through it.
So a face cord is 16 inch wood 4 ft high and 8 ft long ?????
Other words half a full cord. ???😊
Yes but no. A face cord is one stacked row 16" pieces 4' high x 8'long ...1/3 of a cord.. 3 rows equals one full cord 128 cubic feet.
First 👍👍👍
Gold metal winner!
Looks like you photoshopped the thumbnail. His stack looks way different then the thumbnail. Kind of disappointed.
Yup! He sold it all....but that is what it looked like before it was sold all in nice neat pretty perfect even rows of firewood.

A cord is a cord.
Don't be lazy. If you mean face cord, say face cord.
Calling a third of a cord a cord is lying, cheating, and deceiving.
In our area EVERYONE calls a face cord a cord of a FULL CORD a FULL CORD. We are not lazy.
I like to someday buy 1000 acres to store wood
okay
you cutt wood like hell
Thanks.
let see the gurage wood stove fired up
I have in other videos.
