That is about Band-Maid, about the fans and about everyone else in this world. Or The Dragon Cries which is obviously about all the tragedy in our world but it is also about individual tragedy when the loss is at a personal level. Daydreaming, which many of us consider as the best Kobato-Tono penned song, is about a women who accidentally runs into a former lover. This guy is a complete jerk (we cannot go back) but his one and only redeeming virtue is he is good in bed. That's it. So our lady daydreams about a roll in the hay while making it very clear that she would only consider it if they will both get up and walk away when the tryst is over. The number of bands and artists who have recorded more songs in the eight years Band-Maid has been together is a short list. The number of artists who have recorded more original compositions this millennium is zero. The only people l have found to record more songs in the same amount of time reads like a who's who of rock music. Specifically, the Beatles, the Stones, Frank Zappa, Bob Dylan and Neil Young. Pretty impressive company and even more impressive when you realize they haven't recorded a stinker yet. Sacramento loves Band-Maid. Be well. Stay well.

I remember that Saiki once told in an interview that she later did not really like her dress during the time of the release of this song. Because she found it a bit too revealing when she would stand on stage and therefore did not come too close to the audience and risking to be seen under the skirt... so she is happy now with her long skirt. I can't understand 95% of what they are saying but it doesn't matter one damn bit. Their music is what it's all about. I love these ladies so much for restoring my faith that there is still fantastic rock in this world. And even better than that, I get to see them live, 10/21/22 in Dallas. I love them. the first video where they don't smile, Kanami's solo is awesome, I say this as a rock guitarist and as an extension.... a continuation of the voice in Saki's passion. wow fantastic writing as usual. Dear Jen! Greetings from Shizuoka, just under a dormant volcano where the Hobbit I am gets regularly fried by a Dragon! This is my first comment after having enjoyed quite a few reactions of yours! Hats off Milady! The (very) old geezer I am has lived in Japan for more than 45 years and seen quite a lot under the Rising Sun. And I am not the wiser... But I have certainly enjoyed my foolishness to the full! And at an age two and a half higher than these ladies (I do not call them girls!), I have been reconciled with rock I had given up almost 30 years ago! These ladies have all kinds of power, but their strongest is the ability to soothe you! Very rare and very precious indeed! On another note, keep your eyes on this island country which is fast changing for the best (as it was already better!), and this pandemic will reveal its wealth, decency and resilience, and Band Maid is only one (but the best) of many super talented all-female Japanese bands who are simply reviving rock! I am a man, and a very straight one at that, but I have no qualms to bow to ladies who deserve more than my modest admiration!
