has to be the old pupper we had to put down this year, had her for a good 8 years and thats with her being 8 on top of it all. She was a good girl, even if she did drive me crazy with her barking.
Well, my oldest pet is older than me Is a female Chelonoidis carbonaria, my dad got her as a tiny tortoise when he was a kid, this year she’s turning 46 years old Such a pretty lady, i love her so much Is the only pet that i know since i was born And at least to me, is awesome to get to enjoy an pet for so many years and generations
By far my oldest is my leopard gecko, Steve. I was so young when I got him I don't actually remember the exact year, and unfortunately my parents don't remember either. Our best guess was late September of 2006, since he was a birthday present and I'd decided to name him after Steve Irwin, which would make him approximately 15 years old!
I've owned my leopard gecko, Vince, for the longest time. I rescued him from craigslist in July 2019 and I've had him since. Poor man was kept in a 10 gallon enclosure with no heating. Since getting Vince I continued to rescue another leopard gecko, a yellow spotted salamander, and 2 cope's grey tree frogs all from craigslist!
My Bearded dragon was 4 years old when i got him. I got him for 9 years now and he’s exactly as old as my little brother. He’s named Oscar and I love him :D
My personal longest living was Akane who passed last year at 17 yrs old. She was a black and white cat. My eldest right now is my leopard gecko, Santorma. She is around 16 years old but I've only had her for 3 1/2 years. Going by how many years I've had them it would be my crestie, Rascal, who is 3 1/2 years old but I got her before I got Santorma.
Definitely the animal we had the longest was our barn cat Nora. She was a crazy hunter that could take down rabbits but was so sweet she would visit each of our bedrooms at night when we were kids and clean our faces before going to the next girls room lol. She died when she was about 12 and we had her since I was three years old.
How exciting! No wonder you are grinning from ear to ear! In my pet family, my Bearded dragon has been with me for 13 years. He is still active and eating well.

I don't have reptiles as they where banned in my town a couple of years ago. I used to take care of a Beared dragon that belonged to my abusive ex. Sadly Draco disappeared after he attacked my ex (Draco was used to cuddle with me so my ex got jealous of his attention). Right now my oldest pet is my cat caprice who got thrown trough a window by her former human. So she been safe loved in my place for 5 year's. It took over a year for her to sleep with a human of course it was my pillow and my face that was her butt cushion. I was just so glad to have her close to me. Btw during daytime she love her young human and stay close to her so miss caprice did a lot of remote learning

My oldest animal is my paso fino gelding. I caught him the day his mare birthed him, 25 years ago. Next is my rescue cat, Pedro, 15 years. This baby does not look real! Magical! 💚🦎🐸🐢🐍

I'm quite new here so I don't know if you already have one but I would love it if you could do a care guide for uroplatus phantasticus,I haven't really seen any for them. I don't have an oldest animal but my female leopard gecko I'd about 6 years old ,my oldest would have been Luna my first ever reptile I bought and my first ever leopard gecko,I unfortunately lost her a few years ago now but if I still had her she would have been the oldest of my reptiles.

Naaw, mate, time and space have been irreparably broken this past year, and a year can now take both a decade and a day. 😉 Of my currently alive companions, Lexi, a cat we rehomed from a friend's mom, is... well, the person we rehomed her from had Alzheimers, so we only have an estimate of 6-8 years of age. That would make her 9 to 11 years old now. However, the oldest animal I've had the family cat who lived to 21 years of age. The oldest animal I've personally cared for was a cat I raised from 5 months of age; he passed in 2018 at 15. We had a family dog get to 19, and my sister had a cat reach 20. We appear to have the touch? 🤷🏼♀️

I just love them so much! Any suggestions on good resources to learn more about the mossy leaf tailed gecko? As I dream about keeping them I want to spend a few years learning about what works the best for care for these amazing creatures:)

As far as every pet is concerned, that would be my cat- Zyla! Zyla is turning 16 when I turn 22, so we have grown up together and been together for all of both of our adult lives. But when speaking of exotics, that title proudly goes to Leuci- my nearly 11 year old leucistic axolotl!

Hard to believe but the pet I’ve had the longest is my Cuban Tree Frog. I found her on my door when I lived in Tampa in 2015. Since she’s an invasive species I was supposed to humanely euthanize her but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. She’s been thriving in an Exo Terra ever since. I can’t believe she’s that old lol. Also looking at the cute baby uroplatus in the Betty Crocker enclosure I noticed they have two toe pads per toe? So cool!!
I lost my longest animal in a divorce a few years back. 🙁 She's a turtle I hatched out over 15 yrs ago. I occasionally get pics still. Otherwise my current animals are much more recent with my longest being a ball python I got four years ago. Had to start from scratch on everything.
Longest pet atm is my Original Female Monocentropus balfouri. about 10 years old.. got her as a sub adult. have 3 females from her thats about breeding age already.

What’s that green night vision camera you use? When it’s turned on does it have any dull red lights? My leopard geckos didn’t like the inferred camera cuz the red lights or something
