Great to finally see this video. At the end -Conrad Milster! We communicated all the time when he shared his references on these vessels. From them I was able to build the 'best' fleet of Hudson River steamboat models to be seen from anywhere via my birth city, Albany, New York...and then to continue the trend from New England (Worcester County). Never met Conrad but we communicated via phone and letters. A good man.
Also, The Eberles who funded this video, in part, who own three of my commissioned models, re: WASHINGTON IRVING, ROBERT FULTON and towsteamer SYRACUSE. I raise my glass to them and the other donor Mrs. AVS Olcott who's husband commissioned the model of HENDRICK HUDSON...Great people, great times.

Born and raised in the Catskills. Steamboats were instrumental to its history. Thank you very much.

Happy to know I'm old enough to remember memories of sailing with my grandparents up the North River on the Dayline.
I remember how mesmerizing watching the movements of the walking beam engine and glimpsing down engine room
staircase which was off limits, with youthful curiosity about the ships workings.

This video should be named *Ship His-Story* for the depiction of Cornelius Vanderbilt as a bad boy 👎
