I love this idea... I am curious to know why you didn't bring a layer or layers of epoxy all the way down to seal in the vinyl? Bring the bling up how far you wanted it then you wouldn't be limited to that ridge of the layers of epoxy. Just my curiosity. I've only blinged a few things and I wondered about the longevity of the vinyl with no epoxy seal to protect it from lifting with those rhinestones over it.
I didn’t do that because it would be really hard to keep a straight line on the stone placement for this kind of pattern. This is permanent vinyl on prepped steel so it’s pretty secure and the glue around the stones will help keep it all tight
Thanks you always appreciate you tutorials!😊. Have you ever thought of every making a small rhinestone cup kit together. There so pretty but I’m not sure if I would have the patience. But if you had a tiny kit put together I would be the first one to purchase. I appreciate you and your small business ❤
1. To spare epoxy that wasnt needed. 2. The stones dont stick out much farther than the section of the cup thats epoxied. I like the look of that better. 3. With a honeycomb pattern, if any section of epoxy below stones is uneven or thicker in places, it would throw off the honeycomb pattern. Very little room for error when doing a honeycomb.
Some resin tape instead of the yellow masking can be pulled up after it’s fully cured. Wide silicone rubber bands also work very well for me. They’re durable, reusable and less pricey than resin tape. 😊
Are there refill blades for the edge trimmer? Also, how do you know that your first row of rhinestones is going to end evenly? I do epoxy tumblers and I think this looks like a great way to learn how to add "bling" but my technical brain is going, errr, how do I measure so I know they are going to come out correctly. 😋 I have a number of 20oz skinnies that I'd like to use up but I'd love to add some "bling" for my blingy loving friends for Christmas this year. Gorgeous tumbler! Still loving your channel so much. Super talented and I love your tumblers! 🥰
If you want to know the exact amount of rhinestone rows needed for a portion of the tumbler, you can do a swatch of rows with your stone size on a test surface and then measure each row and use the calculation to transfer to your tumbler.
I was always curious about the longevity of those cup ... like if you use pain instead of vinyl as the first coat too. I just feel the hitch to want to seal everything with epoxy but to see someone like you so well versed in this universe not doing it make me believe its safe 😂
You mean under rhinestones? You can use paint. The adhesive and stones will keep it protected. Just prep your tumbler first like any other tumbler project.
QUESTION: How come your name has "sisters" in it? I have only seen you and not like you and your sister.. So im just curious where the sister part comes from? I love How this turned out!! It's beautiful!! Thanks for sharing hun!! 😊😊
Again your tumbler is amazing, but I do have a question. So you didn't epoxy the entire tumbler, so how is the bottom sealed, and can water get underneath your stones when washing it? Thank you for another amazing tumbler tutorial.
Thank you! Thats Permanent vinyl on prepped steel so it’s not going anywhere and the glue around the stones keeps everything pretty tight. I wouldn’t soak it but it’ll hold up
I have the rhinestones used linked in the description box for you. The majority are size ss20. I ran out of space to fit ss20 on the last row, so I used ss16 to fit in that last space but preferably, you want to use the same size throughout when you honeycomb. Ss20 and ss16 are the most common size stones to honeycomb on a tumbler.
This woman's work stands out.. I can look at the product and just know it's her work, don't even have to see who posted it. Amazing work Jessica.

@@FlynnSistersBoutique i was thinking on top of the finished product ! Wont paint or glue get off with washing ?
Beautiful as always love it❤❤❤
So pretty! Can you tell me what the purpose in the safety pin at the end of your picker is?
Unclog the needle on my syringe
@@FlynnSistersBoutique that's genius! I'm always losing my needle!
Love this! Can rhinestones be applied over epoxy or crystalac coats?
Yes. Just lightly sand to prep the surface.
Do you have a video on how to take Rhinestones off to start over after being half way down and not ruining the rhinestones?
I do not. I wouldn't recommend it.
Love ❤️ Can't wait to try ❤
Love your work! Is this tumbler waterproof? Or how would you care for it.
They are washable but not dishwasher safe.
Loved!!
Love it!!!💙💎
Thank you!!
😍 love it
Love this❤

It’s about my 2 daughters. Thank you ☺️
How do you shine up your stones?. As usual, you are great!
Just wash them with dish soap and water and a good sponge
Love it!
You don’t have to epoxy the rhinestones correct? Also how do you wash the cup
You do not epoxy over rhinestones. That would actually ruin them. Using the proper prep and adhesive, the stones are permanent with hand washing.
Again your tumbler is amazing, but I do have a question. So you didn't epoxy the entire tumbler, so how is the bottom sealed, and can water get underneath your stones when washing it? Thank you for another amazing tumbler tutorial.

What size should I use for tumblers?
Its personal preference but the most commonly used size for a honeycomb pattern is ss20
What tool are you using to put the stones on with.. is it a pen
A wax pencil. They are available in my supply shop linked in the description box.
how many stones rolls did you use?
You can purchase 1 bag of ss20 to create this
You don't put epoxy over the gems? How long does the adhesive for the gems last?
No you don’t want to epoxy over rhinestones. The adhesive is heavy duty and permanent
What adhesive did you use please?
I am using liquid fusion. You can find it in the description box in the flynn sisters supply shop link.
Thank you 💘
Can you put rhinestones on top of cured epoxy??
You can if you sand it first.
Do you sell your rhinestones to Australia and if so do you know the shipping costs? Love this one by the way x
Thank you! I’m sorry I don’t at the moment
I can't figure out what size stones you use. There's mm and SS . What size do you use when you cover a cup
I have the rhinestones used linked in the description box for you. The majority are size ss20. I ran out of space to fit ss20 on the last row, so I used ss16 to fit in that last space but preferably, you want to use the same size throughout when you honeycomb. Where is the squeegee from?
TheBoan LLC on Etsy, I have their shop linked in the description box
Can’t wait to learn this I missed up I’m the group
Omg so it takes like 2 days to do a Rhinestone tumbler lol yikes
Its definitely a labor of ❤️
@@FlynnSistersBoutique I would love to learn to do it that’s why I’m watching these and wrote down all the sites she got the supplies from 😊
Love it!
Thanks!
