Growing up in Scotland during late 70s 80s we used to love watching rikki at New year's. Must've been the time mo Johnstone moved from celtic to rangers lol Jamesie cotter as batman lol
Rikki.Loved and remembered by an old lady who left Glasgow when she was just 17 years.Can't. Enjoy New Year without him.Rest of cast are great too, but Rikki was a one off.❤
brilliant genius Scottish new year is not the same without him even after 16 years since he left this world rikki will never be forgotten because he is one of the last of the generation that protected his craft and enjoyed it for the pleasure that is gave to others .
My grandparents were Scottish immigrants. They had me watching this since I was a wee lad. They also warned me, from age 6 or so, about organized religion, the Rothschilds and the worldwide drug trade
Fun fact: the Batman scene actually very nearly happened in an episode of the old Adam West Batman TV series; except in that version, when the cop realised it was Batman he tried to tear up the parking ticket, and Batman stopped mid-chase to lecture him on the importance of applying the law to all without bias XD And that's why no modern Batman will ever live up to the OG.
The Rev W.E.Free is just comedy genius. Rikki was unique and Scotland is not the same after his passing. The piss awful stuff they put on now is a travesty.
If you can ever find it, STVs "Charles Endell Esquire" was a brilliant one season show. Rikki was in it, along with the late great Ian Cuthbertson and Tony Osoba.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?" th-cam.com/video/POO4lrTclNY/w-d-xo.html
