We went to Vivo's during our stay at Universal and found it fantastic and probably the best we had, our waiter fun fact was from NY! Keep in mind, we are from Canada so Italian is really limited.
Vivo- their steak is the better than most steak places. The salad it comes with is great as well. The pasta is hand made daily and is great as well. Only place we eat dinner at every month we go there.
I personally loved Vivo but I'm not from Florida. I've been to New York a couple times but other than pizza, I don't think I've ever had Italian food there. The only reason I don't go there often anymore is a couple years ago I thought it was very reasonably priced but the prices went up a lot in 3 years. All the pastas use to be under $20 except for a seafood pasta dish. Now the cheapest I think is $22. Once I have more money I'll go back
Great review! We haven’t been, but I’d give it a shot. You definitely need to try Trattoria Al Forno at the Boardwalk. The gnocchi is some of the best I’ve ever had!
Vivo has become a must do for us when visiting Universal. It’s so nice to walk out of the park and sit down to a delicious meal in a calming environment. The service is 5 stars always.

Have you tried Mama Della's at Portofino Bay? I think it might be a little closer to what you get at home.

There are many fine Italian restaurants in the suburban areas of Tampa.
Fresh made pasta can’t be beat. Anything boxed/dried pasta doesn’t match up.
