I was talking to a bar I deliver bread to and they wanted to put something new in and I said why pinball of course! This is the machine they got. After some work to it, it plays very well and is perfect for a bar. Nice review!
Something I notice from the late 80s/early 90s regarding pinball: Stern/Data East/SEGA was best known for their movie licenses. (It's all the same lineage in the end. Stern killed Stern, only to form Data East Pinball, only to sell it off to SEGA... and then buy it back.) Williams/Bally/Midway was best known for it's high skill games Gottlieb was best known for it's games that adhered strictly to Bushnell's Law - easy to learn due to it's simplicity, but difficult to master in the end, and oh-so-satisfyiing with each play.
Never played the star wars trilogy pinball by sega.It does look good as showed in the review.By the way mark, does papa have doctor who pinball ? If they do you should review that next it's a really good license table.
Thanks for ding more pinball reviews. These are my favorite! Can I request a review of the guns n roses pinball by data east if you can find one. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!
Growing up, I played the shit out of this machine at my local Chuck E. Cheese. Easily my favorite pinball machine, and the reason I always took time to play a Sega table if I found one. They do have their own feel and style.
You liked the Star wars Pinball machine have you tried the old school indiana jones pin ball machine that is on my dream list of gaming machines I wish I had someday :) The one from williams. Indiana Jones the Pinball Adventure (part 1 of 2) (a video of it on the tubes)
well, xbox one doesnt require internet connection, as well as you dont have to pay to play used games. They've recantly changed their policies and announced it on their website. Just google it and you will find out more details.
+KplKabbage I know it's a joke regardless, but 2 million is definitely not a high score on this game and especially not in some of the other games of the time.

I also find the lack of reflective surface disturbing.

I love that Data East pinball machine from 1993.
A good one, but I think the Data East Star Wars table plays a bit better.
Mark needs to get on that Apollo 13 machine. I wasted so much money on that at the local pizza place on my breaks at work.
The kids are sleeping in the garage!! Hahah
