This. This right here. This brings back so many memories of playing DDR with my older brother. At 5 I could sing along with this entire song, I sang it so much that my family hated it. And, singing it is what got me as much practice with singing as I now have, and that is what allows me to get into higher level choirs, and also makes singing in foreign languages easier cuz I'm used to adapting to another song's language. This song essentially sculpted me to be who I am today. I love it so much ^w^
man I know how you feel! I played DDR at age 5 with my older brother too , right when it came out in 2005 . beautiful memories , brings back alot of nostaligia. the music makes me cry for some reason, in a good way !
@@lizzieblades i'm almost certain that's it. i only owned that one, and i have a lot of fond memories with it :] also wow i left this comment 5 years ago that's wild. i still listen to some of the songs now and then
I'm glad I listened to this amazing after being through depression this song always brings happy thoughts to me which is why its one of my favorite songs
Translation on jpopasia Added by: CherryRose The harvest moon, so ephemeral... As I watch the sky deepen in clear shadows the color of Chinese bellflowers The many layers of insects calling make me feel lonely - I pray they would stop Why is this place so painful to me? Is it because I lost you that day...? The harvest moon, so ephemeral Hazily overflowing with light - it was you Who found that light for me Wouldn't we always forget the time and talk the night away, Until the peaks of the distant mountains misted with morning light? Upon the ceaseless shadows, now fading, now deepening We placed our thoughts and swore to be together in the end The harvest moon, so ephemeral Will my heart forever wander like this, a small boat floating on the waters With no place to go, off forever into the distance? O harvest moon, if I could have one, just one wish granted I want to meet that person once again... Even if it were a short moment of lamplight, please wake me from this... The harvest moon, so ephemeral Hazily overflowing with light - as it filters through the clouds I think of you Ah, there fly the geese, off far away... this brings back so many memories of a long lost friend of mine. everyday we would play ddr and it was always this song Doll(Terra) and xepher i miss him so much :'(
Nice, a long version of Mugen No Hikari! ^_^ This makes me wonder: there might also be a long version of its "successor" Hanaranman -Flowers- out there...
"Mugen" CAN mean "endless" or whatever, but the kanji used in the song's title make it a different word. 夢 (mu) = dream 幻 (gen) = illusion The song's title means something like "the light of dreams" Dang otakus learning Japanese from anime without even learning kanji
I love this song, especially when I was younger, but I just reacently realized that most (or all, I don't know) DDR songs have full versions, so I scrambled looking for this ^^;
Berry 2017 here! I miss playing DDR growing up. Used to play it all the time when I was 13-17 years old. Now I'm 25. How time flies. I'm glad DDR isn't history yet and that people still remember it. :-) Idk about you, but the Japanese songs on the games were always my favorite.
I keep thinking of using this music for a quick drive at a country side but in the country I live is so small that there aren't enough roads to drive. and is full of traffic. and typhoons.
@BlackThornOfLove The general idea is that katakana is a cooler script than hiragana, which is used for boring grammatical stuff. It also sticks out more because people aren't used to seeing katakana used for particles like "no." So by making the "no" (the only non-kanji in the song title) into katakana, it's similar to capitalizing the whole song title, like MUGEN NO HIKARI except not as obnoxious-looking since it's only 4 characters in Japanese.
@KazehanaAyame Actually, the title translates to "Light of Fantasy" or "Illusionary Light." Mugen means infinity, but when different kanji are used--in this title, the kanji for "dream" and "illusion" are used.
I LOVE this song!! the lyrics to it in Japanese are so beautiful!! Also the translation in English is beautiful as well but I prefer the Japanese lyrics more ^-^ Of course I'm reading them in Romanji since I can't read Kanji ^-^' anyway, 5/5 stars for this song!! :D
@000Mariat000 Oh yeah, I love this song. This, Flowers, and Toukarenjo are my favorites from TERRA. Actually, Alfarshear is one of my favorites too because it has a sample from the 3rd movement of Beethoven's "Tempest" Sonata (Op. 31 No. 2), which I've performed on the piano before. :)
I checked My dicitonary, and That particular kanji when put together read dreams and phantasms. I think that it reads The light of dreams and phantasms. You know, it could be a song about autum or something. I don't know. Just my opinion. (I'm also an otaku, so AUGH!!!!)
@StrawberryMirror Ah. Okay. I don't know the kanji for mugen in the first place, so that mistake was my bad. I feel kinda silly now, when I think about it. I know the kanji for dream, so I should have realized. o.o;
高校時代、思い出の曲だわ…

I need to find a instrumental to this. the guitar or shamisan or something got me with the relaxing effect.
That's awesome! Keep it up. =D
Amazing how it looks. ^_^
この曲は何処か愁愛を感じる。
悲しさと恋心が織り合わさった切ない歌詞に美しさを覚える。
This was my favorite ddr song to play.. and I played it so often that I can picture the arrows as I listen to this.. ohh man this takes me back
Preach!!! I love this song playing DDR. Brings everything back.
This would've bring me back to now.

My favorite song too 😍😍😍
Bro it’s been 7 years and this song makes me feel like I’m about to topple a crime syndicate

@sailorsatelite020712 There will be a long version of Flowers on TЁЯRA's second album ЁVOLUTIΦN, coming out September 7th.
Nice, a long version of Mugen No Hikari! ^_^
This makes me wonder: there might also be a long version of its "successor" Hanaranman -Flowers- out there...
I like this music a lot! TЁЯRA rocks!
"Mugen" CAN mean "endless" or whatever, but the kanji used in the song's title make it a different word.
夢 (mu) = dream
幻 (gen) = illusion
The song's title means something like "the light of dreams"
Dang otakus learning Japanese from anime without even learning kanji
Seinaruite actually, it means infinite light
@000Mariat000 It's only the piano part, not the repeating theme in the song. And in that video, it actually starts at 1:19.
randomly found this song back in 2010? on osu! and finally found this again omg
been looking EVERYWHERE for this song!!!!
DDR rules, because I love that game and it’s songs!
@vincent9679 Yeah, I know what the song's name is.
In Japanese:

In English:
Mugen

I love this song, especially when I was younger, but I just reacently realized that most (or all, I don't know) DDR songs have full versions, so I scrambled looking for this ^^;

I loved this music but in a English subtitled song it was infinite light.

I wish someone would choreograph a traditional kabuki dance to go along with the song.
Its a nice poem to dance to indeed.
Incredible song!

love this song
I always think of my old dreams with this song playing in the background, it's funny since the name of the song is dealing with dreams
It's an arcade machine too.
I've seen a few cabinets myself.
This must be a pretty popular song, cause I know some other versions of this songs (from some other japanese Bands)
This song is addictive :P
@SuckOutYourSoul to be exact, it means "without limits" or "limitless" (from what i know :P)
@amegill "mugen" is japanese for endless or something close to that when they named it they probobly weren't thinking of this song
I'm still banging this shit in 2022 🤣🤣👍🏿
Love this song a lot. Japanese singers rocks.

@SuckOutYourSoul It's "Infinity" or "Infinite", actually. The song title translates to "Infinite Light" or something like that. ^-^
@000Mariat000 Oh yeah, I love this song. This, Flowers, and Toukarenjo are my favorites from TERRA.

この曲は和風スタイルで
大和撫子みたいです!
Beautiful song, but it's so sad.
@000Mariat000 Yes. It's actually a very sad song.
I checked My dicitonary, and That particular kanji when put together read dreams and phantasms. I think that it reads The light of dreams and phantasms. You know, it could be a song about autum or something. I don't know. Just my opinion. (I'm also an otaku, so AUGH!!!!)
@Pixellization oh, i guess that explains the kanji... thnx :)
MUGEN - Japanese meaning 'Dream' is the name of this beautiful song and an awesome fighting game! XD

th-cam.com/video/ga31L_Gd8PE/w-d-xo.html
