I mean I’m a chronic game quitter but I at least got to the first sighting of the red dragon before getting too frustrated at the games difficulty. I’ve probably restarted the game more times just for the character creation alone. For reference one of my favorite games is the sims, but I think I just prefer actual dnd5e to the actual game of baldurs gate.
23:55 probably not the exact line but something along the lines of "detecting multiple leviathan class creatures in this area, are you sure what you're doing is worth it?" the second half is correct, the game genuinely asks if what you're doing is actually worth it if you do deep enough/far enough into the ocean
0:55 The more fucked part is when you’re 18 you’re given a letter saying that if an invasion occurs in the US you’ll have a be drafted if you’re the oldest male in your family

I just had a memory unlocked as you said the word Maplestory, I haven't heard that in centuries after mp2 ended. Then a server opened up based in the country that still has maplestory only for that also to end
9:27 Controller Keyboard. Fairly sure that existed because some games gave you an option to code NPC's and scripts in game when level designing. A good example of this is "Time Splitters: Future Imperfect." As there was a built in level designer where you could code scripted events including NPC behavior such as making scripted allies or npcs to behave in certain ways like running away from the player instead of fighting them or even programming a horde shooter for your levels.
I remember when you used to get games on CDs that just work and you can play the game without an update. Nowadays, a lot of gamers do everything digitally and with stores like Steam, you don't even own your games.. it is very convenient though! The AAA titles are also so complex (and often tight on their release deadline) that the time between the golden copy (state in which the physical disks are printed) to the actual global release is used to fix bugs and put the game in a less broken state, so you'd often get a huge update just when the game has released.
Dude, i grew up on xbox playing Halo, Call of Duty, minecraft, and remember the best time being co-op with friends/cousins or playing online with people i met there
9:31 this reminds me, when a friend and I rented chrono trigger from the video rental store (yeah, those were a thing at the time), and since it was a rental, we knew after we returned it we'd likely lose our save, so he begged his mom to spend the night at my house, then I planned to go with him to his house the next day and spend the night there, and we literally didn't sleep for 48 hours while played essentially non-stop chrono trigger except for food/bathroom/and traveling between houses.
Don't worry Mari, you don't need a Bible for Elden Ring. Whatever you'd get from it won't be able to offset the curve balls of difficulty and confusion Elden Ring throws at you.

About those four mobile games that you said you haven't played. I played three of them growing up. I cannot recognize the one in the top right corner. But I know Angry Birds, Flappy Bird, and Tomb Runner.
7:07 That made me so angry in Genshin, in the mission where you have to fight the Fatui guy that I can't remember the name of in the bank vault (the large room with mountains of Mora in it). I had a hard time defeating him, losing all but one of my team and using up all my food items, only for him to go "I'm surprized how strong you are!" and refilling his health bar and becoming even stronger. Because I strictly play free-to-play (I refuse to spend money on it, because once I start all my savings would over time likely go into it) I am still not back to how strong I was before, because although I've revived my whole team I haven't built up that big food reserves yet and progression gets harder and harder, with me getting redirected to the "gift shop" almost any time I want to upgrade something and not join on specific days. And aren't gifts supposed to be free? Those aren't, you can only byuy them with real-world money.
im guessing you raised the world level or i dunno, i did that quest before i raised the world level, can't do dailies anymore because enemies too strong. i think i had 20 level advantage on him and he was still tough.
@@SSJ3CyLink I'm on world level 2 since about two weeks before attempting that mission. And before that I easily went through all missions, but since then I don't get an inch forward. But the random Hilichurls and stuff you come across out in the open are still very easy to defeat.
just level up your characters, weapon & give them atk% artifacts. im an f2p too, i cleared that boss easily. don't try to blame the game. if its too easy, it wouldnt be fun would it?
@@itzkayes That's the problem, I'd have to play Genshin as if it was a paid job to be able to upgrade my characters, I just want to casually play it one hour here, half an hour there, like that. And with that it takes months until I collect all the resources, as well as that some resources can only be obtained on specific days of the week, making them even harder for me to obtain.
I grew up with the Wii, Xbox 360 (the original and the black version of the original), Xbox One, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 4, three different PC's and TV games.

10:28 I was a "left in the dust" gamer, being that I would be on consoles that none of my friends played anymore. 2003? N64. 2008? PS2. 2014? PS3. My favorite game growing up was Overlord: Raising Hell. It’s like parody game where you play as sauron and control a horde of little goblin like minions. Highly recommend that game it’s really funny.

Oh no mommy doesn't know about the leviathans o.o Subnautica is so good but also but it will definitely cause the pucker effect.
Bro, NOTHING really scares me...and Subnautica legit TERRIFIED me the first time I played through it...
She REALLY needs to play that gem of a game. Below Zero, too. Tho, I will freely admit it's inferior to the original.
