Stunning and handled with so much care!! The style of this is called seki-joju, just in case you or anyone else wanted to look it up to find more tips/tricks 😊
For those who wants to grow Avocado saplings just use plastic bottle like cut the 1/4 top part and turn it upside down and voila free vase, and before the root grows you can keep the bottle cap for less water usage
I know this video is a year old, and you may have discovered this by now, ....I started an avocado tree in soil. Just plopped the seed into a tiny pot of soil, no tooth picks or anything like that. Just stuck it in and kept watering it. 30 or so days later it germinated which surprised me. It was so simple lol. Still debating if I am going to train it as a bonsai but happy to watch it grow for now. One thing to note, I kept it in a little green house I got from the supermarket that I kept very humid, so that may have helped.
How interesting! Thanks for sharing. Since making this video I have tried several ways of growing this plant. Some are have been growing in water for over 1.5 years now! What great little plants
I enjoy the video just remember bonsai like any art people have their own way of doing things and create and things just like all art the beauty is in the eye of the beholder some may not like your trees and others will for all that matters is that you like the tree I've been doing bonsai trees for a few years so many people think they have to follow rules but in reality there is many different ways of create a bonsai and no one way is right as long as the task is accomplished
@@RootsReady hey! Would love to see how did it turn out in the end? Did you make a video on this already? Did it adapt to the new environment at the end? Maybe you could break down how you maintained it?
I have no experience with making a Bonsai Plant but I am going to give you a tip. Avocado Bonsai Plants are beautiful plants, why not paint the Plant Pot.
I like it very much congrats .I have a question .I ha an avocado plant a d woud like to do thesam. Its the stem to soft to wire it its like 30 cm tall. Coud i do it?
I would suggest only pruning the tips of the branches when the plant is still young. Sometimes when you cut too low it struggles to push out new growth

Thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to share the name. I will be looking into it more
it's great gardening , But I've always been waiting for the moment when the Avacado makes itself independent, so you whirl around with the pot👍
That looks great! Avocado Bonsai might be your calling!
Thank you so much!
I'd love to see an update!! This is exactly what I'm doing, about 3 months in. Cheers mate!
Can't wait to hear how you get on with yours!
Nice, the roots going around the ornamental rock, sold me on trying this!
I would love to compare note. Have you got at avocado plants at the moment?
@@RootsReady No I don’t have one yet but I know 1ft seedlings are sold at very low price. So I’ll try n get one this month.

Nice idea of how to bonsai avocado
Thank you!
This guy has a British/Jamacian accent. Everytime I think it's British, he starts sounding Jamacian, very interesting! Haha.
🤣 the St Lucian accent slips in every now and then. Nothing like a fish a chips with a touch of spice!
Love the rock concept. I shall try it myself! Thanks!
Have fun!

That's great! I would love to know how you get on with it
Beautiful!

Great idea. I have a little that I can try with other plants
Very excited to see the update! This looks great!

That's a great idea. I don't think of myself as much of an artist but it doesn't mean that I can't try
Your a god
😆
Great 👍. What did you mix in the soil?
Thank you! I have used mainly Coco coir and perlite. This is quite a thirsty plant so it is best kept in a substrate that can hold onto water
@@RootsReady Thank you 😊
Gorgeous plant! But how you got this butiful brench fork below - near the seed apix point?
Thank you very much!
Thank you! I pruned the plant at an early stage which made it activated a new growth point
🔥
🙏
It’s been a year, how is it doing?
You'll be glad to know that I've just released an update on this plant!
I like it very much congrats .I have a question .I ha an avocado plant a d woud like to do thesam. Its the stem to soft to wire it its like 30 cm tall. Coud i do it?
Thank you very much 😊. Yes you could but you will have to be very careful as the stem could easily break
How do i get my plant to sprout those lateral branches? Should i prune more aggressively??
Hi there! Pruning the tips help to promote branching at the lower nodes
@@RootsReady tysm for the advice, i will apply it to my routine!
How did you make those two branches?
Everytime I cut the trunk with hopes to branch out… they all ended dead.😢😢😢
I would suggest only pruning the tips of the branches when the plant is still young. Sometimes when you cut too low it struggles to push out new growth
About how old is the tree you worked on?
Hello there! This tree is under a year old at the moment
Great Job! do you have any update about this one?
I have another update on my channel from a few months ago but am planning to film another in a week or two
Did you ever do an update? I'd love to see if it worked.
There will be one coming up soon. I am hoping to get a longer term update which is nearly ready now
Hows the plant today?
Please stay tuned. There will be video coming next week
So how's it going?
