I remember you from sfxt too we played a few times on 360 i use to xiaoyu and sakura its crazy what they did to the game even i quit cause online was dead just put the extra time into sf4 but at the time teaming up with my homie in ranked was one of the most funnest thing i like about THIS game 2v2 1v1 or 2v1 aspects when in ranked and its fair too
I cried about how it didn’t feel like sf4 but now regretting this 360 special. Backwards compatibility please!

Street Fighter x Tekken would've been so much better without the gem system.
It's only the only thing that made balrog able to compete.
It makes no difference from using gems to get top 10 on rank... yet it was for payers that wants to win easily smh
Certain characters needed the gems. Without them they weren't viable. Plus that made the game unique, they should've actually went deeper with it.
@@ssjrosethanos1996 as a rog main I agree. Completely unplayable without gem and pairing him with a good character like Nina.I think a big issue with the characters that are at the bottom of the list is they don't have any good midscreen combos.

Love SFxT. I’m a Tekken fanatic and I think Capcom did a fantastic job representing the Tekken feel in a Street Fighter game. That’s a near I possible task, but they did a great job. In fact if it wasn’t for the awful gem system this would be one of my favorite fighters.
They actually did a horrible job with getting the feel of tekken
I always just ignored gems in this game. My only real issue with the game was the way health bars worked. I wish rounds would go until both characters lose instead of just 1.
There is still fun to be had with this game though.
SFxT works the same way Tekken Tag Tournament works. It's a reference to Tekken, basically.
It'd be great to have as an option, at least.
Me too I like the idea of having to conserve and manage health but in practice it’s a lot more satisfying doing a full team battle like in MvC
I agree, but with how 60% matches end in time outs, that’d make it so much worse. If they did that they’d have to double the time limit (which they should do anyways).

Imagine if this game didn't have the gem system and the timer was a little longer. 10/10 game right there
They kinda fixed the timer problem in 2013. Didn't make it longer but hp regen is way less and you can take grey life with normal throw. And combos tended to be faster and more damaging
Purple gems were the only issue and the op paid ones
Eventually you get to a skill level, to where gems don't make a difference.

Timer could be slowed down by half a second, but generally it doesn't impact the majority of matches.
This more so has to do with Wong notoriously playing lame.
I saw, at Evo, a SFxT tournament, two players vs two players. And during one set, the second player on one side didn't even get a chance to play, because the other team just destroyed his partner - and the partner couldn't tag in until he'd actually hit someone. I felt bad for the guy.
I love this game I play it on my PS Vita at work till this day 💯
I want this game ported to next gen so bad hopefully capcom makes it happen on PS5
I hope it gets ported to PS4 and PS5 but part of me also thinks Capcom just wants to forget this game happened lol.
I love this game. Out of all the 3D fighting game SFxTekken is the only one I like. I am sad that Crapcom's greed and stupid marketing destroy the success of such fun game. I still play the game today with friends; ONE of the BEST coop fighting game ever!

If they remake sfxt again but this time with everything (all characters) available on the get go with the latest update included on physical version for ps4, xbox and switch. I would buy it in a heartbeat, showing capcom that my wallet goes with quality and quantity. Is not a bad game, but cutting content for greed is not the way I support the company.
I've always enjoyed playing this game since I got it a long time ago. As someone who doesn't play even close to competitively I thought it was a good casual game for me. My friends and always had a good time with it.
I really liked SF vs Tekken . I don't know why people slept on this game.
Pay to win gems
Horrible PR moves by Capcom. Some people datamined the discs and found day-one DLC on it. It was content that was finished and ready to go as evidenced by being on the discs, but Capcom charged players to unlock it, calling it "DLC."
That killed the buzz of the game really hard. There were other factors, but that was horrible press from the very beginning.

Nice, also a someone that likes the yugioh. There used to be a card game that flopped, was called UFS i think and had fighting game characters from different games. There was a soul street fighter, king of fighters, dark stalkers and soul calibur that i remember
I wanna play SFxT so bad, I barely gave it a shot when it released but I feel oddly oddly nostalgic about it
It saddens me we never got to have a fei long and law team

I wanna play this game again so bad man. It was in such a good state after the 2013 patch but by that time most people had dropped it, I had the game on PS3 which was the worst version (and I stupidly sold it in like 2016) and now it's unpurchasable officially! I'd buy it Day 1 if they announced a remaster with modern rollback netcode.
Actually you can download it on pc for free from a couple websites I know and u can add mods, stages and new rosters and if u have a modded ps3 it came with it I used to have one but sold it in 2019 such a good memories
I just bought this for vita, did it get that 2012 update that made it much better? (Better health bars, balancing etc)

I love this game, if the clock was like 30 seconds longer, and the gem system was gone it would be one of my fave games. Dictator and Kuma all day. Good team? Naw. Most fun best team? Yes.

It's part of the mechanics, they should overhaul the game in its entirety.
They have a free very basic ones that you start off with that really don't impact gameplay much that are ok'd for tournament, like idk +10% damage after hitting people 4 times

What's bizarre about it to me as I feel like people just put on nostalgia goggles after Street fighter 5 because it was called trash the entire time it was new.
They need to bring this back
It's a shame what happened with this game. Felt like ever since the gems were announced the entire product became cursed with a series of issues and misfortunes pre, during and post release. It was actually in a good place right before the 2012 patch and said patch also did the game some good but it was too late by then. Everyone already moved back to SFIV or MvC3 and let SFxT dry out.
why is this game not popular?
I miss this game so much and wish it had a sequel. Would be dope if it got a switch rerelease.
I firmly think this is the most fun 3D sf game. My only gripe with the game, and it’s a major one, is the lighting engine. The characters look reflective and metallic in a way that looks terrible. If only this game stuck to sf4s lighting.

Secondhand ps3 or psvita physical copy is your only bet. Vita version is superior version tho
