Good comparison of these two eyedropper pens. From what i saw recently, the "Japanese" eyedropper was actually invented by a British man when he developed a shut-off mechanism for a vacuum or piston filler. He took it to Japan and they were only interested in using the shut-off in their, at the time popular, eyedropper pens. However, in more recent years, very few have been made with it. That's my understanding, anyway.
There were some old generation YTer called "shutting valve eyedropper" as "Japanese style". I guess afterwards, all bombing to harbour before war is declared could also be called "Japanese style". Otherwise, it just didn't credit Japanese with their originality.
Hi Shanghai Knife Dude. Thank you for your review. Once again you discuss information all the other reviewers miss. The loosening, clicking C4 cap you show stopped me from buying it, and your blog post sharply illustrates the capacity reduction. Can I ask your favourite Chinese-made eyedropper, if you have one? I know it is subjective but I value your opinion.
Not many Chinese eye dropper out there really. Majohn seems to be the only one. Also, I am not a fan of eye dropper, leakage is the partner of all eye dropper without a middle rod. If you after capacity, try Majohn 136 and T5, both give you a 1.2ml tank.
Hi Shanghai Knife Dude, I really like your content very funny. Just wish you made more! I have a friend that is in Shanghai right now is there a good shop that he could buy a Majohn C4? Keep it up. Dan
